BooksRun - Sell textbooks

Got my quote and sent in my books, most of which were basically brand new quality. Got an edited quote back, the book I had been quoted the most for was said to have "heavy wear" and they sent a very innocuous photo to prove such and were offering a much reduced amount for it. Very put off by this experience, like another review said feels very "scammy" and I will never use them again. Be warned.

Sent a brand new book, they damaged it. And now want to give me $0 or for me to pay for return shipping. I know the book wasn't damaged during shipping because I sent in multiple books and this one was in the middle of the bunch. Impossible for this one to have been damaged and not the others.

Bologna. Complete rip off.They will say the books they quoted worth the most are counterfeit if they cant find anything wrong with the book itself. I feel like I've been robbed. Stick with the decluttr app or any other one you can find. I had an order quoted at $160 and wound up getting $35.

This app is a scam, I never received payment through PayPal and I shipped the books off days ago. They are not legitimate at all because they conned some free books from me instead of paying. Do not use this app.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Edit: After about two months they got back to me and they gave me a 50% refund which is good. I wanted to cancel my book and so I contacted them but they still won't get back to me after a week which its says 3 to 4 business days and now it's too late to get my money back and I have a book that I dont need that i rented and have to send it back with them taking my money and me gaining absolutely nothing. I did get the right book I wanted but there customer service could be a lot better. It's almost like they didnt get back to me in time on purpose.

Super convenient and easy-to-use! The barcode scanner stays on until you're done scanning ALL of your books. I love that. I made a quick $60 in just 15 minutes. Only 19 of my books were accepted but that's better than nothing. I'll take it! 😁 Update: It took 6 days for them to receive my shipment. After that, it took another 3 days for them to process it. Once processed, I received my payment within 24 hours (although it is said that it can take up to 4 days). Overall, a very pleasant experience. No issues.

I sent in a book that was brand new, NEVER used and they downgraded the quote due to "heavy wear". What a sham. Even the picture they sent did not show any wear. DO NOT give this company your books. Ripoff. Extremely disappointed.

I always have a great experience when I use the books run buy back service. They often give a 7% price incentive through email, and I was able to take advantage of that this time. I also want to say that I shipped my books on the 7th and had a payment in my paypal by the 21st, so a total of 2 weeks. I definitely recommend!

Very happy with the highest buyback prices anywhere, I'm happy knowing I got the very most for my books. It is somewhat slower than some other company's but they communicate and clearly detail every wait time. Also note they are on the east coast so shipping times vary depending on where you live. Overall, I feel safe sending my books and I've always received my money and always more money than 90% if not all other companies. ,♡°♡°♡

I had a great experience with BooksRun! I was definitely worried that i would not receive my book on time, that it would not be in good condition as they say and getting my money would be an issue. BooksRun proved my worries to be wrong. The book was in good condition and i received it earlier than expected. I would definitely recommend BooksRun to everyone!!

Updated 7/27: I did contact you and you did nothing to fix it. You just repeated the same nonsense and ripped me off. Your competetors are better Original post: Do not sell your books to them!!! They will give a quote and once they recieve the books they will change the quote to zero!! Top that off you have to pay to have them shipped back yo you! It is a scam, they are hoping you wont pay the shipping so they can keep your books for free! My books had no marks in them and are in like new shape.

I had a horrible experience with this book selling app. I scanned a book that they said would amount to about 20 dollars. I did the same with another app and they said around $9. So I ended up selling it to bookrun since they gave more. Next thing I know, they told me that its missing the second book and they would give me $0 for it. Even this was supposed to be 2 books, they could have at least given me the difference. I would have settled for 9 or even less. It seemed dishonest and "scammy".

This is the slowest service i have ever used when it comes to selling textbooks. Online it states processing will be 4-5 business days. After packaging and shipping off my book i discover that processing is currently taking normal than usual due to it being a peak season. So im still waiting for my order to be processed...but they are just now getting to orders that were delivered on the 12-13 of january. My book arrived on the 21st. Do the math. Go with a faster service.

