Boudin Bakery - Order, Rewards

I needed to place an on line to go order and was skeptical based on the vast amount of low reviews. And now I agree with them. I was nearly done with my online order and checked the details of an item. When I pressed the back button to return to the cart, it returned me to the home screen and LOST everything in my cart. In addition, the app is slow. What should have taken 5 minutes or less literally took me 15 minutes.

Never ever works. There is always a validation error every time I try to complete my order. This has been going on for a year! Tried reinstalling, no luck. Update: I can submit an order as long as I do not utilize my free bread reward, which is a huge reason why we like to go there. When I add the monthly free bread reward I get a "validation error" message at checkout. Boo!

Now that the app is working as intended again I can give it five stars, it's pretty straightforward has different areas for pickup online ordering and in-store scanning so it's pretty easy to figure out You can also set your custom store to find it easier which is nice and most of the items on menu have an accompanying picture to help decide what you want to order which can be helpful.

I tried to order but it got stuck in a loop where I would choose options for an item and then the add item button would take me back a menu and I had to re-add the item, which took me to the options again and so on. An app for ordering food that doesn't let you add food to your order, pretty useless in it's current form.

Frustrating, but at least the basic ordering works, so, ⭐⭐. Still broken after months of complaining: reorder button does nothing, and saving a favorite appears to do nothing because there is no place to view favorites!

Downloaded the app. Went through new account setup. Last step is to set up your password. I entered multiple passwords, but every time I click register, nothing happens. Can't even get into the app. Just ordered from their website instead.

It's a buggy app. You have to clock "buy now" even when you want to add more items. Then on the check out screen you have to select Add Items there. Just not intuitive and requires a lot of screen changes if you are placing more than one order

Downloaded and logged in. Every time I tried ordering it wouldn't add my item to the cart. Uninstaller it after trying to order several things off the menu. It also doesn't keep your selection for favorite store. Not worth the download, I could drive to the restaurant and order in the time it took me to download the app and try unsuccessfully to put food in my cart.

Why did they add a splash page that says "we will track your location even if you are not logged in"? Not a permission, more of a warning. Couldn't get past that screen, and not sure I want to. Still love their bread and chowder.

Downloaded a number of times in several locations. When I start app it closes unexpectedly (and messages say as such) every time before I can do anything with it Not a good start at all, had to deinstall as after several installs...result is the same Poor dev control on this one.

Works great for ordering ahead. Unless choosing the Half-Sandwich/Soup Combo. For all the other combos, you make your selections and tap Add Item as it returns you to previous screens until it becomes Add To Basket. Tap again & you're done. But for Soup/Samdwich you need to follow these exacts steps. Choose your sandwich& it's options FIRST, tap Add Item. Then the Soup (& options). But instead of tapping Add Item, tap Buy Now. Tapping Add Item will erase selection. Every. Time. It's a loop.

I really enjoy Boudins, their food. Choice of food, rewards, all great! The app is a different issue, can't order combos, always, ALWAYS get error message, so frustrating usually just don't order. This time ordered from website and it all works fine. Please fix app.

Horrible app and despite frequent feedback errors never change. Can't add combos, always gives errors. Soup of the Day is not available in combo corner, only a la carte. Horrible app and horrible customer service.

Doesn't work at all. Tried creating an account, it kept saying my fax number was too short, even though there was no fax field. Fax??? Really??? Then I tried short cutting that and clicking the Order button, and it gave me a bunch of code errors on the screen. Don't bother.

Love this app. I am able to order a healthy meal when I am on the go. I just swing by and feed my family a healthy meal. It also tracks my rewards.

Boudin Bakery is delicious, but this app is horrible. It takes at least 5 minutes to order a sandwich. I have not eaten here before solely because the app doesn't work well. It is frustrating because you have to click through so many screens to get anything done.

Login bug finally fixed! The app now supports fingerprint login. Still can't order a combo, but at least I can generate check in codes.

The app refuses to open. It crashes instantly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times to no avail.

You can order in just four clicks! Found my favorite Boudin food and didn't have to wait in a line to get it!!! Love Boudin, love this new app! Thanks for the update, really makes getting the best food in SF that much easier!!!

Used to have app and it worked fine. Last time we were at Boudin's I was asked to update my app now it crashes before it even opens. I've uninstalled/reinstalled znd still won't open.

Can't use it. Pixel 4XL App crashes before it even finishes opening 😔. Hope this gets fixed soon.

I'd complain about the inability to store payment information for future orders, but given the elementary overall design of this App, I'm not comfortable with allowing that information.

Used to work but now I can't log in, get an email to reset password or anything. Also can't get free bread anymore. Useless

The app doesn't work. I cannot place a new order, but I can use the "order this again" from my order history when the app did work.

Unable to join. Says email in use. Asked for password reset says no active users with this email. Can't register card, and can't log in.

The only thing I wish they would add is condiment options. I.e. Butter, ketchup, mustard.

Lousy. Will not let me sign in. Requested a password change, just get a server error. Worst app ever. Even worse than Home Depot's.

Got this stupid app and it immediately crashed when I tried to use the damn thing. Stick to making bread instead of lackluster apps.

Used to run great, but as of a couple weeks ago it crashes at startup.

Couldnt even register, filled out the fields and couldnt press "next." No error or explanation.
