Boggle With Friends: Word Game

It's fun. However, it's been glitchy for quite a while. I keep thinking they will fix it one of these days but they never do. Infrequently, it will freeze during a game. If that game is a BB tournament you automatically lose. If it's a normal game, you have to restart on it and you will lose a little of your time in addition to the hassle of restarting. Please fix cause I loved this game when it worked

Locks up all the time. I've been playing this game for years, including other phones and older Android versions, and never had this issue until the last 8 months or so. Could be my phone or Android, I guess, but I see others with the same problem. Hope it gets fixed soon. I will update my review if it does. There is another bug in the tournaments when it gets within 1 hour of the transition from one day to the next. I've reported this bug twice, and obviously no fix for it yet.

The game is an a serious blast except for the times it locks up. The time doesn't count down when it locks, but all buttons are useless when this happens, so you can't pause it. If it unlocks while you're away, it counts down without you making a move, so you've effectively wasted one game. Other than that, it really is a whole bunch of fun. I would no doubt rate it a 5 without this glitch.

In spite of the brutal ads, this game used to be 5 stars plus! Super fun. Now it randomly freezes constantly making it almost unplayable. I can hit the back button, and the app asks if I want to end the round. It is just the gameplay that freezes. You know, just the most important part. 😐

Great game, needs less ads This is a fantastic game, that's challenging. The only thing that needs to be addressed is the ads OR at least give us the option to watch a 2 minutes and so we can get like 15 minutes and free or something like that instead of after every round there's a 30 second ad. Address that issue and it'll be 5 Stars

This game is getting worse by the hour. Changed my phone and now it always freezes all the time, sometimes three times in a single game. The daily bonus says it expires before I can get the mega prize and the match of the day won't load. I can't play tournaments anymore because of the freezing. I've had this issue for over two months. This was my favorite game, but now I'm seriously thinking of uninstalling.

Loved this game for years now. But tournaments have become unplayable since an update started freezing mid play nearly every game, requiring a restart. Normal matches are difficult because whenI have to restart it after a freeze, I forget what words I've already done. I did all the help file things, contacted support, who said keep an eye out for another update. Still nothing a month later. Sad.

Zero stars. Yet another update. Still freezes. I'm tired of losing my power ups when the game freezes and you can't even finish. It doesn't acknowledge you even played but you lose your tokens and power ups and even though it appears everyone has the same issues, nothing is ever done to correct it. Don't waste your time. You'll just be frustrated and they'll never fix it

I was ready to delete the app after this new update because it froze all the time and the ads were ridiculous. But I figured out how to turn off ads! Under settings, go to "limited data sharing" then there is a button to turn off ads. Now the app is running well and it's so much more pleasant without the lengthy ads. You're welcome👍

Have there been any fixes to this game for the freezing?? Updqte: Now it just keeps freezing mid game ...Love it...But there have been a lot of glitches lately. It has logged me out. Lost my scores. And lately the weekly challenge no longer works. The challenge was my favorite part of the game. Playing against others and trying to get the top score. Too bad.

I don't know what you guys did in your last update but it caused a major issue. At least once per play session the game crashes so badly that I have to restart my phone. It freezes the entire screen. This has been one of my fave phone games for a year but if this doesn't get fixed I'll have to quit. When you do fix it I'll change my rating.

Latest update causes crashes. It's not ad related because I have the paid version. It worked great for me before but now the only way to make it unfreeze is to restart my phone. Love this game, it's been a staple for me for years- please don't leave it so frustrating that I stop playing! Happens multiple times a day 🙄

Haven't been able to earn coins with ads for weeks. The game also frequently adds letters to my entry, can't explain it - but say I'll enter "boggle" & it'll keep adding letters, making it into a long, non word. I've downgraded to 1 star. If I didn't have a friend that this game is the only I can keep in touch, I'd quit it, it's that frustrating! Oh, of course! Ads finally worked after my bad review! But bit changing my rating till they're consistent & game stops having a mind of its own!

