Bookful

Supposed to get this free for 6 month through AT&T. Says to register for it in the app but there is nowhere to register using AT&T to get the free months. Definitely not paying for something I'm entitled to for free. Uninstalling.

Trash!!!! Got 6 months free for at&t and I got it set up last night for my kids. We'll today go to let them try it out and it keeps saying no internet connection please connect lol well here I am connected to the internet leaving this review....don't download it...I'll be contacting at&t and making sure there will be no charges or anything to do with this app

It crashes all the time! This app is such an excellent idea I wish the developer is able to fix the bugs. During the free trial the app was actually running fine but after I decided to subscribe to an annual plan it started to misbehave. Everytime I tried to use it, either the story stopped midway or it didnt even load at all. If this continues I'd really like a refund.

Cant even get a sample book to see how this app works. Only get the tutorial book as if that is interesting enough. Everything is lock, ok, I get it. We need to pay for it. But at least make one book available to use as an example and maybe it'll catch my interest on paying for the year subscription. Not going to drop $30 on another book app that claims it is great and leave it to chance to see if I like it after giving you my money only to struggle on getting my money back.

Bookful is an interactive book reading application that tailors reading to children of all ages. In my experience, it captured our son and daughter interest with a variety of different book genres and reading levels with a couple of swipes. They love how each pages come to life and the ability to record their reading progress audibly. Although the instructions are illustrated on how to navigate the digital book, there's a learning curve and getting used to. Children may have an issue but with some guidance, they should be ok on their own after some time. It's a great app that does not take much space, if i may suggest is to have a 'lifetime' membership rather yearly or monthly as I find it is a bit on the pricy side but the app has a free trial period so you may be the judge if this is something you and your children would enjoy.

The app can not be played while laying in bed, or sitting on couch the images only show proper when the phone is laying flat on a table. Not going to work out, when 75% of time it's in my kids hands I tried every way, there is no lock feature to hold book without laying it flat. The zoom and stretch features are difficult for little kids the find smurfs on the map was difficult for my 6 years old, and me a 41 year old, the match character sis not even look like the ones you needed to locate. I hope better changes are made. Looking forward to it.

They charged my account for an annual subscription that i never signed up for. They have no way of contacting them except through email and they do not contact you back! They also have no way of seeing or canceling a subscription. Even after they have charged me and i was going to cut my losses my child doesn't even have access to the app that I have paid for apparently. I am extremely frusturated.

I bought this for my kids as something fun to add to their learning experience during Covid. I would say its unique in the way its set up, your able to control the screen with your hand and move it to different angles. I love that the books come to life and that you can read alone or have it read to you. Either way you can follow along & the words light up. The app main screen also has learning games. I do think it could use multiple profiles for the children of the house and higher age books.

Personally, I like the app, but I would also like reading levels that are higher than fith grade. For example, it would be fun if they had wings of fire in there, or dumpling days. These are specific books, but they are just examples. Overall, if you have some kids that are 8 or younger, this could be a good app. No lag at all, and educational. No adds either. It is very easy for kids to use 😊

This is a great book interactive series! I love how the book comes to life and it reads the story. I wish there was a month to month option not just a year option. Some times we will be reading a book and the read to me will stop reading and won't continue to the end so there are bugs and this could be a very fun way to learn if some bugs are fixed.

It looks cool and advertises as a free app but when you get into it every book is locked unless you pay 2.99. Also it asked for permission to use camera, which I thought was weird but they had addressed this in another review that I read saying that it was so kids could screenshot and save their favorite parts. I gave permission thinking, that's fine. Until my phone alerted me that the app had accessed my camera. Why would it need to do this? A little creepy if you ask me.

We just downloaded this for my 3 and 6 year olds and so far this is awesome! They are truly enjoying the app.

Nice and easy to navigate. Really helpful to have AT&T when you don't really have a lot of resources. The 6mo that are free are fantastic! A little difficult with the interactive tests in between the reading for the younger ages, but still very good.

