Good idea but needs work. It's a good idea for an app but there are definitely some features it is missing and some things that need fixing. Comments need better formatting capabilities. It would be nice to be able to @people and reply to them that way. Maybe have some sort of Poll option. So people can vote on things like what book to read next, fav character etc. A better way to get to the book information. Because right now you have to scroll all the way up.
I'm using this app to record how many books i read this year. I experienced a very minor glitch so I emailed Mark @ Bookship for assistance & not only received a very quick resolution, but personal emails to keep me informed. Love the app but LOVE the service 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅
Hey app is not opening at first place it gives error "connection to the server was unsuccessful (file:///android_asset/www/index.html) i really wnt to use the app u have reading frnds n we wnt synchronised reading hoping fr help. I already tried reinstalling 2-3 times..
I don't know why but this doesn't seem to open even once. Since the day I installed it i couldn't see it functioning even once as it was showing only grey screen and nothing else. I tried to install it again after sometime but still it keeped on crashing.
Like it so far. Would be good to be able to create a shared bookshelf with other members of your group so you can choose the next read together...
Love the app but as discussed already with mark it needs a calendar for your book club members too see as well for dates to meet up ect.

sloppy. unknown errors appear. These web apps should be banned.

There needs to be an option to make and find open communities to discuss the book instead of just private discussions.

I really like being able to pull up articles and information about the author and book. It's also nice to be able to have a book club even if every member lives in a different place.
I would like to read and join chat groups around the world . I don't have friends who like reading. It would've been nice to the discuss these books with people from other places with the same interest.
I like this app but the reason I wanted to do a book club online is so I could do it with other people I don't know, my friends hate reading and no one will read a book with me and create a book club. I was hoping this app would let me request a book club and have a section for people to look through each book the club submitted so they could join if they wanted to.
There's a serious lag. I'll start typing and have to wait for the app to catch up.

Best app ever! This app is absolutely amazing for book club readings. Being able to digitally highlight not only allows us to mark our pages without actually ruining our books, but let's us react in real time instead of flipping through pages to find things while actually talking. Plus Mark is amazing at responding and resolving issues in a timely manner when something isn't working quite right. Hands down this app was the best thing we have found for our book club readings.
