I've been able to order from places not actively open. This resulted in me never getting my item and simply burning money. Thankfully they were always small orders. Most the time this app works just fine. It always has some lag, but it's doable.
Great option to order ahead on campus and define a time to pick up. Intuitive UI and the right amount of information on screen - neither information overload nor overly simplistic.
Its a pretty simple and straight forward to use, and I like it when it works; however, recently the app crashes whenever I try to apply a transfer meal using my University card to pay for meals.
The app seems to work fine. But any time I want to actually use it, some of the food outlets that have big Boost signs on display aren't listed on the app. Most or all of the limited remaining offerings have a banner overlay that says, " Mobile ordering unavailable." I don't understand why the food outlets advertise an outlet they cannot or will not service.
Great app, works perfect. Just order ahead and skip waiting in line!
Intuitive, user-friendly, convenient and clear!
App says it must be updated but there is no update available, as a computer science major it's insane to see an app function as poorly as this one
Easy to use and very convenient way to place my orders... recommended!
The app keeps crashing upon opening and gets stuck at the email verification screen without sending an email. When I skip it the ordering menu is totally blank.
Worked fine until the menus stopped loading. It just says try again another time every time I try to order. App isn't usable anymore. Disappointing experience
Says to update app and won't open it. Bit there is nothing to update in the app store.
It worked fine for the first few times. Later on, I had this incident where I tried placing an order; it didn't go through; I tried again; this time it worked. I noticed that my card was charged twice. The customer service executive declined the refund request even after providing screenshots of my card statement. It shows that the app has issues, but they aren't willing to correct themselves. Uninstalled.
I have had some orders where the restaurant tells me that they didn't receive my order at all. Very inconvenient to have to wait after that when supposedly it's "ready for pickup". Even more annoying is the fact that this app just opens automatically sometimes when I'm doing COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS! Sometimes, I'll simply unlock my phone (when I haven't even used boost for days) and I will see the Boost splash screen. Why on Earth is it loading up the app for no reason?! Feels very intrusive
basically if you don't have a certain type of phone you can't use this app, the place that I was fond of now only uses with app to pay. the developers really should optimize their app for every phone instead of the other way around.
At first I left a 1 star review, but I changed my mind, hear me out. There is a difference between Boost's service and the restaurants themselves. I left a 1 star rating because when I had people over the Cooks made the orders 20 min. early so the food was cold when we got it. IT'S NOT BOOST'S FAULT. The resturaunt is at fault. When I realized this, I changed my review to 5 STARS. Look at each review and take note as to weather it's about the resturaunt or the app. Most revs. are about the Cook
Works alright, however the app says it needs to update yet I can't update it on here, so now I can't access it
My university switched from Tapingo to Boost & it was a mistake. Boost charges a convenience fee for using the app (which isn't written anywhere), while Tapingo never did. Besides that, Boost doesn't have the entire menu as they seem to claim -- they're missing about 1/3 of the menu from each of the restaurant choices. Also, as I found out yesterday (the 1st time I ever ordered through Boost), even if you select your food to be picked up at a future time, they make it right away & leave it there
It's OK, very basic. It would be great if they made sure to update menus and if there was an option to add notes about the order preparation. Also a dozen of notification emails with every order is so frustrating... transaction summary is ok, but everything else is fine as app notification.
The app used to work for me but it suddenly stopped. It crashes all of the time when I start it up now and I can't use it anymore.
Boost is not the best but, it's not the worst. Sometimes the app dosen't send the order to the place. I end up sitting there waiting alot and then telling the employee what my order was. Sometimes it works and saves me alot of time during my short breaks. Also great if you don't like the Tim's lines at Humber North. Please fix the order sending... quite annoying.
Theres no way to contact support. The support desk tab is just a link to download the app. makes no sense
It used to work but now won't let me log in. I don't understand what's happening and I don't know if anyone else is having similar issues.
For those checking here with their app not working. Uninstalling and reinstalling fixes the issue.
Terrible app of false hope. I'm writing this as I'm waiting in line to order food because this app doesn't work. First I couldn't log in no matter how many times I reset my password. When I used a new email, I got it to work once. Now every time I open it it just says "Unfortunately, Boost has stopped working" a second after it opens. I'm reporting this to my university because I don't know why they partnered with this company.
Not all available items are in the app in addition to being unable to do basic add-ons(for example I couldn't add extra pickles to the triple-o burger though the app), there isn't an expected time for when orders will be ready once you order, the people working some of the places don't actually check if there's a boost order so you still have to remind them about the order. It's only sometimes a benefit to order via app. A bit disappointed, hopefully for year 2 training it'll be better.
