Terrible. The app kept crashing and redirecting to a website to log in, which repeatedly froze. After rebooting my phone I logged into the app, which resulted in a popup asking me if was enjoying the app. I clicked on "No" and was sent to a page with a 404 error. My first impression couldn't be worse.
App freezes, can't log in... Useless as it is now. Reboot, reinstall, clear cache, nothing helps. Developer?
Not sure if a zero star is possible...but thats what I would give it now. Version 4.6.5 does NOT work with Android 10 software. Prior to this change the app was very good. Not sure when it was changed, but it should have been tested first. Only location you can set for tides, weather, etc. is "current location"...period. Good luck trying to figure out how to make it relevant.
Will not load correctly. Freezes. Great for an app that may be used in emergent circumstances. Disappointing.
Very useful for local boating to check various tide/weather stations.
Good app for general weather conditions but doesnt give wave heights from weather bouys.
Haven't had to use the app yet but I like that all my information and requesting a tow is right at my fingertips
Could never set up my info. Impossibl after many times trying
GPS numbers are too small to read on a bouncing boat! This is crucial to safe navigation. Screens should be with light text on dark color background to reduce battery drain during emergency use. This dark screen mode was provided in the previous version was not carried forward in the present release.
I rely on this app for weather (mostly when dealing with friends and family who want to ride but don't understand how marine weather works). App is simple, responsive, and helpful. No nonsense. Well done!
Tide charts are correct for my area, weather is also accurate. We need more stations close to inland rivers that feed to the sound as they tend to rise and fall faster from runoff water volume. I use this app for scheduling marine construction work. So far so good!
Extremely difficult to log in and set up, was trying to set up on my tablet but a phone number was required, went back to my phone and got message that email and password were not correct. Why do so many companies strive to get you to set up accounts and make it so frustrating, I'm giving up.
Have not yet used when cruising but the idea is great. Am sure it will continue to improve. Current data would be helpful, especially in local spots for which there are no nearby NOAA gauges. Alerts and advice from local stations would be great. Maybe combining "Notice to Mariners" info? Keep at it!
A nuisance malware. Every now and then it pops up some distracting message or advertisement when I'm busy working on other things. If you like to be distracted by an application that you rarely use this is the one for you.
Good enough! I was thinking of what could make the app better, but it has just enough to help you out. I have more elaborate options for weather, tides, wind and currents but when I need a quick look this has all of it with a quick look to let me know if I need to look elsewhere for more details.
Last year = 5 stars. Now=1 star. I use this for the storm alerts. Right now there is a named storm out there, but I have not received an alert. It WAS the only app I could find that would alert me to potential storms regardless of my location. I live in Florida. I travel a lot. I really miss being alerted to pay attention to potential storms. Oh, please fix this!
We broke down over Memorial day weekend and had to get towed back to the marina. TOWBOAT US had our boat hooked up and placed it directly on the trailer before we even had a chance to get the other vehicles over to the ramp! Our boat is pretty heavy and there would have been no other way we could have gotten it on the trailer!! I will be a member for life now!!! Thanks boatus!!
Loaded fine at first...then would not let me log in...got stuck at one out of state location for tide info...tried to reset password multiple times with no sucess...glad the towing service works...better apps are available with less hassle.....finally got it up and working with help from developer...performs well...easy and simple to use...sorry for the late update...very happy with it now..
Bugged - location services don't work. I cannot log in
It's a must if you're a serious boater! Plus the tide tables are spot on!

This app is working well. Had some early issues but now it has my home port locked in. Very convenient for tides and weather. Hope I never need a tow but the feature is there if I have cell service.
Too many alerts. All or nothing. Storm alerts are too frequent. After you select region alters can come in rapid fire minutes apart. Need to limit to 30 or more minutes for named storms.
Terrible crash and redirects me to website that will not open .JUNK
It would be a good app but ever time I opened it I had to log in, even after clicking "stay logged in" I contacted the app developer and all they said is that they would look into it.... I know what that means... I uninstalled it. 👎
Awesome app great to have if you're in trouble and need a tow
This version was giving me a crash loop during setup, hope the next fixes that. (Edit 9.27.19) Working like a dream! Just the functions I was hoping to find in one place. Great job!
Great app with weather, towing button, insurance card, and membership to boatUS information. You can set up up to 5 places to check weather, wind speed, swells, buoys, small craft warnings, tide information, sunrise and sunset, and most important find the nearest marina that offers discounts! Great app!
Lots of good info, easy to use
Just installed. Initial conclusion: Kinda disappointing. Negatives: unable to add launching point as a place in " my destination." The current weather data supplied did not match NOAA or weatherunderground. Kinda makes me wonder about the tidal data presentedLotsa leads to various articles on boat maintenance. Not sure how useful when on the water. Positives: "request a tow" in large red tab top center. Boat information similar to mmsi data. Can apparently register more than one boat.
