The idea is simple enough. It's not that hard to understand what to do but the game is as dry as. Tap go repeatedly to grow your tree, prune as necessary otherwise tap some more. Initially the pot was so large some of the controls were covered on my Samsung Galaxy tab s. The vertical green bar is the health and the 3 coloured bars are stats. Red for stress, blue for water, green for fertilizer. The game auto waters and fertilizes the tree, you can set how often in the calender icon as well as how fast the tree grows. I'd suggest turning growth time down. Visually the game isn't horrible but the graphics look like a 5 minute slap job representing the early 2000's in video games. They're functional but low resolution and low quality. If you cut off the leaves the tree eventually dies. The cursor is very very fiddly to position correctly to make a cut you want. I'd definitely give the cursor 1/5 stars. Actually 1 star might still be too generous because its literally that bad. The game could be something good but isn't. It's not really worth your time to try it but if you do I would give you no more than 5 minutes before you give up. The one plus to the game is the help option is exceptionally detailed. Of 5 stars I would give the help option 5/5 stars. However one good thing does not make a good game.
If you want to know what I think.... I think that the game has good pic or grafics and it make you fill like you are cute or trimming the leaves and fun when you level up that's what I think.
I have kept the water and fertilizer levels mid range, left the stress at zero, and it dies almost instantly. Waste of time and frustrating as hell.
the ground area takes the whole screen so i can't see much also it lags and crashes quite alot and selection thing dosn't work too well.
As a bonsai enthusiast I can say this is the worst representation of growing bonsai.

A zoom function is required for the fine pruning, a better explained help guide or even a tutorial that helps you grow your first tree for the first 20 or 30 years would be good, the game gets really buggy as soon as you grow a tree past 1000 years old, by year 3000+ the game force kills your tree despite it being in perfect health AND being immortal, its a cool idea for a game and could use some fine tuning, all in all its what a person is looking for in a bonsai growers game, just needs more work to really make it easier to play for the less patient players
Terrible. Complete waste of time. Rubbish UI, rubbish graphics, rubbish simulation. Don't bother.
Just started to play it. Seems relaxing and interesting.

Uninstalled. Would freeze or loop through repeat chimes. Also...This is a sim app. Comments on the quality of graphics and programing are appropriate. BTW I do have real trees.
Best app ever the only improvement I ca sugest is a zoom so you can select branches more easily
Way to many leaves hard to see what your trying to snip off prefer the pc version of bonsai growing

Totally addicted app (game) .. got to be precise and even tho undo button is there I tend to repeat and get better at it.
Very cool design and concept. Could use minor improvements to controls, but overall this app is a gem. An undo button could be very helpful because it is to easy to trim the wrong limb. Some kind of 3d rotation would probably also make it easier. Still, this is an awesome app and its free, so you really can't go wrong.
There isn't anything else like it.

I retract former rating as I found my phone was at fault. Love this I can practice bonsai grooming without accidently killng any trees.
Without instructions, this is a very confusing game. Its also extremely laggy as well.
I cant zoom out, i tried and it wouldnt zoom out. So i uninstalled it and getting my memory that i used. I am finding a better game.
Need a zoom. The tree grows in a big bush, and the cutting tool is impossible to use. +1 for effort, I've been looking for an app like this. There's deff potential :)
A little tricky to get used to, but its the only one like it.

Worse than crap
My version doesn't show any seasons it just has a Help at the top. I can't ever get past two decades before everything starts to die. I also can't tell where I am trimming when the tree gets full. There are no purchase options and the ad covers the whole bottom of the screen.
