App keeps disconnecting from kiox. Literally disconnects from the kiox if and whenever I stop to take a break and I constantly havr to keep reconnecting the app to the bike. It worked ok before. This is something that's happening past month or two. Edit: I've done the reset and app reinstall few days ago, it fixed the issue.

Great interface for bike....poor map routing. The built-in routing seems to make assumptions about legality in certain areas. Living in North America (U.S) and riding a Class 3 Gazelle, the routing algorithm completely excludes bike trails when I attempt to create a route. There are numerous bike trails in my area which are purposely excluded. Google maps has no issue using bike trails as an example. Developers: PLEASE update to provide region specific allowances for routings.

Since doing software update on my nyon (old style) I've been unable to record activities and can't access the bosch portal. Help please Problem has been solved and now enjoying the app and nyon display. Thank you

Getting much better. Google Fit integration was long overdue, and now arrived. I hope Bosch continue to support this product and the Nyon '21 and not abandon it now they have some new 2022 stuff.

Hopeless. Unbelievable. Update: oh dear! App was connecting to bike. Now tediously erratic as at the beginning. Seems I have to delete all connection info in phone and reconnect from start every time after switching bike off. Update: app nowseems ok. But Bosch motor and system proving extraordinarily unreliable. Bike wonderful when working but expect a nightmare when guarantee expires!.ps. After fix of motor system app's navigation/bluetooth has become exasperatingly erratic AGAIN.

Overall this is a great app. I agree with some of the other reviews that syncing activities can be a little hit or miss, however, the most recent update appears to have resolved this. The activities now sync automatically when you turn the kiox off, so long as your phone is connected via Bluetooth. The navigation feature is great, it was a little bit of a faff to get it installed initially, however, once I remembered to restart (not shut down) my phone after updating the app, it transferred.

The app used to be okay, not great but okay. Then came the "upgrade" which was in fact a serious degradation of already limited functionality. Amongst others, the inability to use miles instead of kilometres is infuriating, as is the loss of zoom when looking at completed trips. The "Newsfeed" is a waste of time and the Open Streetmap base looks primitive when compared with apps like Komoot. Come on Bosch, this could be a great system if you did your research and seriously improved this product.

The navigation doesn't work properly, 2 different routes are constantly blinking on the screen one after the other, can't know which one is the one I set. Sometimes the navigation doesn't even display on the kiox screen, have to unpair and pair the bike with the app all over again to get it working. The app says I have an update available but when I try to update it constantly gives an error message (7) useless app, unfortunately. At least the cube stereo is a great bike.

Works great with my Android One phone and Nyon display unit. Reliably connects, syncs and gives useful data. I don't even need to start the app it runs happily in the background. On the downside I can't share data with my Garmin device, just mapping with Komoot (which I have no use for), basically the entire Bosch system seems to be a walled garden. Also I bought the custom riding modes but there's no real advice on how to use them. Also no eMTB mode. All in all it's a surprisingly good app.

Initially promising but through time and use I find it frustrating to use. For the last three rides it hasn't recorded my route, only the distance and time. It doesn't give you total height climbed, only the high points of your ride (which can be totally wrong) No way of uploading to social media either. This could be a great app but the developers seem to have ran out of skill or ideas to make this app functional and reliable.

- synchronization of rides ridiculously unreliable. won't sync for weeks sometimes. - purchase of lock function finally worked after third attempt. - updating the KIOX was a nightmare. no documentation. after rebooting the phone (!), it finally showed up. guys, really, how long did you invest in this feature? 2 minutes? if it was more, you are clearly incompetent.

