Q: Is my device supported?A: Your device must be rooted to install a boot animation. Some manufacturers, like Samsung, use a different boot animation format (QMG) which is not compatible with this app. You do not need root access if you are running a ROM with the CyanogenMod theme engine.
Q: The boot animation doesn’t play. How can I fix this?A: Some Android devices use different install locations. You should find your current boot animation location and change it in the app’s preferences.
Q: How do I restore my original boot animation?A: The app will backup boot animations by default. If you want to restore your original boot animation, click on the “Backups” menu item, select your animation, and click “Restore”. Before installing a boot animation you should backup your ROM in recovery.

Hello. This app is very cool, especially on Android 4.4.4. I put a loading animation and yes! It worked! (for those who do not understand, root rights are needed). On Android 10.0, it refused to change the download animation. I don't know why, but this app deserves 5 stars. Thank you.
Use with extreme caution, or avoid completely. Any small mistake could lead to boot loops, unpredictable behavior, and/or an inability to boot into recovery mode. This can be very difficult to fix on most devices. Does work as advertised, though.
Doesn't ask for root permission and shows an error occurred message when I try to backup current bootanimation. Worst app created unfortunately stopped working error message repeatedly which finally made me to reinstall the whole rom and took hours together to get back. And more over it didn't properly installed the bootanimation so that error happened and there is no way going back because it didn't even created a backup of stock bootanimation.
It looks neat and it seems simple, but like almost everything Android, it doesn't work for me. No, I'm not trying this setting or rebooting this or that. Make an app that works within the first three attempts, including good instructions for install. I'm really surprised that Android has such a bad software support plan that lets so much kunk through.
Pretty good repository and installer for boot animations, however not much in the way of sorting makes it pretty hard to find ones to match your device if it's either an oddball resolution or if you simply want a landscape one for a tablet.
I'm using a Zenfone 3, and it's working every time I use it. I flashed some custom rooms and stock, and this is my go to application to change my boring boot animation to the Zenfone 4 (2017) animation (not the animations in the app itself). I only use 1 boot animation though, so I can't speak for everybody else's experience.
App performs and does as advertised, only problem i have is i paid for premium version first for $1.99 and nothing changed, then i clicked on the No Ads option and paid Another $1.99 and the ads are still showing and i never received the premium package. Please refund my money....
Amazing app. I am impressed with all your work. This app is straight awesome. It works absolutely perfect on my oneplus 6t. Have you ever thought of doing app thats a seamless font changer. I know of a few apps that say theyre capable but only root essentials actually ever really accomplished it. Anyway, thanks again.
Excellent app and that's good because no other app (tried quite a few) comes close to the ease of use and quality. My only complaint is using a Samsung but with GSI's improving rapidly could get away now as a daily)... anyway good job. Worked on 8.1 and 9.0
Is there supposed to be some warning regarding compatibility issues with end users hardware prior to downloading? Dummy me ,did not Realize that the program was designed for root. Downloaded it ,rebooted my phone and have as yet to be able to see my display since. Never warned like in other programs (IN BOLD RED FONT) that Software is Incomparable with my hardware config like in other programs. I've tried rebooting into safe mode which hasn't worked and had to buy a new phone. FYI...
Love this app, i wish there werw easier imstructions on how to install the directery file.

I have a Moto X Pure, and am not sure if it's possible to change the bootanimation. The Moto X Pure uses mp4 videos, not gif animations so... Idk. Could an update to add support for video boot animations be done? Please? Thanks!
App hasn't been updated in years and has annoying bugs. Won't install flashable Zips, for example, despite offering that option in the settings.
It does not work for my phone and I can't find the bootanation in media and every time it's replaced the phone plays the original boot animation
A little difficult to use with Samsung, as they like to use qmg format boot screens, but you can change it. I don't dare to, as I'm not sure if it will also disable things like battery_charging_40.qmg. Please email me or comment if it won't, thanks!
UI feels clunky and unintuitive, which would be fine if it worked which, it doesn't. It says that an error occurred, but doesn't give any information at all on what the error was.

Wow........I just found a Magisk Module that will change the bootanimation file type from .qmg to .zip on all Samsung devices. Meaning Samsung owners can no use this app! It's working great on my Galaxy Note 10. Google the Module
terrible! I don't even want to give it one star! I click the video size of screen to start and it just freezes. horrible don't even waste your time on it.
App works fine but it is very dated, seems to have been abandoned while the selection of animations available are poor turning GIFs I to animations or ones people have already made works very well
I was not able to see the boot animation. It was the my system default boot animation again and again. Would rate it 5 If you could solve the issue. I am an big fan of Jrummy apps. My device: Samsung Core prime 4G (SM- G360FY)
Am happy that it works but the animation stops showing for like 3-4 seconds before the home screen appears. Is there a way to achieve a smooth transition? 🤔

Even though Google refused a refund for the premium version purchased, the developer has done so, and he/she should be honoured and respected for doing this. Boot Animations has worked well for me through 3 phones until my most recent phone, Realme 6 Pro.
This app is great! I changed my boot animation to a Nexus! But, please be very careful when using this app. I couldn't boot to recovery once when I did this. I had to reflash TWRP. Use extreme caution, but otherwise, this is one of the best SU apps!
All attempts to download 3 different animations hung. Uninstalled. Have used it years ago successfully but this version seems broken. Avoid.
