Boot Box does NOT support Samsung devices that are running a TouchWiz ROM with a boot animation in the .QMG format. You may solve this issue by flashing a custom ROM that supports ZIP based animations, or by installing a mod at your own discretion: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1897969
HTC devices must have S-OFF.
Some GIF previews may not be scaled properly, this is a common issue present when the animation has frames that conform to a 1:1 aspect ratio. Thank you for all of your feedback.
Please consider emailing me before leaving a negative review, Boot Box is a work in progress and is only currently available to showcase an idea, enrichment via the addition of animations will occur slowly as contributions are submitted. Don't forget that the features of Boot Box are free to use!
What is Boot Box?
The Boot Box Project is a community project that aims to produce a large database of easily accessible boot animations. What makes the Boot Box Project powerful is your ability to contribute, users may submit their boot animations directly from the Boot Box app.
Some Boot Box Features
-Dynamic Database. Animations are fetched and updated dynamically from a database on the Boot Box server.
-Categories: show/hide certain animation categories.
-Upload your boot animations directly from the Boot Box app.The built-in Boot Box Uploader creates the required resources for you, including the GIF Preview.
-Scrambler: allows you to play a different boot animation at every boot.
-Boot Box Factory: create your own boot animations straight from Boot Box! Creating a static animation will allow you to show your favorite picture on boot up. Creating a Slideshow animation will allow you to display multiple pictures on boot up, each for a set amount of time! (at most, a 10 picture limit is recommended).
-Animations can be previewed via a YouTube video (if the uploader provides a link), via a GIF preview, or via a ZIP preview (the animation is downloaded and played in a simulated environment).
-Animations have a thumbnail that gives you a small idea of the animation before previewing it.
-Local Boot Animation ZIP previewing, installing, and GIF creation (thanks to XDA Developer D4rKn3sSyS).
-Flexible boot animation and cache locations for different devices.
Additional Notes
Boot Box currently supports the following five resolutions: 768x1280, 720x1280, 800x1280, 480x800, 1080x1920. If your device's resolution isn't listed, expect issues, please don't leave negative feedback (Bb is just growing), and use Boot Box at your own discretion (I wouldn't like to hear about a 320x240 phone "exploding," or refusing to boot, after loading an animation with 1080x1920 assets, please!).
Gingerbread support is currently limited. No GIF preview support currently exists under gingerbread.

Because every time I'm working on creating my own animation only to have this stupid thing force close on me just when I'm almost done. This really got me mad because I lose my progress and have to start all over again. Look, I know it's a beta app but at least include a way to save my progress so there's would be no need to start all over due to some stupid bug in the app. Only then I'll give a higher rating. P.S. People; Don't forget about TWRP recovery and a recent Nandroid backup! Or you'll be sorry!!!
The app is great it has awesome animations but the only problem is that scrambler is not working. For now just 3 stars but a little help can improve it.
It cannot fetch any animations, says to check my connection. My connection is fine.
It's says to reboot the system when I do its still the same way as I got it when it's was brand new.

Would not recommend - caused my LG Volt to go into bootloop. Am now going to lose data as well as a Snapchat streak. There is a small selection of boot animations, but it's not great.
Trying to use a local file but the app complains that its not a ZIP file when it actually is.
The utility proves to be dysfunctional on a rooted Galaxy Tab 10.1. The screen becomes occult and the tablet fails to respond to any inputs. A reset must be utilised to return the device to functional status.
One of my favorite boot animation apps tho still a bit clunky. Taylor Swift.
LG G Stylo: library was mediocre (some were good), but small. Could not read user-downloaded or defined zips. Could not properly install library zips. All-around another disappointment.
Love everything,love your boot animations. Best. App. Evr. Nice choices but the scrambler doesen't really change boot animations that much. I know it is a beta version. Loving it. I hope this issue will be fixed. P.S. Suggestion: for the scrambler,please make a short playlist or animations in order.. By the way i love your app. Thanks!
It says it can't connect to my internet, my Internet works fine on other apps though
Can't really say bad or good right now. Turning on the scrambler crashes the app, and adding zip files results in the app telling me that it is not in fact a zip file.
This app saved me an hour of looking through sites for a boot animation, I recommend it to any one on CM, worked perfectly and had about 50 different animations for my phone.
How do I remove animation it nearly destroyed my phone I need to uninstall the animation and I can't figure out how
One time I selected a catogry that had no things in it. It couldn't find any results, so it told me to check my filters. But it was so busy giving me errors, I couldn't change the filters! I had to reinstall the app.
Craps out on retrieving files and changing option on 6.0.1 marshmallow Android for Nexus 6 P phone.

Very few animations to choose from. But the app is beautiful! Good job on that.
My vodafone smart 4 turbo has got the watch dogs boot animation and my phone wont boot propaly i have wiped and cleared the cache but it will not boot it will just do the animation and keep restarting and restarting please help as i have to use this crappy samsung please help!!!!!
It changed the graphic the first time. But since then I can't change the change!
Things I liked :- 1. Extra features. 2. It's free. 3. Can see preview and other things. One Word - Good App than others.
I will improve my rating if the capability to create boot animation directly from an existing gif is added. Currently I have to break down a gif into individual images and add them one by one to the boot animation creator. Plus the maximum fps is 1 which results in less than impressive booting experience.
