Videos are black. Only audio plays. sent messages only to be told to use other devices. I DON'T HAVE OTHER DEVICES. Only phone. No home wifi where I live. $30 for something I can't watch. After today's update, I finally have video but now videos are not even close to being full screen. UNSUBSCRIBED and won't be renewing. I'm tired of paying $30 for something that is totally unwatchable. I'm done.
No video just audio. I can get video and audio on my phone, but when I connect my android phone to Samsung dex on my monitor to watch on a bigger screen there's NO PICTURE when I play an episode of anything! Just audio. I have the S10+ and everything is updated. There's no excuse for NO VIDEO when you make ppl pay for this. Fix it!
Its OK but the cartoons for Garfield and Friends is primarily the reason I watch Boomerang app. I have written several times about missing seasons/episodes/movies regarding this cartoon series. Instead of fixing the problem, Boomerang has taken out even more episodes of my favorite cartoon. I do not know why, if it was a mistake or not, but I am hoping they fix this issue.
First off I love this app for all my childhood shows and animated movies BUT the screen keeps shrinking down after 30 seconds of watching and instead of having a full screen every thing gets shrunken down and is this very thin strip down my phone screen which takes away the fun of watching. At first I let it slide but been a month of this issue and this is one glitch I would very well like to see fixed if at all possible cause truthfully this takes away the value of having this app....
I'm constantly watching Scooby-Doo on Boomerang, its my go-to streaming service. Unfortunately, the black screen problem and just audio problem has returned and as other have said, the screen looks like someone shrank it, but only horizontally so it's just a tall version of the show. Hope this fixes soon.
The videos shrink when you play them and I have to keep exiting the video and re select it to fix it and its temporary and seems to do it on every video. Use to be a good app, now I don't recommend purchasing. Seems others are having similar issues too. Thank goodness I didn't pay for the year..
This rating is for the Android TV app since there's no way to give feedback for it. Why do you have "ALL SHOWS" & "ALL PLAYLISTS" hidden all the way to the right of their tabs??? Why don't you have a dedicated ALL SHOWS tab or ALL PLAYLISTS tab on the left side with the rest of the tabs??? You have it on the phone/tablet app but not ton the Android TV app. And you have a ton of space to add it. 💡
Best classic cartoon app EVER!!! I'm able to watch all my favorite Hanna-Barbera, MGM, and Warner Bros. cartoons all in one place! But there's one problem I'm having. Almost every time I want to watch a cartoon, the screen keeps shrinking.
This app is a great idea and it allows all types of classic cartoons from the beginning to nearly now. I enjoy being able to go to the app and just watch any episodes of any shows.
EDIT: The app has been fixed for Android 12 now, although the videos randomly become squished (narrowed) now. Exiting the app and restarting it fixes it for a few minutes, but then it becomes squished again
Don't even bother wasting your time, I have audio issues when streaming them but most times during a download it'll say out of nowhere an error has occurred, but that's the only way I can watch the show the right way with no issues, AND THEY EXPECTED ME TO PAY FOR THIS!!!?!?!!!????!!?! Very disappointing that one of the greatest cartoon channel made a very terrible app Once again *"DONT EVEN TRY"*
I used to love this app, but now it's trash. I paid to renew my subscription but it's not allowing me to view the videos, so I paid again to renew my subscription, now the videos don't play. So I uninstalled then reinstalled the app, now it canceled my subscription. So I'm going to dispute the charges with my bank, and just get rid of this app. And fyi..their customer service team is nonexistent.
Apparently my review was deleted! I am beyond angry with this service I have a subscription that is bought and paid for and cleared yet do not have access to paid content. I have repeatedly for over two weeks tried contacting the company with no response and no resolution. Very disappointed I have had this service for nearly 3 years and no problems until now.
This app is ok, but the user interface contest to be terrible, it's difficult if say u want to watch a series in the order the episodes come out, u have to try and manually select them, and if u have kids that Wana use, it good luck on that, wish they would make it easier to use like how all other streeming services interfaces are, if they just improved this it b 5 star app, but ok app otherwise
Update: the last update fixed it and It's working now My son uses this app on my phone. Worked fine for over a year. Now, after the update in November, it only gives a blank screen with sound and no picture. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't work
Really broken. Videos switch size to a narrow window. Please fix this, if I restart the video it sometimes works but 90% of the time it breaks again. I pay for this service and this is really unacceptable.
