Bob Books Reading Magic #1

Where as I would love to leave a 5 star review for this app I cannot. All 3 of my children have loved Bob Books for years so when I came across this app I thought how fantastic. I have a new reader in the family and how cool to have the Bob books they love on a mobile device. I did not hesitate to pay the 2.99. Now I regret making a rush decision. So basically the levels 1-4 were mirror images of each other. I anticipated that if I was paying 2.99 for this I would have received more.

I thought that if it was a paid app that there would be more levels but there aren't so it's not a very good investment. I already have the Bob books so I was hoping this would be something interesting to add to what we already have but it wasn't really. It doesn't seem to save my son's progress each time he exits the app. It always starts at the first story each time. I feel like there's a lot of wasted potential.

I am beyond impressed with this app and how it has helped my son's reading! He has now passed all of the level and the app says that there is another app that would be next, but the play store doesn't show it. Are there other Bob Book apps?

My 4 year old has completed this twice and she keeps going back for more. Great companion for the Bob book series! I cant recommend this enough.

I just bought the paid version now and it's saying unfortunately it's has stopped, it's not working and my boy is despirately interested to play it. Can you please sort it out for me. Thanks

Bought this tonight and the levels aren't unlocked.... Confused what I paid for and disappointed it's not working

The app doesn't load from the home screen. Disappointing and a waste of money.

Good for kids to learn how to read! Some kids may think it's boring, so best to use it along with parents.

Wait, so I paid for an app that only has one page of each story?

It won't install.

Was expecting to get more from a paid app. My 4yo went through all the books in like 15 minutes. I thought it would actually have different activities or at least more pages, not just one from each book. Totally not worth it unless it was a free app. Wish I could get my money back!

Update: 2 Jan 17, After talking with the tech team, it appears the app just didn't work well on my phone, LG G5. I downloaded it on our Galaxy Tablet and it works perfectly. Thanks! Old: If it worked like the lite version it would have 5 stars. Unfortunately it's very buggy. Arrows don't work, doesn't repeat words and sentences, most of the chapters don't open. I hope they fix it. My 3 yr old loves the free version and actually learned from it. She can read "Mat sat," like a champ.

Terrible app. After my daughter finished the first page the app took her to book 2 page 1, and after finishing that it took her to book 3 page 1. So the level of difficulty is too steep. Looks like a bug. Why allow a child to progress so quickly when she can't read the first page? App doesn't allow us to read page 2? A good reading app would test a child's skills and adjust accordingly, not just let them roam around freely between pages and books.

Did not feel I got value for what I paid. My son was done the app within 15min and was bored with it. I did not feel it challenge him enough which was disappointing.

Don't expect the full books but not a bad little app. Sure with they had more sets available. At the end it says level up and play more but there doesn't seem to be any more available. :(

Great app. My 2 year old loves it. Only thing I would change is to be able to lock the levels with parental lock. It will change to level 2 on him and he gets frustrated because it wont let him put the letters in any order.

My 4 and 2 year old love this app. You can change the settings so that the letters are either named or sounded out. This is great in addition to the books we have :)

Great App! My son loves it. Gives my voice a break and makes these well known books more interactive!

Perfect to have the kids do while shopping, instead of just mindless games

I love the books, but after paying for app, it would not download. Waste of money. How do I get a full download, or refund? Prefer download.

The demo version that convinced me to buy this app has no issues. This version, barely plays sound at all and most of the times it tries, it plays a split second in a loop.

It needs a next level option. I would like something through to grade 8

My kids are addicted to READING

I have the box set of Bob books and this app makes the books way better in my four year old's eyes. I like that there are four stages to build up to actual reading.

I got her this app to give her something to learn in a way I know she already likes.

App loads just fine until you select a picture, then it freezes and force shuts down. Garbage app!

Free version opened for me, so I made a leap and this one does too. I never pay for apps, but since my son is beginning to read with bob books I felt like paying for something educational would be a worthy investment. This app turns out to be amazing and it makes me so ecstatic that my son's having so much fun learning! I highly reccomend this app! Try the free version first though to make sure it's compatible with you phone.

Great app 5 stars if it would move to sd card.
