The app has been tested on a Samsung Galaxy S1, which is powerful enough to run the BoomBox. If the audio is crackling you might not have enough power on your handheld. Realtime audio processing is quite CPU intensive.

I've upgraded my rating from a 4 to a 5. I start at 4 and deduct accordingly. The fifth star reserved for the very best. I've been using this app now for over a year and it has never let me down. I'm able to use it in calaberation with other apps and I've never experienced any lag.....EVER! Which is rare for this kind of app. It has some nice sounds & a descent selection. I can import other sounds & the app is easy to use. It deserves that fifth star now it has proven to be more than just solid
Good solid drum machine. Other sounds like basses are also available, makes a difference. I've changed my rating to 5. The reason being, I can't find any faults with this drum machine. Trust me, it's as solid as they come. Nelchid
Old version was perfect with me, once updated it, when I press to change the instrument pad it crashes... Is there any update resolving this issue. Regards
my new favorite toy! the onlY thing i miss is to set pattern repeat amount for each pattern in songmode. anything else: boomboom as much as it can :) thanks!!

This app has a beautiful user-freindly interface. Seamless jumping from pattern to pattern to throw in some dope fills whenever. It adds that chaos and energy that only live sets can offer. Ive used this app on 2 songs so far, and plans for future ones .Amens or hiphop beats ALL DAY
For a free drum sequencer this app is one of the best I've found. A few issues I've noticed are that the bpm is not constant, when I try to follow another song or metronome it's quite hard to get it to match for more than 30 seconds. Also, It'd be cool if users could tweak more than just pitch and volume on the individual instruments; adding filters, delays, etc to each instrument would be a great way to give the app way more functionality and content. Besides that, though, the app is great, I've been having a blast! Keep it up!
Great for creating on the move. Needs a song sequencer and effects editor. But what can you expect from a free app. Good raw punchy sounds. More cojones then other leading apps.
I make music myself and with this I can make my own beats, I love it, I'll be sure to note into the description on YouTube that I used this for the beat, thanks a lot for this awesome app!! :D
Awesome app for and on top and bottom line is that you are doing good and bad for me to get the best way for me and I am a very good at all the time to do this for a while ago and I am going on with my family in the future I will send you an idea.
metronome is incorrect rendering it useless to use with any other DAW. sometimes i can get it rite like if tempo is 136 bpm on gstomper or any audio editor then boombox has to be at like 134 bpm lame
It's basic, but it's fun to make samples while on the go, then add them to actual songs.

I love this app. I use it daily. I plug it into my p.a. & have an instant drummer, that can keep time, to jam with. I can play around with new beats whenever i'm bored. It works great, no ads or other bs. This developer deserves a standing O.
Can't wait to create something amazing so I'm looking forward to seeing what kinda beat it will make awesome.
Some of the sounds are nice, but there weren't very many. You cannot save your work. It would have been nice if they had mentioned that in the "read more" section. I understand that, it being free, you can't expect to get much but what good is an app like this when you can't save or export the music that you make? it's stupid. I'm getting pretty tired of developers putting these apps up, not putting "demo" in the title, and wasting my time.

Used it (in church of all places!) for a simple four-on-the-floor drum loop while accompanying kid's choir on a Yamaha synth. Nice app! Pretty good samples too. Intuitive and simple to use. Kept everyone in sync.
GUI needs a complete rework A commendable effort but the graphics render the app unuseable for the most part. Èxtremely clumsy and I kept finding myself hunting for any kind of ""advanced"" user settings to at least try to refine the graphics. Instead, the settings menu looks like it was designed by Playskool or Fisher Price. If you want a decent beat box, give ""Caustic"" a try. It's in the Play Store.