Next to useless. Doesn't synch reliably. Had to restart phone last time to get any sync but always takes ages so never sure if it's having a bad day. And then it's still showing battery percentage from previous synch. I finished my ride an hour ago and it still thinks it's in progress. Luckily the Kiox is excellent and the only reason I needed the app was for the lock feature which works ok. I also tried the new nav feature but it was a disaster, I'll probably buy a Garmin

The app in general is basic and lacking functionality. You can connect your boardcomputer, plan a route and see your history and statistics. Strange thing is that you are unable to zoom on the map when reviewing your trip. There is no option to link multiple trips together after they are splitted. The moment you take a break the route will be synced and saves as a trip. But taking a break does not mean that the trip stops. Another problem i found is that when you import a GPX route (which stupidly enough is not possible via the APP) it says that there is no route available and that it cant be imported unless you use the routes the bosch map knows. Alternatively you can use komoot which does not complain about GPX imports. But in that case you run into the issue when you try to start navigating that route the kiox starts to "recalculate route" and just changes the route to the availability from the bosch map information. When using a GPX file i use this because i cannot plot it in the bosch map, so changing the route is not what i need in that case. Keep the navigation working based on the plotted GPX coordinates All in all a lot of work needs to be done on the app before it can be considered really useful.

This app needs to be improved immensely. It hardly ever synchronises after a ride and if it does it inevitably says the route data is missing and/or other data is not available. The Kiox needs to have a function where you can select end of ride and sync with app. Also, within this app you need to be able to end ride and save activity. It could be so much better but as it is this app is next to useless. Stay with Strava/Summit.

Map function is totally useless. It is inflexible and gives you limited options. No stages possible - you either take the entire route that's given, or nothing. It seldom picks a good route, often ignoring quiet back roads in favour of either very busy roads or inaccessible footpaths that either don't allow cycling, can only be accessed by carrying the bike over a fence or are actually private roads with no right of way. Also Bluetooth connectivity is inconsistent.

After a day or two that the bike was not used. App. Didn't record the next ride. Apart from that, I tried to connect it manually as instructed on Kiosk. Still no progress. Than I decided to uninst all the app and re install it again. Than I paired it again and worked. This allready happened 3 times. this happend in the city not urban ride, evereything is fine with Kiosk apart from this problem. Thanks

This is a joke, nothing works properly. Activities go missing, synchronization with the bike does not work properly, routes do not get sent to the bike, integration with komoot does not work properly... Basically everything is buggy. I don't know how much of this is the fault of the app and how much is the fault of the bike device (Nyon in my case), but you can't really use one without the other and although on paper it looks ok, once you start to use it it is a real pain.

Tho. G. Sep 8, 2020

When it works its OK but synchronisation with the kiox works about half the time, and the other half the ride won't appear for ages. Even if I have the kiox next to me, the app will show connected and synced recently but it shoes different battery levels and data. I've written better apps than this as a hobbyist connecting via Bluetooth to little devices.

The navigation does not work. I've been trying to get on the Kiox for three days with no results, even on the app it doesn't work. The app has been updated, but does not work. There is no instruction for use. Bosch unworthy. Those who have developed this are suckers. Can Boch explain how to get the navigation on the app as well as on the Kiox. These engineers are real amateurs. They always answer "We thank you for your feedback .......". Always the same, but do nothing.

Installed twice, can't connect to kiox. Phone sees kiox in BT menu, app can't find it. FAQ were no help. Can improve rating if I can get it to work. - tried. Kiox displays the number (it already did that) , app can't connect. BT is on, phone can see the device, app can't find it. I contacted support, awaiting their answer.

I've been looking forward to the Kiox update! So when it arrived I quickly connected my Kiox (worked fine), updated all firmware (also went smoothly, that's why there are 2 stars). But sadly the only thing that changed is the app quickly draining the battery of my phone while syncing with the Kiox is not working. :-( No data on my daily bike rides while I do exactly what is told in the FAQ. Uninstall for now, maybe try again in the future. 14/6 in response to Bosch's reaction: I am aware of the charge abilities of Kiox, however it's also draining my battery when I am not on my bike ;-) The problem seems to be the app. Also, not syncing any trip data makes the whole thing useless anyway. On a happy sidenote: Kiox itself rules, much nicer than my previous bike with an Intuvia :-)

In principle the app is brilliant, sadly however it's not practical to use regularly. It just consumes far too much battery. The app is in desperate need of efficiency improvements. Plugging in phone to the display is not a good idea in the rain. USB ports are not waterproof.
