When phone is in airplane mode, but bluetooth still on and connected to headphones (playing music), two views of the app remain blank: "Account settings", and "Bluetooth connections". While I don't understand why the later would require any kind of external data access, please at least display some kind of message, don't leave the screen just blank! I initially thought the app was broken. Agreed, better software engineers needed, or at least better testers.

Poor app performance: took me a full day to get my QC Earbuds to connect properly inside the app on my Note 10 and they suddenly just worked after hundreds of tries. Worked perfectly from the first time on iOS for comparison. The controls given for the QC Earbuds are also poor. I want the ability to change any and all touch controls! 1 star because this is an app to accompany a 280 Euros product. I expect nothing but a flawless experience.

I think it's a good app, could use some improvements but it works! I connect my Bose 700 to my computer and my cellphone (windows 11 and Android 12) and my headphones switches easily between them. I had to restart the app maybe once or twice for it to connect again to my headphones, not the end of the world. The favorites settings is ok and there's a basic equalizer !

Overall the 2022 updates with more integration with Chromecast broke a good thing. Frustrating to use. The app is not "smart" and gets confused. You will spend the majority if your time messing with just getting the speakers to play or continue playing. When you do the audio is great. At it's best the experience is just ok. If you get your jollies with making apps work then this is your thing.

I'm not happy with the update of Oct.5th. I think it significantly reduced the noice cancelling option which was the only reason I bought them. I wanted to use them on the airplane and block voices along with the airplane noise. These not any better than the Bose wired for $100 more. So how I can cancel that update so they work like they used to? The app is completely worthless. It won't connect to the earbuds so I have no control of the options. I have to use my phone's volume to adjust it.

I use the NC700s. They've worked great until the past few months, where it's constant problems every time I want to use them. 500 characters isn't enough to list all the issues. Have to cycle power at least once once turned on, they often make an awful buzzing noise and restart themselves nearly every time they're used.

I have the quiet comfort earbuds and it's always a disaster switching from my computer to my phone. I don't know why you can't select source from the app when it's connected to something other than the phone. Each time it needs to re-pair like it'd brand new out of the box and it takes like 5 minutes cause the app always loses connection with the headphones.

The app is so slow to recognize its own devices. These are pretty expensive sound systems no excuse why the app is so bad. The techs stayed a extra hour to connect when it took 5 mins to install the speakers. It has nothing to do with the wifi connection. Please do better. The sound is incredible.

What a breath of fresh air! I had a pair of Jaybird Vista 2 for two months, it's absolutely horrendous. Their app looks nice visually, but that's about it, it doesn't work 90% of the time. While going through their warranty, I decided to buy a pair of the Bose sportbuds to use at the gym in the mean time. The pairing was so intuitive that I didn't even need to look at the instructions. I paired it once and it just works as expected. Simple and easy. This is the definition of a good UX.

Initially it was fiddly to get set up, but once done seems to work OK. One big disappointment is the lack of identifying the song playing, instead (where a title should be) it simply displays "Not Provided". As the music app actually playing the song can display the title, surely the Bose app should be able to replicate that. Songs now named after u/d.

Great Buds , noise cancelling function is first class , also love the option to turn off the noise cancelling function. Sound quality is top notch. Charging dock holds its charge amazingly, and charges fast. I cannot say enough good things about these buds. App is easy to use . Also side note , I have tiny ears and most buds are too big even with the smaller cushions on . However these fit with the smaller cushions , HIGHLY RECOMMEND. AWESOME 👍

Sound is really superior... when it works. I've had every possible issue with this app. Worst possible user experience. To keep this short, I'm not rich, so it took me three years to buy the setup I wanted for my first ever home cinema. Result: I can't sync my speakers with the app anymore. I tried to fix the issue and ended up making things worse. Now, only the soundbar works. Bye bye subwoofer and tweeters. Nearly 2500$ down the drain, since none of it is still on warantee. Never again, Bose!

Very buggy app. Can pair a device successfully and then the connection is not shown in some instances. Sometimes a device is shown and then it is missing. Wish I didn't need this app but Bose has never released an app for any of their devices that has been very reliable. Then there is the not responsiveness when multiple devices are connected. 90% of my frustrations come from using the associates Bose apps.

App has improved a lot from back in 2020, but still needs some work. NC 700s don't stay fully connected in app. Currently you have to pull down the refresh lever everytime you re-enter the app before adjusting settings, it seems like something you could automate to do in the background when you re-open the app. Some other features like additional advanced equalizer, system controlled dark mode, and customization to hold side to let ambient sound in would make it a 5/5.

