Boukili aims to stimulate children to read and help them attain different levels of reading proficiency by exploring the 54-book collection developed by Mini TFO.
Boukili also invites parents in to witness and guide the reading evolution of their children with the help of a dashboard.
In addition to these educational objectives, Mini TFO has chosen to integrate minigames, quizzes, an adorable avatar, and travelling as the underlying theme throughout the experience, in order to facilitate learning and spark the love of reading in children from a very young age.

So I can speak a little bit of French and I love this app we use it in my class all the time and it's so fun you get to customize a little raccoon character and you get to travel all over the world!
You have to swipe down from the top with one finger to get to the parents portal. Not very SMART!!! Try it yourself and you'll see why it doesn't work on an Android device... So, it's impossible to get to the parents portal... USELESS!!! As you will always get your notification's menu when you swipe down from the top... And on top of this, the app keeps crashing!!! Don't bother downloasing this app. Use their website instead...
Children's books by Quebec authors. These books can be read aloud by a recorded voice, or you can record your voice. After completing a book there is a short quiz that helps you understand the book better, everything can be spoken aloud to help train your ear. there are games, but they don't really help teach French, the games renforce ideas from the books. i would like to hear the games speak more French.
It doesn't load after restarting, updating and trying on two separate devices. The website also displays an error message when I tried to fill out and submit a complaint form. When it worked, it was fine. I've attempted to get it to work three different days. Pretty disappointed.
What happened ?! This was the most amazing reading french reading teaching tool in the world, then it suddenly changed about a month ago and now my kids don't even wanna look at it.. I've sent in a message to TFO asking how to get it back, to no avail. It used to have a path you could take through it as it would offer books and kids could try on new costumes from countries etc now it's just a pile of books in a list it seems like they are all ones the kids have read. HELP! I used this as part of my school day for my two kids. nothing even comes close to what this was. Not sure how to rate it...
App doesn't open properly. Upon launching, it gives me a white screen with a small circle with a dot at the center and that's it. It never gets past that screen; please fix!
The games don't work. Items cannot be placed where they're needed. Such a shame.
Want this to work but can't get past the first screen to parent dashboard to sign up. I drag my finger down and nothing opens. Once I can try the app I will upgrade the review
It is a great app but now my child doesn't want to do because there is no game portion any more. Definitely a step back like others said. The enrichment is gone and not very user/kids friendly.
Gets stuck at one stage and does not allow to progress to other flags even after reading books many times over. It is frustrating my daughter.

Before the last update I would have given this app a 5 star but since the update we lost al of our progress and it will not load properly so I have to downgrade to 1 star

Great options to hear and read French. My son loves the games and learns a lot.
Great stories for kids based on their level. The questions at the end are wonderful to test their french knowledge

Every time I try to use this app it closes. It will not let me reset my childs password.
I love this app it's great but I rated it 4 starts because it drained 90% of my battery.
Loved this to read along with my daughter but it hasn't been loading all week. Hope this is resolved soon
Was awesome when it was working. No longer working
The 2021 update is a step back and it doesn't provide an enriching experience. What happened to the narration mode? It's very helpful to hear a native speaker and emulate proper pronunciation. What happened to the underlining and definition of keywords? How could this be viewed as unnecessary? It helps a child to be autonomous and stay curious about reading. Where are the comprehension questions? Lastly, the gamefication is gone. We are very disappointed and longer view this as a standout app.
