I use the Bose Connect App for my Bose Sport Earbuds. When I attempted to connect to them this evening, they weren't able to be seen by the app. I tried un-pairing and re-pairing. That didn't work. I noticed that the Bose Connect app (Google App) had been updated recently, so I decided to uninstall and reinstall the app so it would be a fresh copy of the most recent app. That definitely solved the issue. 👍
For the past month or so the app will not connect to my QC35s (first generation). Frustrating as the app is the only way to change the noise cancelling options. They will connect to my phone just fine and the app will also recognise them, but when you swipe down to connect they won't. App has all permissions. Rebooted, reinstated. Nothing works.
Honestly, I want to love this. I love Bose speakers, but they are terrible smart speakers purely because of this software. Constant connection issues. Weird problems requiring me to factory reset them periodically. Not a hardware issue unless it's an issue with several... Really disappointing. I wish that I hadn't invested in this ecosystem.
Pretty good but needs newer features. Each time I use it I have to shut off all other Bluetooth devices that connect to this app. It will always choose my Bluetooth turntable over any other device. There should be an order of priority for devices. Or it should allow streaming from 2 at same time.
I can't seem to connect to the ear buds through the Bose connect app. When trying to connect the buds are charged and the lights also light up for sometime and switch off. App would afterwards say can't connect. Tried several times with no luck. Through the BT pairing the earbuds connect however the volume is very low even after increasing the phone volume. Something seems to be wrong, connecting via One Plus 9 Pro with the latest OS12 version.
I am no stranger to frustration and disappointment. Considering myself a level headed reasonable individual of sound mind, I generally genuinely keep my wits when all about me disintegrates. This app has introduced me to a whole new level of frustration and disappointment. I literally just wrote a 2k word review which won't fit here...which figures. Whatever. 97 out of 100 times I can't get it to connect. I refuse to believe that Bose can't create an app that actually connects my speakers.
The speaker (Soundlink Micro) connects and plays music fine and the app opens and I can access the settings etc., but the app crashes (just the app) after just a minute or two, the music still plays but the app looses the connection. I've tried reinstalling the app and clearing the cache, all the usual fixes. Edit to add (03-26-22), just installed the update. Same problem. Does anyone at the Bose read these reviews? Offer some suggestions?Moto g6 Android.
App is useless and no longer works. I used to use it, but I noticed some a few months ago that when I open the app, it doesn't show any of my Bose devices. Instead, it tells me to connect devices. I have the devices connected fine through my phone's Bluetooth.
Bose S1 pro... Excellent speakers, terrible app connectivity... I've tried all configurations on master to link to party mode and it's just not working, worked once after reinstalling the app. But has absolutely failed since. Very disappointing that I have a PAIR of PA speakers that are meant to link and can't even perform it without and app, and then the app doesn't even work... Fix this bug please, it is rendering them unusable for performances (which is why I bought them)
3 years+ of software development and this app still crashes for each and every single use session and on any Android phone I've ever used. You should either stop trying to add app functionality and options or go out of business. Bose is on a competency level below the Chinese scam companies. Update: Still worthless after 4 years!!
Since last upgrade my QC 35 II is not visible in the app . Please fix for more stars. :) Maybe it could be due to the name of BT device. I changed it from default, or it could be due to Android 12. Update: After I reinstalled the app it finally started to discover the device. Now I can control it again as before. Although the EQ would be nice to have.
After upgrading my OnePlus 9 Pro to Android 12, this app can no longer detect when headphones are connected. It stays stuck in "Connecting" state forever, while headphones are actually connected and working. This prevents me from being able to manage what devices they are connected to (sometimes I need to manually disconnect the second device).
A bit buggy Had to uninstall and reinstall to get to pair with my headphones, despite no issue connecting the actual Bluetooth audio. When loading now if I wait and it tries to automatically pair with a device, it gets stuck in a loop and has to be closed Would be nice to play in party mode on both Bose and non-Bose (e.g., AV receiver) devices
If you have 2 speakers this app crashes all the time. It take several minutes and at least 4 times to connect. Each speaker when it finally works. Almost a month later I have to ad...As much as I like BOSE soundlink itself I can't stand the app. ALWAYS crashes. Takes 2-5 min to set up 2 speakers.
Impossible to find serial #. I was prompted, in several areas, to download the Bose Connect App. Then I was instructed to go to settings>product info>serial #. None of these were options. I always keep detailed info on the products I purchase. I like nice things but unfortunately people also like to take other peoples nice things. My Quiet Comfort 35 headphones were stolen. Without the serial # I don't have a case. I loved them briefly. I would think Bose would be more thorough. Disappointed.
Completely broken. The latest version of the Android app cannot connect to any Bose headsets at all anymore. Also, still no dark mode support, but forget that: it would be no improvement on a completely unusable app. Sent developer feedback and got no response. Just terrible. Maybe it's best to avoid Bose.
Constantly tries to connect to the previous device instead of what is available. I use the headset across multiple devices throughout the day. It takes way to long to switch since it tries multiple times to connect to the last device I was using them with.
Works occasionally, or if youre stubborn. If you're really into things that run smoothly, this app will frustrate you and the pleasure of having 2 good speakers connected blasting your music in stereo will be consumed by the annoying realisation each and every day that u need to actually schedule 10-15 minutes for hooking up your speakers because this app will fight u for 15brounds and it aint getting tired. What is in the process that is so difficult to achieve connecting speakers?
Downgraded the app from a 3 to a 1. It is absolutely rubbish for connecting to a pair of Bose Micro speakers. Endlessly having to reset the speakers and it just keeps going around in circles connecting, disconnecting and asking to start over. Over half an hour of fiddling and it's still not working.
Since 3/31/22 update, app no longer connects to QuietComfort 35 headphones. All trouble shooting steps have been followed, and headphones work fine with paired devices, but without the app I can no longer change noise cancellation settings on headphones which makes them unusable for my use case. Unacceptable.
the app seems to work just fine although I think it's missing one thing in equalizer even though most phones have their built in one or tablets. I noticed there was two updates today for the Bose app well not to but just one one for my tablet one for my cell phone and I'm assuming this will fix the connectivity problem where the app or the device doesn't seem to want to connect unless I manually do it so I'm going to test that right now.
The app was great before, but now it refuses to recognize my quietcomfort headset. Apparently others are having the same issue with other bose products. This made me realize I would rather get a different companies product anyway since it relies so heavily on the app to take down noise canceling levels, share audio and such.
I used to love bose. But These bose 45 head phones have got to be one of the most expensive as far as cost, yet cheaply built with very brittle plastic parts. First, the silver pair from I got in 2021. Stopped charging as soon as the warranty was up. And on the last day of the warranty the pivot to the headphones broke. So $350. No stand behind the quality of your product. Just spend more $ on this pricey plastic. Cha ching.. so dissatisfied and disappointing.
Love how this little speaker delivers. I is larger than the mini. It has good bass and volume. Used it outside while doing gardening and I was able to hear to words travel clearly. I can't say how many feets or yards because I am not good with that stuff but I was able to hear it pretty good. Thank you Bose for creating this speaker! I do enjoy it.
No longer works. It used to work fine to change the active noise level but after the 3/31/22 update it no longer sees my headset even though it works fine with my phone. I just want to change the level of noise reduction when using it for phone calls. It used to work fine. I've tried all the troubleshooting tips in the app and on the website. Seems like this should be the easiest part of designing a $350 headset
