Bonza Word Puzzle

Finished the starter pack, 2 daily games and the thumbs up collection. I'm now onto the other classic packs and I'm really enjoying myself! The concept is really fun and I haven't gotten too many ads (the only annoyance are the full time ads whenever you leave the game for a few moments and come back). Really think I'm gonna stick with this one!

It's nice that you can turn the ads off...BUT no matter how much you buy, the hint button flashes annoyingly every minute or two. I think most people use their coins by accidentally buying hints. I get that hints is how they make all the money on the app, so I get that they're just trying to make money off me...but it's so, so annoying that you can't disable the flashing hint button.

I love this game! The puzzles are fun, I really like the mechanic of building the crosswords. There are many packs included, and user-created ones as well! The puzzle creator is easy to use. Progress isn't locked behind a paywall I also really like the way ads are handled. I have never had one pop up unexpectedly, and they are truly optional! You only watch them if you choose to get a free hint, or load an extra daily puzzle, or get bonus coins, and if you choose not to, you will never see one!

I would give it five stars if there weren't so many repeats. Some puzzles are too simple; for instance i just played one where the clue was CEO, and the only words were chief, executive, and officer. Seriously? I expect to spend more than ten seconds on a puzzle, and i don't ever want to play the same one twice. Most of the time, the game is super fun. The idea is great and the ability to turn off ads is even better. If you choose to watch an ad, you can always close it - eventually.

I really like the game, probably my favourite puzzle game in a while. The reason for the 3 stars is that you have to buy puzzle packs wit the in-game currency. While I understand that this is a way to make money, it does eventually seem to lead to a point where you can't actually play new puzzles anymore without buying extra coins. I'd love to be able to just play random online puzzles for free, instead of only the daily puzzle, which let's you farm the coins to get other puzzle packs. This way people who just want to play puzzle packs can still buy the coins, but it allows people to keep playing the game if they don't want to buy coins. This might just be an issue of me missing something. If you can actually already do this, this would probably go up to a 4 or 5 star review. Another feature I'd like to see is the ability to create Jumbo size puzzles yourself. Right now it's just normal size, but the Jumbo packs are my favourite puzzles, so I'd like to be able to make them myself.

I like this game. I don't care for conventional crossword puzzles. I'm not fanatical about guessing games either. One thing that could use improvement is pertaining to 'jumbo packs'. When I'm playing and I find a word, for some reason the screen resets, as in pulls back to default focus setting. It is rather annoying to have to re-expand 20+ times per level. It's much more intuitive to leave that choice in the hands of the player. A finite detail related to an intraveous malfunction.

I really love this game. However, the majority of the puzzles are incredibly simplistic - children's level. The more challenging puzzles cost 1000 coins to unlock, and completing the smaller puzzles is tedious and only earns you a few coins. Would pay for a full version of the app, but not constantly to buy coins.

I really enjoy this game but certain things are frustrating. You lose coins every time you purchase a puzzle pack - even if you finish the pack you net negative 20. When you "share with a friend" it doesn't take them to the specific puzzle, just to the app store even if they have the app. You don't earn coins at all for playing & reviewing community games. So if you're not willing to spend $$ on the game, you'll run out of options pretty quickly.

It's a fun and enjoyable game. The reason this is one star is some ads that the game delivers for additional puzzles don't have a way to close them. The ad finishes and shows no X, just a >>, that if you click on it a web browser opens. I have to close the app to get back to the game which defeats the purpose of watching the ad in the first place.

As advertised, this is a pretty addictive little game. Shuffling the pieces around to complete the crosswords can be pretty challenging, but always seems to beg for another attempt. It can be kind of difficult for those of us with big fingers to manipulate the pieces, but it's still workable. I would give it five stars, but when I try to read my achievements it just flashes the screen for a second and goes away again.

Unique, fun, and addictive. Finally a new type of word puzzle game. Very fun, have not stopped playing since I installed this game! Game is put together very well, definitely different than other word games, simple yet challenging at the same time. No ads unless you want coins or hints, free to play and so fun! Great job! Great Game!

I like word games and this has some good ideas. Some of the clues are too esoteric and to get help you have to watch one or more ads which are really intrusive. I don't know if there's a paid version of this but having been annoyed by ads to the point of writing this review I'm no longer inclined to look. I realize games developers have to eat but I'm really sick of mobile games that ram ads down your throat and will no longer support them.

STILL Top Notch! I have played this game for literally YEARS and it is still by far the greatest word game I have ever played. I've come back and started playing the puzzles I've played many times over and they never get old. Not knowing how many or which words you're looking to make is the marvel of this game. Add to it a clean interface and a ton of wit and you have a can't miss recipe for success. The jumbo puzzles are a nice touch. Will ALWAYS have Bonza on my phone. Always.