BETTER THAN ABC MOUSE AND RED APPLE READING apps. I have two autistic children ages 4 and 7. I've been having a hard time trying to keep my oldest focused for virtual learning. Self guided independent reading is a daily battle This app is AMAZING. The graphics are phenomenal. The versatility of the app is unmatched. 3D storyboards allow kids to be a part of the book as they read. Each book gives you the ability to play games based on the stories, to reinforce comprehension.

i love the idea of this app and my son loves it too,... BUT it freezes badly, i had my phone fully charged and it froze for 30mins while making a horrendous sound, i could not exit the app, i could not turn the sound off and i could not turn the phone off and it killed my battery within the 30 mins. this was a bit scary as i thought the phone would blow up. could you please fix these problems and ill be happh to rate it 5 stars, this could be an amazing app for kids thank you

it's I nice app, my nephew loves it. but most of the time when we open the app, before we can choose a book it seems to be trying to load something with a loading sign that prevents us from doing anything and it takes forever then we literally can't use it. the same thing happens when I tried to subscribe. it loads forever. and I'm using Samsung s8+ which also has alot of storage. please fix this asap

Tried to cancel my subscription, but it wouldn't let me cancel until the annual payment was taken out of my account. Fortunately customer service was very quick with a response and refund. Once my daughter is older and able to appreciate this app better, I will definitely redownload and subscribe. Very fun and interactive.

Edit: After posting my review the developers answered and have seemed to fix the problem. Still runs a bit slow but it is working on my devices. Was amazing, then it stopped working on my son's tablet and won't download on the phone I have. Very disappointed that it is not available

After some issues with the app and purchase, the developer did made some patches and seems that the app is loading faster then before and the purchases made is finally restored. Overall pretty satisfied with the app as it is interesting even for a grown adult to sit and hear the books play out by its own. Keep up the good work and do keep updating the app & books.

I like the concept but the app is natively only in English? That's a deal breaker. I would have preferred diversity. The books themselves are strictly in their language of either English, Spanish, and Chinese. You can't read a book that's natively in Spanish and have it translated to English. So, that sucks. Otherwise, pretty decent.

One of the best AR apps for kids books. Beautiful animations and high quality illustrations, easy to use. Narration voices are very clear, professional and pleasant. I like the map feature - it's really quite interesting exploring it. One suggestion - please make the library browsing a bit larger, I had trouble seeing the small print on the books and the menu on my small phone screen. But overall, very satisfied and my nieces loved it!

Previously i had given 3 stars coz it was just heating problem.. but now giving 1 because alongside the heating problem, I cannot use it offline and have to keep data service/wifi on... this causes load on battery and charge runs out rather quick whereas also makes it difficult to use it underground or inflight where wifi/data services are unavailable...

Free trials should be without bank details. The ad for this app was excellent but the experience was not. Also it would be better to have an option to charge per book (and make them 50p or 50c each) if the reader wants rather than fork out X-amount per month or offer year etc.

Expects you to pay 78$ per year for an app without being able to try it. The only option that works is for you to see how its menu works, and they made a book on it. Also the orientation feature doesn't work well on my Galaxy S20 5G. Edit: Thanks for your reply. Free trial where I still have to start subscription by entering credit card? For a children's app? That doesn't cut it. Too risky. There are already too many reviews where people say you charged even before the trial period, so i don't want to risk that. And the fact that there is no free sample book shows that you don't trust your content enough to show a sample for people to get a taste before starting.

Excellent app and the animated books keep my 5yr old entertained. I believe there was an option to subscribe for 3 months at the beginning when I first downloaded the app..but I dont see this option snymore.. one year subscription is my only option.

For 130$ for a lifetime membership, I like how many book options there are and the quality of the AR feature.. and that's about it. For this price you only get 1 children's profile. I have 4 children of reading age and I can only pick one age for the profile. Also, I do not like that it cannot be used by all of my children at the same time on multiple devices, crashes. I expect to be able to add multiple profiles to get more bang for my buck. I will not pay for individual subscriptions for each.

This app did not work. I tried to cancel before trial period was up but obviously was not successful. I would have never paid 80 a year for something that doesn't work. This app is rigged to take your money and make it very hard to cancel and contact the creators.

I wanted to love this app but It keeps freezing D; I think it would be really neat if I could get it to work. I have no issue with my kids reading on a device because they use them anyway and should use them for good reasons and reading is wonderful <3 Its not like using this app to read and see the book come to life is going to ruin their reading of real physical books and their imagination. I think it would just expand it!! I only let my kids use devices for educational reasons and reading is.

This is absolutely amazing! Very well organized. Great choice in books and the graphics and the detail in bringing the book to life was so impressive and keeps the child engaged in story time. Love this app. You can tell this app was put together with great care and high standard. Highly recommend.

Great but crashes My 5 yr old loved the 3D books and games. Unfortunately the app kept freezing and would kick us off. I would five it 5 starts and renew my subscription. Love the graphics. Just didn't work well, at least on my laptop.