This is a really bad app. They take your money then suspend your account and try to get you to pay for a year of the subscription and there is no number to call for help. Everything is through texting. Im just not happy with the service and want to cancel.
This app used to be great. I loved being able to watch all the cartoons I grew up on. Now that I have a daughter, I wanted her to watch them too. Unfortunately, something happened, and now there's no visual when trying to watch something. Just a black screen with audio. I've contacted support, but nothing was done, and I'm running the most current Android update. Will gladly change my rating if things are fixed.
I used to LOVE this app and even pre-ordered it before it was released, but this last update in November is TRASH! If you file a complaint, they just ask you for your phone and app version info. And that's it. No fixing of yhe problem. Just delete and re-download the app. Thousands of people are having the SAME issue with the new version. They need to reimburse people and put the old version back up until they can fix the issues and relaunch.
I love that the app has so many shows that I watched as a kid. However, the video has been messing up. It is too narrow and when I try and zoom in, it goes right back to narrow. Could someone help me, please?
After facing the same technical issue on my phone and now experiencing technical issues that only happen with boomerang on my roku I have canceled my subscription and deleted the app. Technical support is no help and the problem has been ongoing for months. The auto-reply on playstore says to contact support through the app which I have tried to no avail. I'm tired of wasting money for something that never works.
I want to watch all these old, good cartoons but the app stutters. It's like trying to get somewhere but your car is running out of gas. It's distracting and I can't enjoy the shows. I would gladly pay for an annual subscription if it weren't for directing, stuttering playback. If developers write back to visit their help page, no. Just fix it. I come to watch this app when I want to relax. I don't want to get irritated by helping developer troubleshoot a problem that I have never experienced with another video service.
Just downloaded this app and signed up for the service and so far I am really loving what I'm seeing! Everything is nice and attractive to the eye and the selection of cartoons to watch is practically endless. For 4.99 monthly you can't really go wrong!! HOWEVER! I did run into an issue that I thought would go away. I boot up the app and the "Home" never loads, no matter how many times I press the "Try again" button. Can this be fixed? I use a Galaxy S8 by the way.
The app is ok, at the time I was using it, I only wish they had a slightly wider selection. The issue I had was attempting to cancel my membership. You can continue or reaquire your memebership through the app no problem, but if you want to cancel you have to jump through hoops. It directs you to a site (w/o link) which then sends you to check your channel subscriptions on your amazon account. When I went to that page, there was no channel listed to manage. I'm waiting to see if I get charged.
I love this app, but a few months ago the picture ratio changed on the broadcast stream on sling. The characters look short and squat. No matter what picture ratio I choose the stream no longer looks correct. It used to. The app doesn't have that issue, when I use the app the ratio is still correct. I hope boomerang can change the sling stream back to the way it used to be so I can watch the broadcast on a television channel when I see it listed.
Would be nice if the control options weren't basic/nonexistent. No skip intro, no pop up menu to start from the beginning or to easily see more episodes for a show, no ability to create a playlist, no ability to create a watch list, etc. It's all just basic in comparison to better apps. And I hate that I physically have to hold down the back button to rewind something. Is this the 90s or almost 2022? Otherwise, I like the app, because, nostalgia!! Just update your app into the new millennium.
After having this app for a few years with the only complaint being that the search feature is awful, the app completely stopped working. It will play sound, but the video is only black. It's entirely worthless. Edit: So, are you going to fix the app? ... Edit 5: Days are now turning into weeks. I've had one email saying that they're working on it. Since then, not a word.
theres a bunch of different ways to find what you're looking for but not everything shows up depending on how you search. and when you're streaming there is no next episode button. could have better streaming controls. and a skip intro button. it also doesn't consistently save your place on the last episode you watched. hopefully more variety is coming. doesnt have all episodes of shows. less than half of each of the scooby doo series.
A treasure grove of cartoons but the app is frustrating. No auto play and every time you do a search and scroll through the results it sends you all the way back to the search bar page making you have to go through everything twice. Happens every time and is really annoying. Also, no way to make play lists except for premade ones that nobody wants to watch, so not a good electronic babysitter. Would give it five stars if it could fix the bugs, get an autoplay or playlist creation feature.
Video plays perfectly for a few seconds, then shrinks to a super narrow format. I have to exit the video, then re-select. It only fixes the problem temporarily, then its right back to a squashed window view. I'll gladly change my rating if this bug is fixed, because everything else is spot on! Its just this bug makes it unwatchable.
