This was a great app until they decided to throw you in circles. I used it for years. I had no problems with this app until just a few months ago when I could no longer update or restore my purchase.The app directs me to the new version but that app also has the same issues and is also no longer going to have updates. It would be nice if they just kept things the way they were. This app used to be packed with great advanced features, now it's been downgraded and more hassle to use than worth.
Love this app. I had been using it on my android phone then decided to purchase a tablet for better visibility. So glad I did. I have been using it for distance races and transports onboard my sailboat instead of a chart plotter. It would be nice though if I could program marks from my desktop while I am planning a trip or a race in a new venue. Well worth the subscription!
I paid $10 for this app February of 2017. Summer of 2018 I was still able to download charts to areas I had not been, meaning it was not just a 1 year subscription. Since you have give to a subscription model that expires every year, should I download the entire U.S. to my phone before my subscription expires? Is that the only way to make sure it will work when I need it to?
Like many others, I purchased this app a few years ago, (1-time, $15 purchase price), under the guise of a useful app for boating that I would always have with me. After the developer(s) had everyones money, they came up with an ill-thought out scheme (scam) that they could fool everyone into paying "once" for the basic app & then charge them another $15 annually for a "subscription". New users might be persuaded to do this but all the original buyers felt scammed. Now, poor ratings & reviews.
For me personally I think you should be a little more liberal with International border Lakes. When fishing Rainy Lake in Minnesota this summer there are some areas you are forced to go through in the Narrows between the east and west side of the lake and also navigating to Kettle Falls etc... using U.S. buoys that are not covered with your Maps because I believe you interpret them as being Canadian Waters. This is dangerous considering the depths and hazards and a huge pain. Had I known this ahead of time I would have gotten the North American package for 5 more dollars which I tried to upgrade to buy paying an additional 5 but was told no. Thanks Nate. Otherwise I like it. Very accurate the two years I've been using it.
RIP OFF!! Originally paid $10 for the app with download able charts so it could be used when no cell signal. Now I have a new phone and all apps reloaded accept this one that now... wants 34 dollars per year to use the app. No WAY
I had this app many years ago and all of it was free then they decided to change their model and screw me over after I already paid. No amount of complaining worked. Looks like a class-action to me but not worth my time sure. I will just never use their products again.
Paid for the app a number of years ago then they wanted people to update to the new version so they could change people again for it. Now I see they are forcing people to switch by discontinuing the app now the get to change everyone 15$ a year for something they already paid for and were told it was a one time fee. Totally unfair to there customers
When I purchased this app 4 years ago it was a one time purchase and you were supposed to have it for life. Now your discontinuing it and we have to pay more! That's BS! I think the better business bureau should be notified about the shady s#*t going on here.
horrible, constant advertisements. I'm trying to navigate a boat and this stupid app keeps popping up upgrades and advertisements. I already paid for what I want. just leave me alone.
After years of using this app they now charge more money for a "premium" version. complete bait and switch.....what do you mean no changes, you could not even use satilite view woth out dishing out 15$ for an app i already payed for?
So I paid for this app and now Navionics stops supporting it and wants me to pay for the replacement app (which is now subscription) without any credit at all for the purchase of this app...wow! what a deal
Rip off, I paid $10 for the app and now they won't honor our agreement of what I paid for. They now want more money. This kinda sounds like a class action lawsuit. Classic bait and switch
Marking and accessing waypoints is way too cumbersome. Having a waypoint button would be very helpful
This app was amazing. Helped us find the sweet spots and stay on the fish! Works without signal too
This is the best fishing app you can get hands down. But why doesn't Navionics work with Garmin chartplotters? The Navionics map is so much better than the Garmin map.
when i purchased this originally it was not a subscription now it seems to be thanks for the response. "bought the original app now i have to uninstall and buy a different app??"
I got rob. When this app first came out I paid 15 dollars. Then they went to this style app and wanted me to pay again. Now its asking me to sign in. ??? App no longer works. Just took my money. I refuse to pay anything extra.
I have had this app for a while and with the new update it's no better than anything else. I am uninstalling and hoping for my refund.
I paid for this app years ago with the assurance that it would be upgraded for "life". It's bad enough that they screwed me,but I have to apologize to the hundreds,if not thousand,of students that I recommended this app to.

Just purchased this app. I am a Navionics fan, but not for this app. The write up implies it has more features for the price than it does. The app itself does not state that they are free the first year. it wants you to subscribe for each. It seems everything is an add on. i do not plan to sign up for the options. Read the print carefully. Not worth the price for me. Probably will never use it for navigation or planning a route.
