It does OK but it isn't what you'd call professional or even finished. You'd have to use BT to wake it up instead of your WiFi network but I'm guessing they'd say that's an OS issue. Same would apply to losing global control of the Android audio volume now that you have to be in the app to change it, that was a big deal too. It was so easy but a recent update messed that up. I've had my BluOS streamer for a while now and the OS is underwhelming. Yes I do update it often.

This app is close to useless. It is supposed to manage the music on my NAD Vault 2i (a hard drive to store CDs) but you cant actually manage anything. I regret ever buying the Vault or having anything to do with Bluesound. It was easier having a big stack of CDs and just playing them in a CD player. This is not progress, and a shocking example of technology that does nothing to enhance the user experience. Someone should bury their head in shame. It's that bad!

Stable and has some decent features, but lacks some very basic functionality that any decent music player should have. Unfortunately that somewhat cripples the very good (and expensive) hardware it is the only controller for. Devs need to look at poweramp full version to see what a real music manager/player is and is capable of. (Not to mention the level of configurability that's so lacking in bluos). I only continue to use this software as I love my powernode, but I wish it was complete.

Really like the App a lot. I do however have issues with missing cover art for the files on my NAS. Admitted, I only have the cover art embedded in the files and not stored in the folders - and I use 1000x1000 as default. Have allowed reducing the cover art, but issue still exit. A feature to reload cover art for an album (on File System) would be appreciated.

Used to be great but it's had issues finding the player for the last 6 months. It's extremely frustrating because we use the speaker to play soothing sounds when it's time to put the baby to bed. We've had to resort to playing it on our phones at least 4 nights a week. Not ideal because the actual speaker sounds great. I'm also looking to invest more into our setup and buy more speakers, but these issues make it pretty unusable. Sadly, I think I'll have to cut my losses and head over to Sonos.

When it's working, it adequately syncs my three Bluesound players and the sound quality is very good (more a function of player quality than the BluOS). But, it really is the most annoying and unreliable app/software I've ever tolerated. Updates are FREQUENT, during which the players are crippled, and after which there is no obvious improvement or user benefit. Usually I can't update the players simultaneously; three players means thee long updates with the whole system down.

I like this app. It works well for streaming Qobuz. However this app is affected by the Android 12 volume controls issue. You can no longer control playback volume if the app is in the background. This really diminishes the experience. If that issue can be fixed, I'd be a happy camper again.

Solid but with 2 big issues. -the first one is that the blueos device (in my case a powernode330) can't be added as a device in Google home. This is very bad as if I ask my google speaker to play a song in Spotify it won't play it in the powernode. - i understand that tidal is by far a better audiophile app, but the connection with Spotify is missing key features: It simply play the song, no scroll of playlist, artist, etc. in both case the integration with Google and Spotify is not acceptable

Interface is not as intuitive as connect services like Tidal or Spotify though. Ultimately made me use Deezer less which was my main service for a few years and use tidal instead. Direct connect is great, but the market is moving towards cheaper options that have that as well. The node is a fine option that will be the overpriced option very soon, unless they make the UI more customizable or directly connected to alternate services like qobuz and deezer, so we can actually log listening history

I have an extremely difficult time playing Qobuz on this app. About 70% of the time I try to play a differnt song outside of my queue, the app has a malfunction when trying to search music or even play songs from my Qobuz library.

It was a fantastic app, when it worked. For some reason now, however, it locates my player maybe 25% of the time, even though the hardware itself shows that it's connected to the network. I have to continually reset the player to get the app to recognize it, which for obvious reasons is a PITA. I hope this gets sorted out soon, otherwise it may be time to look for a new streamer - a route I'd rather not have to go down.