The app does what it does well. No problem recognizing my smart speakers and QC earbuds... it was a bit more challenging to add my SoundTouch speakers for SimpleSync, but a little persistence did the trick. I'm disappointed that I can't use SimpleSync for my earbuds, but that's not a deal breaker. There's no way to shuffle Amazon playlists using the app... that would be a welcome enhancement. Sometimes the app won't show (or shows incorrectly) the speakers that are grouped. In every instance so far, closing and restarting the app corrects that. The app does an excellent job of controlling my smart speakers and an okay job of controlling my streaming music, but I have to use a bluetooth connection and the Amazon music app when I when I need more control.

3rs Feb 2022 -Product activation failed again!! App was working fine. My soundbar has now disappeared. Attempted to reconnect and now get the above. Re-installed app, rebooted phone and router, disabled firewall on the router, without joy. Searches suggest a factory reset. My concern with this is, if I do, it won't reconnect and and i lose my existing connections to surround speakers. Gave one star because zero is not an option. Full factory reset worked. 2nd time I've had to do this.

Awful app awful product - I have the Bose QC Earbuds sport and despite infinite amounts of troubleshooting, the music still drops every 10 seconds, there's a clicking noise and the noise canceling switches itself on and off constantly. As Bose customer service has decided not to respond to me, I'm posting it here instead. Do not buy this company's terrible products.

RESTART YOUR PHONE AFTER DOWNLOADING. It was incredibly buggy; not adding my product. After restarting it was still buggy. The "helpful" setup pop-ups were the problem. I could see everything working correctly in the background, but the pop-up was stuck in a circle of connecting the product and couldn't recognize that the product was added.

Mic. Mar 7, 2022

This app is stupid. When trying to switch your connection to a different device it will sometimes just reconnect to the first device you started with to setup your headphones. I want my tablet and phone on the list. But when I switch to tablet I can't even use the features of the app, it will just tell me I need to disconnect from my tablet because I can only have one device connected at once. Sure I can hear audio. But I can't use the eq or change modes.

I work outside in the construction industry, and I have worn just about every earbud you could imagine. This earbud is hands down better in every single category. The sound quality is crystal clear, and the way the functions are set up is completely user friendly. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for great sound quality, and a very user friendly system.

Car. Apr 14, 2022

The idea and UI of the app is very nice. Connectivity and performance is the exact opposite. It constantly loses connection with my headphones. Trying to toggle on and off which devices are connected just freezes the app and connection is lost. Would be so nice if it was reliable.

Zac. C. Mar 18, 2022

New version is extremely annoying. Instead of being able to directly adjust noise cancellation level, this version requires you to set a "mode", adding a needless layer of complication. It also appears that these modes can't be modified or reordered once there are four of them.

mil. t. May 5, 2022

This app is garbage compared to the bose+ app. I do not have any controle over the noise canceling in my headphones first off. And the lack of settings available is insulting plus they don't even work for example I set auto off for 5 mins and my headphones never turn off. The old app was leaps and bounds better and I think I should be able to use both apps

cdp. May 29, 2022

Okay when it works. It's always a struggle to get the headphones connected to the app, and it's a complete nightmare trying to connect when on a flight... which is what I bought them for. Frustrating, given that I paid serious coin for a POS user experience. I should have stuck with my older Bose QC headphones... because... they worked flawlessly. QC700... seriously inferior product chained to a horrid smartphone app.

App always says it can not connect to my soundbar. I've done everything the help section says to fix it, none of it works. Even reset the soundbar with tech on phone. Would be REALLY helpful if I could get into the settings of the app, like what wifi im connected to (I have a smart router that uses 2.5 and 5g) and also whichever one I set it as doesn't seem to matter... Just make the music settings for the speaker assessible another way! I can't customize the sound because of the stupid app

dev. Mar 15, 2022

The QC35 II app was better. After multiple attempts clicking the 'connect' button, rebooting my device and trying to get a better wifi signal, i have come to the conclusion that it has failed to connect to my headphones but my phone connected strait away. So this app is just sitting on my phone but i dont use it because it can't connect to the product for which it was designed to be used with

V 5.2.3: 1. Standby timer only has 20 minutes and Never, so while using just TV or projector speakers CEC will shutdown your TV or Projector. 2. Pandora through the app: unable to undo thumbs up and once a pre-set has been done there is no way to undo it, unless you delete the station. On the screen to select "Save as pre-set" or "Delete" makes you believe you are deleting the preset but it will DELETE the Entire Station. If you have a station you have been putting together for 2+ years 🤬

I cannot emphasize enough how much I despise this app. My LG, my Jabra, my Samsung, my Plantronics, none of my other Bluetooth headsets or apps have any problems ever connecting to my cell phone. They connect every single time the first try always. But this one always takes five plus tries to connect. I want to be clear I absolutely love my Bose earbuds. They are the best, bar none. These Bose earbuds Quite Comfort are the best I've ever had. But this app is the worst ever.