I ordered a book that came fairly quickly. However, my schedule changed and I no longer needed the book. So once I received the book, I did not open the box and tried to contact BooksRun for return instructions. I used the chatbot and emailed their support team, but I have not received any response from them. I followed the chatbot instructions on sending returns and included my order# on the label. I received confirmation from FedEx that the book was delivered but haven't received my refund!

If you're in need of books, I highly recommend ordering through BooksRun! They had the books I needed for graduate school all in new condition at a much lower price than other competitors. Trust me on this one you'll love how seamless their service is and I fast they get you your books. I ordered on April 7th at 10 pm and got them on the 11th with free shipping, talk about speedy delivery. Seriously, do yourself this favor and check them out. You won't be disappointed!

This is the first time that I have purchased from BooksRun, and I must say that it was such an exhilarating experience. Additionally, the book I received, came even better than I anticipated, as it was in immaculate condition! (LIKE NEW!!). DO NOT USE! Very disappointed!!! I sent multiple buyback books over the last few months with no problems. Then they said 1 order had 2 counterfeit books(worth $22 together) and they immediately disabled my account. Said they would keep any books that I had sent in and wouldn't pay on them. I had 2 orders worth over $147 already shipped out so they just kept my books and wouldn't pay. Couldn't even get them to reply to 3 mails I sent asking about my 2 other orders. What are the chance they kept my books and sold them? Pretty good I bet.... 11/3/21.- Followed up to their reply to my review and they took 2 days to reply to it. They basically did nothing other than copy and paste a standard reply. Again, DO NOT USE. Just be book smart and run....

Out of all my textbooks I got an offer on 1 for $30, I knew that would be my best offer so I accepted & shipped my book. BEWARE if you need to extend passed their 5 day shipping, they'll dock your offer. Because I used a drop-off box, they're claiming I didn't ship my book on time & now I'm only getting offered $22. I would cancel it at this point but I can't because USPS already has it. This is the first & last time I'll be using this app *No resolution has been made, I was just told to wait

Disappointing, this app was easy to install and start using. After scanning several of my books I concluded that I didn't not have what they want to buy. I tried cooking, design, art, business and travel; I still am not sure what they are looking to buy.

Great way to earn extra cash fast and no hassle. Could get more selling direct but less headaches this way.

This company makes it seem like they'll pay you the most for your textbook but they find the smallest details and lower their prices when selling once they've received your books. In order to get your books back, they require a very high price for shipping. Do not recommend.

This business is a scam. I sent them my textbook and then they sent me an email saying it was water damaged and they would only pay me less than half of the original qoute. The picture they sent me as proof showed a book that had absolutely no water damage. If you dont accept the new quote, then they will just charge you $9 to ship it back. Either way, they will rip you off. You can find many other reviews with similar experiences like me. Truly disappointing and they deserve 0 stars.

DO NOT use this service to sell your text books. I sent in almost $300 in quoted books (around $1000 retail). They claimed 2 of my books were possible counterfeit and would not return them, in which were not at all counterfeit. The other books checked out & were fine by them. They disabled my account and stated that my funds from my other books would not be released to me, nor would be returned to me. This is THEFT in my opinion. They can claim anything & keep your books and your funds quoted.

I've tried over 100 different books and out of all of them they we wanted to give me .30 cents for it and the other book buy placed offered 50 to 60 for it and it's on Amazon for 132 dollars. So I'm deleting what a waste of my time.

Had a wonderful experience with BooksRun. My first order went quick, my second, the USPS has had it in transit for a month and BooksRun took care of me!

I decided to send some of my old books in. Was a bit nervous about the whole thing so I gave them a call. What an excellent customer service! They got some mad skills gotta tell you that! Told me every possible detail about my order and reassured me about the shipment. Very polite and compassionate. I almost shed a tear of joy. I received my payment just in a few days. Incomparable to other buyback companies. What an experience! Legit business. Will send them more no doubt. God bless you all!

Extremely easy to sell books, while I typically a ignore reviews. Half Price would only buy my books for 8 dollars but BookRun bought them for 44, that is a massive change