An addition: The android app can't find my player about every 2nd time I use it. I have given up on it, and just use the windows 10 app. I give the android app 2 stars, but I give the BluOS windows 10 app 5 stars. Quite of few other streamers seem to have "android & IOS apps" only. My phone often takes a bit of time to find my player. The fact that BlueSound now has a very reliable Windows 10 app is one of the things that has had me stay with streaming with the BlueSound company. 'I

Phone running Android 12 not able to find player if hardwired to my router (normal connection). If I switch to wifi, player can be found. My wife's android tablet running Android 9 can find the player, regardless of how it is connected. BluOs team advising to clear router's cache. I'm not thinking that will resolve issue. Had to wipe my phone last week which prompted this issue.

Moving from Kef wireless to this OS, the most dissapointing thing is, there is no individual cutting frequencies for sub and the main out, in Kef apps, I can set the high pass for the speaker and sub lowpass separately, so we can set the cutting base on our favorite, in BluOS you cant do it( you can just set the freq and I think the low pass and high pass cutting is the same on that freq).. please bluOS team, i know you guys can make such thing, to make your product better, and make it the best.

Update: Tried on an iPhone 11 and everything works perfect on the iOS side. They are just failing on the Android app. They blamed another app that comes on Samsung phones and also wanted me to factory reset the Node. Disabled said app, still issues. Refused to factory reset since it's clearly their app with iOS working fine. Hope everyone has an iOS device to use their hardware with!

Unstable, looses connectivity and often cannot find the player. Needs upgrading all the time. Poor app and ruins the sound system for me Edit 2021: The app still doesn't work properly, despite reinstalling, updating ++ it's just unstable and flimsy. More often than not the app cannot find the player despite being connected through Bluetooth. The software makes this player useless. Edit January 2022: No satisfactory help from the Bluos team, player still severly unstable.

Excellent sound, quick setup, no blockers encountered. Great product overall and I would recommend. (I am using the built-in DAC via RCA L/R to a Rotel amp on bypass analog audio). App interface is organized differently that other matrix/multiroom apps I've used (e.g. CasaTunes, Nuvo), but gets the job done well.

Zor. N. Apr 13, 2022

Excellent app. You could set led lights to turn off automatically after short period and turn on automatically if the app is used. Please provide search option in Deezer and better integration including personalized music mix from Deezer. Five stars from me ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pro: Much better than big box soundbars. Con: Finicky software, frequent reboots of BluOS soundbar. Not Alexa friendly, and DON'T UPDATE THE SOFTWARE! Your soundbar will fall off your WiFi network & you may or may not get it connected. The last time it happened I e did up spending $79 for a "service call" from the dealer. It took 2 people 45 minutes! The website does have some useful information but unless you are a geek I'd say, "Be Careful."

Great product with easy interface. Play from home network library as well as streaming services. Price easy on the bank account, too!

hen. c. May 8, 2022

it's great! so easy to use and sounds great at it's price range. love that it has access to so many streaming services.

Der. O. May 4, 2022

Seems to work well despite other negative reviews. My android phone couldn't find the streamer for the initial setup but I set up on my PC and now my phone works fine.

Slow and buggy as reported by others a bit of a let down considering the price of the equipment purchased. Node N130 2022 It also won't work very well on a chromebook ...in addition it will stay on the bottom taskbar on chromebook and you cant maximise it again, I understand lenbrook/ Bluesound are looking into it but from other feedback this is apparently slow to react.

Great. Please display file type, bit rate and depth on the now playing screen. This is important to many.

joh. f. Feb 22, 2022

I love Bluesound, I am a dealer and an owner, ten years. I think that Bluesound is a ridiculus return on investment, to put it bluntly. You can do better, but, not at this price. At least double and more to do better. That is the goal, always revealling more of the music.

Just purchased Pulse 2i. I can't complete the setup, app takes forever to find player and then it looses the connection before it can save the network... Please fix!

Zep. C. Dec 7, 2021

That app is terrible. It frequently loses the connection to the players in your network. Ive reached out to bluos support and they offer zero solution except to reset your entire home network. This does not solve the problem. The only way to get it working is to update the firmware on the device to the exact same version that was on it before. This forces the reset of the player so that you can access the network settings. Then it takes about 10 minutes of button mashing to get it working.
