Just two weird things about this app. You have to go to another page to find the Logoff button and once logged off the page says "Welcome", not "goodbye please come back soon". Otherwise it's pretty good.
Used to work just fine on my old phone, but with my new one, the app never verifies the device, thinks it was added 2021 years ago, and constantly forgets that I am logged in.
This app has just updated and now won't log in simply says "something won't wrong" with no other details. Fix it please. ASAP. ETA: Must have been a 'glitch' all is good now and I've re-rated the app to 5 stars as otherwise I find it very good !
Never had any issues with the app, operates smoothly and functions as expected. I would like to request a feature though. Hopefully this is an appropriate place to do so. I like concept of the PIN login access, but I haven't used it primarily because I'm concerned about remote access to my device. If we could have the option to turn on pin + netguard that would be ideal. Might seem counterintuitive to some, and they'd still have the pin only option. But I'd feel safer having both. Thanks.
Excellent app! Really intuitive and easy to use for the way I think. Love the layout and how easy it is to drag money between accounts or a saved payee in the grid view. Also LOVE that you can give accounts nicknames and then these nicknames show up in your list of transactions for each account and on your statements. Also great that I could change what happened to the money in my term deposit at maturity on the app without having to go in store.
Honestly the best banking app that I've used so far! Easy to use. Drag & drop is a huge highlight & using own images for icons etc. Some extra things to think about adding to make it perfect. -Being able to organize accounts in a certain order, Im currently putting numbers at the start of the name to achieve this. -Having a calculators to use that can give an idea for homeloans or loans in general. -On automatic payments having the option to put how many payments or the amount to be paid total.
Rhis app only gets 3 stars because while its ok, the speech mark icon that appears on the home screen is pointless and annnoying as it covers balances when in list view and there's no option for it to be moved or removed! Also their is no option to put an end date on automatic payments which would be handy when you know you only have to make a few payments! Will rate higher if they can fix these concerns!
Hi, I can not find an option to open a new account in the app and open new term deposit options. Also, I can not make payment directly from the old transaction details of a personal account. Earlier, I used to see the "pay again" option once I open the details of the transaction.

I recently replaced an old card and tried to activate the new card using the app. It doesn't work. I can't set a PIN. I tried to update the app, or at least check that i have the latest version. 8.32.1 on my Android. Perhaps someone could tell me if that's the latest version. Thanks Stephen. Yes - I know that now. I should have known that before you sent me the card so that i could arrange to update the version I have on my phone. FYI - I've done that now - with no help - no help - no help - from BNZ. Did I mention BNZ were no help? If you'd like to know how to fix the problem - feel free to contact BNZ. There is a fix . . .
Was an exceptional app. But now it won't update. So can't use it!!! So eventually after ages on the phone I'm told I must delete the app & Re-install the latest version. Done that. Now I still can't access it as it still needs an update which it won't do. I haven't been able to access my account for 24hrs. I'm stuck in Auckland lockdown4 over 1000kms from my home in the South Island. YEAH RIGHT!!!!!! UNIMPRESSED
It's a Joke when the app stops working the staff don't care about you and helping you with getting it fixed
There is an issue with the app when you try to amend the references or codes in any of the upcoming payments. You can only edit your references, not theirs (ie - the ones the payee sees), which means you have to re-do the whole thing from scratch. So annoying if you need to update invoice numbers etc.
Since the last update whenever I type in a reference when transferring money to another account it duplicates the first letter I type in. e.g. I type in 'g' and 'gg' appears. I always have to delete the extra letter. It also adds a comma when I press space after the first word. So annoying. Pretty good app otherwise. Edit: the keyboard bug was fixed a while ago so now its 5 stars.
Keep getting notifications from day old transactions
I love the app and usually it works exactly how I need it to, but for the past 2 weeks when I go to the 'activity' tab it won't load and then says I've lost internet connection... even though my internet is fine, and I've tried switching between using data & wifi, and it still says the same
Would be nice if I had the option when using the app to top up to only top up $10 but it only goes as low as $20
Great App. Easy to use. I like that you can place credit cards on hold at the touch of a button. Also nice that you can customize accounts with photos. Drag and drop to move money from account to account also good feature. Very good App.
New update is really annoying. Making credit card payments now takes much longer. Partial fix now, but it was better when making credit card payments was just the same as transferring to any other account.
Normally love the app, but latest update changed the colour scheme to white which is awfully bright, esp at night. And it is no longer easy to login, you MUST press login before you can login, rather than having the password/biometrics available at the landing screen. Edit: precious review still stands, however you have now made the credit card interface different than any other transfer window. Much more tiresome for reconciling than the original.
Good app except the international transfer is quite pathetic considering you're a bank yet other money transfer apps succeed so much better.
BNZ app can be complicated to navigate and use. One major drawback with the mobile app is that certain areas which require passwords and user IDs do not have magic eyes to see what's been typed. And with the lack of vision it becomes frustrating and too many tries boots you out and locks the system sometimes needing a phone call to unlock When organizing international wires better language could be used to indicate what to select to provide reception account to the Bank of New Zealand.
This is incredibly frustrating. App has requested to update application, no problem but it wont allow me to! Keeps going around around the same pages without allowing me to update. Impossible! I have uninstalled and installed about three times now. I no longer have access to my accounts and need to!
Outstanding app BNZ! A massive amount of time saved using this for my banking,its so easy to do everything!,adjustments,making changes,additions etc. Life changing for me! My favourite app by a long long way! Brilliant mobile banking with the absolute best bank BNZ! BNZ is breathtaking! Highly reccommend this bank as well as this app.Cheers Thanking You Penny.
Has been great. Until today. Been using this app for years and it's been fantastic except now I can't use it because it says it needs an update but according to play store, I have the latest version and had it on auto update. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and got the same issue. Very disappointed
Terrible app😡 been trying for over 2 weeks, still can't access anything, I can log in but then it just freezes then crashes🤦🏻♀️ desktop version is so slow and I can't switch my online purchases on my card, I thought with a good bank like this it would be fixed, getting sick and tired of the app crashing, last time it was showing 0 balance but I had money in my acc, took about 3hrs to show and I couldn't even buy/withdrawal anything. Takes 20yrs to get fixed🤦🏻♀️
Annoyed with the latest update to the login process. The extra tap to login is pointless. Was much better being able to just touch the fingerprint sensor an get on with with. Don't like the white either. Bring back blue for consistency.
If I could give zero stars I would, as no matter what I do I cannot make any payments or transfers with this App. Get an error message; "This transaction is similar to one made less than a minute ago" despite being 1st and only transaction for the day. Visited Branch to get help, told to ring online banking support, which I did today, was told uninstall and reinstall App (which I'd already done). Outside of that, no advice of how to resolve 🤷♂️