The game looks good and it's fun. The ad provider, though, is abhorrent. I don't have a problem with occasional ads, but these ones insult your intelligence by existing. So first you have a mute and info button that are only decorations and really just clickbait. Fought your way through that? Here's the next section with another timer! You press X, you get a popup you also have to close. And lastly, that triggers an overlay with another delay! Please switch to a more respectable ad provider!

This game is very fun. Some of the levels are hard though especially the ones with the mystery clues but it's nice to get your brain working. I wish we had an option where we could watch ads for hints though. But aside from that, I would 10/10 recommend you download it.

Very nicely crafted twist on the idea of crossword puzzles. Lots of puzzle packs to unlock via tokens earned in game (complete puzzles or *optionally* watch ads - I really like the way you can choose when and how often you'd like an ad!) You can also get puzzles created by the player community. It all starts easy and progresses to become quite challenging.

I never rate apps, but I had to make an exception for two reasons: 1) this game is genuinely enjoyable and 2) all of the ads in this game are OPTIONAL! I forgot what it was like to play a mobile game and not get interrupted every fifteen seconds, but this is a breath of fresh air. You can watch a short video for bonuses, but it is not required.

All round a great puzzle concept! I would give five stars but the daily puzzles seem to be repeating themselves and when I do watch an ad, it forces open the Play Store for some reason (not sure if it's a bug) which I didn't think it would be able to do, which is now affecting my Play Store search hits etc

It's fun to play for free for a bit. Not sure even if I hadnt spent the coins on hints if I'd have enough to buy another pack. But it's an interesting twist to a crossword puzzle and a whole lot easier ! The ads somehow open the playstore though even if you don't click on them which is really annoying :l

I really love this game. I'm currently having trouble getting it to open....update: appears my tablet was the issue. My new favorite game! I would love to see more of the Jumbo puzzles. I do pay to play, like the classics and the Jumbos are my favorites. I've finished all you have. Thanks! I have been enjoying and paid for several packages. But... if I get any more Legends of zelda puzzles I'm done. They can't be solved thru logic or guessing, just a waste of my real actual money, too many!!!!!!

Game itself is fun but ads for hints are absurd, and coins to buy hints are ridiculously expensive. Almost every ad is a minimum 15 sec long (have yet to see any less, many longer), plus 5 second mini game plus 2 second splash screen. Ads also have fast fwd button that NEVER changes to X when the ad is done so you might be staring at the screen for awhile. Puzzle packs have no description so you can't tell if they're all super short puzzles < 10 pcs or not, nor how many puzzles in each pack.

Nice and fun brain exercise, but coins are too hard to come by. To continue playing you *need* to pay for coins at least once (to unlock more puzzles). Ads are also excruciatingly long, for whenever you want a free hint. Buying all packs without using coins for anything else should be possible. At least the ones by the devs (not the community-made ones). It's a really cool and unique idea, though. Would rate higher with less pay-to-play mechanics!

I have so far enjoyed this game, themed crosswords with a single clue where the crossword is effectively a jigsaw. I have played this game offline, though you may need to be online to access a new puzzle pack. Overall an enjoyable way to spend time. As for adverts, I've only noticed them when I needed a hint, and they can be up to 30 seconds long.

Really enjoying this game. Especially enjoy option to create your own puzzles. Such a great game. Some puzzle packs are way too easy, though. My favorite for quite a while now. All word puzzle fans should try this one.

Lose a star because i ran through all the free puzzles and then bought all the puzzles i can and now it is impossible to play without either buying credits(blech!) Or just doing the Daily and hoping i get up to 220 eventually. It wasn't sustainable.

Looks good and seems fun to play but the ads are just killing it for me. As a non-native speaker I occasionally need a free hint by the game but having to sit through ads which easily last 30 seconds and must be babysit in order to progress just ruined it for me.

good game, mechanics, graphics, nice ambiance. could have packs of puzzles more accessible and not every one but the starter pack cost $. maybe make it easier to win them with points from games?

So far, so good. Been playing 10-15 minutes now and not one forced ad or attempt to sell upgrades. Puzzles have been to move around and interlock groups of letters to match the level clue in a crossword fashion.

Deceivingly simple gameplay for addictive , and challenging fun. fun. A modern interface that works well. Honestly like most games these days there can be a lack of clarity at times which drives people towards advertisements (support developers), but the ads aren't flung in your face. I'm enjoying this.