I love boggle. This is not a great experience. I overlook most of the poor because the base game is such fun. Two things that make the have intolerable is the amount of jiggle animation on each block as they are touched. Way way too much. The other awful thing is that the letters go red as you swipe through them. This negative messaging should only happen when i try to submit an invalid word. It is confusing and I'm never sure if the word was correct. Is bad

Still the best, long-lasting mobile game ever made. Been playing since 2012 on and off. It's the only mobile game I've never gotten bored of entirely. Some nice features would be: 1. Last logged in/played match date on person's profile 2. More detailed profile statistics 3. Fixing the lag that occurs when playing in rounds with lots of bonus tiles 4. Ability to see which power-ups your opponent used BEFORE you play the same round against them

I love this game! It's so much fun! However, there are a ton of ads. Even worse, my games freeze or lock up all the time! I can't press any buttons or do anything. I have to force exit the game and then go back in and then either the game terminates or I have to resume when it wasn't automatically terminated.

The game plays in portrait mode. More ads appear in landscape mode (sideways view). Every single ad in landscape mode causes the app to freeze. In a three round game, I have to restart the app three times. This will cause a lot of players to abandon this application!

Edit: it's been 2 months since I wrote this review, and the freezing is worse than ever. Sad. I love this game. Been playing for years. But for the last month, the game keeps freezing during play, forcing me to close the app and reopen it. It. Happens. Every. Single. Day. Why hasn't this been fixed yet? I'm not the only one it's happening to, either. Come on, guys. Get it together. This is a huge PITA and makes us not want to bother playing.

Received a notice today when launching the boggle App, "Hey! We're better now. There's a newer version that will improve gameplay." downloaded anf installed the updated version. First game after upgrade... App froze again while swiping a word. New version with same old problems, namely: App freezes during gameplay particularly while swiping words. Even after updating the app today (06 Apr, 2022), the same problems continue.

Got excited when I saw today there was finally an update which stated "to make game play better". Looks like the ads are shorter or you can close them out sooner and the advertisements at the bottom are now overlapped by the "back" button -- which were two issues constantly mentioned here. Unfortunately, the most important issue has not been fixed -- THE GAME KEEPS FREEZING MIDGAME! I was all prepared to change my rating to 5 stars, but nope.

Overall, I have always enjoyed Boggle. Unfortunately, there have been at least 4 or 5 instances where the app froze up while playing a tournament, essentially wasting any tickets needed to participate, not to mention time. An EASY 4 stars if you fix that glitch.

I uninstalled this q while ago because it keeps locking up. If playing a tournament, you automatically lose. Just reinstalled it thinking they must have fixed it by now. NO! It seems to freeze more than before. I'm uninstalling it again. Not worth the frustration.

Been playing for several years and love it. Until v17.47 kept constantly crashing mid game. Several uninstall and reinstalls and won't play at all. Zynga tech support say the same thing for over a month, that they are aware and working on it. But they will not roll back to the previous stable version.

I see that my issue is shared by others who wrote reviews. The freezing has become very frustrating. Over the past few months, I've stopped playing altogether because the freezing was causing me to lose time and games. I wondered if it was just my phone but I see others experiencing the same thing. This is my favorite game but I don't play it much anymore because I can no longer accept the freezing, which has increased in frequency. Please review what may have caused this behavior.

Horrible 30 second long (mind numbing) ads over and over. I paid £4.59 for 30 days of no ads and had one blissful evening with no ads, but next morning they were all back. Emailed zynga twice over 2 days but no response. I contacted Google Play for a refund but apparently not getting what you've paid for isn't covered by their refund policy!? I then randomly had about 3 more days ad free and then straight back to constant ads between every round. In short, do NOT pay for no ads, IT'S A CON!!!!!!

UPDATE - Still keeps freezing. I've played this game every day for years. The freezing is AWFUL and right when I have a great score and I lose the whole thing! Particularly in the tournament games. Please fix this!! Seems people have also figured out how to cheat the game with impossible scores. Arggghhh!

Update 4/6/22. Disappointed that the supposed update did NOT fix the crashing. 1 star until fixed. Currently unplayable! (This is a 5-star game normally, and my daily driver for brain boosting.) Crashing like crazy on new phone (S22 Ultra). It freezes and you have to force quit the game. On relaunch, game has been paused, but your stride is broken. Forget about tournaments-- automatic involuntary forfeiture.
