Bookmate — reload your reading

The option to switch between the languages during search has been inconveniently moved to personal settings!! The earlier visuals of the library and its search were much more user friendly and easy to access. This now is a pain and bother to people who speak several languages and like to read in all of them. The app has always been a bit primitive and underdeveloped and this update is an additional and huge step back.

Decent app, but i would add possibility to change text and background colors beyond 3 existing options. And few more fonts.

this app is rad !! i love it but i wish it had more features like searching words. but other than that its a really comfortable layout ♡

Very bad user experience and huge lack of content. The only reason why I'm using the app is the free subscription plan provided by the telecom, but I'll cancel it soon

Awesome! Clean & simple UI, UX is great. It's really handy that I'm able to upload my books and not just browse the catalog.

Would be good to have an ability to create "shortcuts" for specific books directly on home screen.

Must have for all book readers. Some more features needed. App interface in Indian languages pls.

It would be very nice to customize the new flipping pages animation and have the ability to turn it off in options since it makes reading a book laggy and uncomfortable. This shouldn't be an issue, both litres and free reading apps have no problem with this. Canceled my subscription today, will restore it later and change the rating if the issue is resolved. UPD: Issue resolved with the latest update. Thank you!

Terrible searching options. The app doesn't have the option to search books by the language. Most of the books are in turkish. There is no filtering option. Can't find a single good book. Even if you change the language of the app it shows you all the books in different languages not the one you chose.

Enjoying so much. Deserves much more. More support and ratings. Soothing narration.

I couldn't find a book I needed, although it appeared and seemed to be there in the library, so I see how confusing it is! and after that I even couldn't delete my account because I saw "access denied"!!! Even though I definitely used a correct password, also if it wasn't correct why doesn't the app use double check for passwords in case to avoid typing a wrong password while registering?! Annoying experience!

Very sticky scrolling when reading, which can be annoying. When switching to page by page mode, the change of pages is way too sudden. I would have preferred there to be page flipping animation. Otherwise great app that has the best fonts for reading. Kazimir goes into my personal favourites.

When I slide book list fast, images from previous books appear in new book cards. There should be text while new images is loading, not images from previous books. For developers - you probably use setHasStableIds(true) on RecyclerViewAdapter. Remove it.

Not a great app. Some books are incomplete and it's impossible to reach the support. Technical issues as well.

This is the best app I have ever seen. Has attention to every detail, easy to use, incredible amount of books it just amazing.

Developers thank you for this app it works really well and I don't mind spending money for this app but when I tried to unsubscribe from payments because I'm not using it as often as before, there's an issue. I don't see this app on my subscription list and it's been almost about a year of unnecessary money withdrawal. Pls help.

What has happened with the access to the books in English? Has the business been impacted by the sanctions? Books are simply unavailable anymore.

I cancelled automatic payments, because I want to check every month if I really need this subscription, but it seems like it doesn't mean anything — I was charged automatically today. And yes, I wanted to prolongate subscription, but I wanted another type of it, so I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed. Also it have some bugs in app (3⭐, ok), but this payment thing is just... It's not even 1⭐

I used a promo-code to get a free month and it didn't work but as a result the app had all the necessary data to charge me the next month. I didn't realise that I had an auto-renewal of a subscription on. On one hand, I made a mistake, but on another, it is a common practice to return fees in such cases. It would be really great if you could look into that, because the app is great and I would be really glad to use it in the future when I'm not that poor. Thanks

I will give 5 stars if there is an offline dictionary/translator feature. What's the point of being able to read ebooks offline if the translator can't go offline either? Lol. Also, there are other features that are lacking, namely the ability to scroll manually continuously instead of only 1 tap back and forward

Great. Enable to read books without paper form in house. Missing some titles i wish to read but i hope it will be available.

Great app. Enjoy it a lot. The only thing I wish was there is related to audiobooks. Chapters in audiobooks not descriptive and very often do not correspond to actual chapters in the book. No chapter names makes it difficult to navigate throughout audiobooks.

Best subscription-based eReader on the market interface-wise. Nothing comes even close to this app in regards to UX. There are apps that have wider selection of titles but I'm spoiled by this app interface and can't use anything else. Please, devs, don't screw up your great app! And add more books, especially ones that are in English language. Many titles are in the library but are inaccessible, sadly.
