This is a great app, and I have used it in the past on iPhone and iPad, and currently on Pixel2 and Samsung TabS3. Why won't the publisher allow the app to install on the PixelBook, which supports Android Apps.
Had a bit of difficulty getting the new HD app to work, but after some help from support, the app works perfect!
I bought this thinking it was an HD version of the standard app. It is not an hd version. It is a tablet version. I don't have a tablet and have no need for a tablet. Now it is too late for a refund.
I purchased this app but it says download pending purchases over a week ago and nothing downloaded what the heck
Absolutely fantastic. Used this for a trip from Corpus Christi to Clear Lake. There were a few times where the map did not fully match up with reality, but that could have been a GPS resolution issue. PLEASE PLEASE allow for AIS to be pushed in. It would be the best app out there.
Has been working great for a long time now on Nexus 6P. Great navigation app with auto routing and good charts. Very easy to use. The cost for the features you get is astronomically small compared to a chart plotter.
Took the boat out for the first time this season May 28, 2018 into the Lower Chesapeake Bay out of Hampton City Park at Dandy Point. Purchase a Samsung Tab 4 which has the 10.1" screen. Worked flawlessly!! The Tab 4 has a very bright screen which is great but also big battery draw. I purchased a solar battery supply to power the tablet. We were out for most of the day and still had 48% battery left in the tablet when connected to the solar battery backup. Was great to be able to locate and then navigate to known structures, wrecks and artificial reefs for fishing.
A great app! Awesome auto-routing and extensive library of destinations and charts. Only wish it allowed me to store the charts in my devices media storage or remove downloaded charts to save space.
Everything is great about this app except that I can not save nor import my waypoints! Seems like a simple and critical function that was just omitted......
Great app cant for the life of me get it to plot the route I'm actually running though.
Worked great when I first purchased. Now it will not let me open app. Keeps telling me to uninstall and then reinstall.
Finally the feature I've been waiting for. Good work. Only issue is map rendering seems a bit slower with this update.
Would be much better without the advertisements. Also needs ability to store data on external SD. Otherwise, works well with few issues.
What happened to the "go to" function for Android?? I works on my iPad but I can't seem to find it on android.
Overall a good app but I buy for apps to avoid being harassed by popups and advertisements. These popups take quite a bit of the small screen real estate I have on my handheld device. AND they keep coming back when I close them (frequently). I've waited to see if things changed but it looks like things are only worse. With OpenCPN out for Android, this is no longer my goto chart app. Sorry Navionics, you lost me as a customer. And I won't be recommending you anymore either.
This app used to work really well but now you can't zoom in and it doesn't have much detail I think I paid $35 for I was happy at first but not anymore you get all these pop ups they're really annoying
I don't know where they get the contours for lakes but it's like they just make up there own. Minnesota lakes are so far off its unbelievable. Can't belive I spent 50$ for the HD
A lot more testiñg to be done
Works amazing! wouldnt change it
I have used this app for over three years. It is pretty true to its mark. Not as detailed but, thats ok when used as another source of info to back up another system, or to check for deviation from intended. I have an issue with the fact that I bought it and there were no expiration dates. Now, there is, I have to keep paying. That was not part of my purchase and you changed the rules. I believe I fall under a grandfather clause. If I purchase an add on, ok I agree, but not the terms of the original purchase date. Fair is fair. Long time users heed the changes. Navionics, how about some fair treatment for your original users.
Been using this app for years its more than worth its hefty cost even with all the new rediculous pricing. Of all the 237 apps I have on my phone, I would never say that about any paid app. this app is the exception to that rule. It has literally saved my lower unit 20+ times in unknown waters where things were not marked on the water itself but contours on the map combined with depth finder........ invaluable!!
This is a great resource for planning if you haven't been to the lake before, it is also a great backup
Better resolution than the screen on my bridge. A must have for fishing and boating. Thanks Navionics!!Get it!!
You lose what you paid for if you buy a new tablet so be prepared to throw money away. Was able to download the main app again but add-ons are lost. I'm sure that's not in the terms but what can you do. Just shows what kind of developers they are. I've already read where you said you have to download the same app but lose your add-ons. If that's the case you shouldn't charge for the add-ons seeing as I've already paid $60 for your app. I Think it would be a good idea to pop up a notification telling people about the needing of an account with you, otherwise they lose their purchase history. I know there was nothing like this when i bought this. *** I did that. it asked me to sign in to my account. Could have swore I had one now that i think of it but it says i don't. I work in the Inland towboat industry and recommended this to everyone for a while. now if i recommend it I'll be sure to warn them of these issues. Very costly.
Since they have updated the android app to have sonarcharts, I am a much happier cusromer! Awesome!
Paid $50 for this app 3 years ago, and they discontinued it. Customer service has done nothing to address this. Pathetic! Dishonest! But they are Navionics, so they don't need to worry about pleasing their customers.
