Works. But nothing special if you are looking for greater detail beyond averages and general trends. Unfortunately, I can't get V.3.1.0 to connect to Google Fit directly and the app creates and annoying system connect error message on my Android 8.0.0 phone forcing me to restart my phone to get rid of the error message as the app's force stop won't respond. This app could be better. Love the Bowflex M5 though!
What a garbage app for a great trainer. Features stop working because they are outdated. Bowflex won't update the app to fix the problem. But hey now they have a $299 upgrade so you can use the latest app. And the information on the upgrade is ridiculously vague. The messed up thing is I love the machine so much I am probably going to buy the upgrade. I wish the software team was as good as the hardware team.
Doesn't even connect to the machine (M6) I bought 2019 Christmas. So a machine barely over a yr old isn't supported. That's Bull Chit! They will however sell you the $135 per year (maybe more, not sure) "journey" I think it's called, so you can use ur totally misrepresented product. I paid the hundreds of extra dollars to have the smart version, that could sync with my phone. Good machine, bad apps, worse resentation. 1st bad experience I've had w/ Bowflex or Nautilus. Bad Direction for Company
Syncing this app to the Bowflex's control panel was an impossible feat over the years. I've only kept it installed hoping Nautilus would get it together. 😧 Recently, between 3-16-21 and 3-18-21, the app crashed 21+ times before our Bowflex finally died. 😑 It's generated more alerts than any apps I have combined. Since, the M7's main control panel died, rendering it just... a bike. 😶 So, as the company gave up back in 2018, so too, I have no reason to continue with this app &/or the company.
This app is functional and we'll designed but the integration with Google fit has not been updated for the fit update. Currently no move or fit minutes are recorded. Calories burned are grossly underreported as are steps and distance. Nautilus needs to figure out how to better share information with Google so the user gets positive feedback from their workouts.
Bluetooth doesn't connect at all. It worked and then after about 2 years the whole thing just stopped syncing. Avoid like the plague
This application does not properly sync to Google fit and hasn't for many months. This app has been hit and miss for years and hasn't been updates for some time now. It is totally unacceptable for an product application to not properly work for so long. In this day an age your application process can make or break you. My M7 will be the last product I purchase from bowflex. I will be exploring nautilus or peloton for my next workout machine.
Incredibly disappointing that you cannot add data manually. I would save space on your phone and not download. Edit: Knows certain models have Bluetooth features. Has M5. Just it's standard to be able to do things manually. Meh.
The app rarely is able to sync with the max trainer. I usually have to restart my phone. And now it no longer synchs with Google fit even though it did before. And it gives me an error with no way to fix.
The app is showing the year as 2016 but it is 2018?? Nautilus contacted me and it was very easy to correct the date. My information from previous workouts was not able to carry over but i can look at it under the old date if i need to. Thank you for your prompt reply to assist me.
This app is trash. Hasn't been updated since March 2018. Multiple emails promised made by the vendor to fix the Google Fit integration. It's Sept 2020 and isn't fixed. I wish I could give it a zero star.
I too am experiencing problems syncing with Google Fit. When I try to "Connect" with Google Fit, I get an error "Sign-In Failed. Error signing in the specified account. Please choose a different account." But I cannot choose any other account, in fact I don't see any settings where I specified the account to log into.
Useless. Constant connection and syncing issues even after resetting the max trainer, restarting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling app repeatedly. Love the machine, but this app is completely useless
Changed its mind after the first workout, synced the second. Mileage would be nice. Step count and floors would be better. Works like it says, so far.
Poor app! Fails to sync with my machine 95% of the time at least. Contacted Nautilus about it and followed their advice on uninstall/reinstall and still fails. Even reset and wiped all the workouts off my M5 machine and still nothing. :(
A big disappointment is if you buy such an expensive device that the APP can do so little good. I train twice a day and he can only remember one. The device is very good, but the software is very below level.
It seems like Bowflex/Nautilus gave up supporting this application. No updates since 2018 and the app no longer connects to Google fit. I spent a lot of money on my max trainer and with this lack of support, I'll never buy another Bowflex product again.
Please make it a priority to improve the quality of this product and to make it compatible with Google fit So much detail went into producing the equipment it seems a shame to sort of leave it half measure when it comes to app. Almost as if you're counting on the consumer to purchase the more expensive integrated Brought UPS rather than Syncing with their APP
Exports incorrect data into Google fit that is not editable, essentially adding bad data to your journal. While time is added correctly all other stats such as pace, steps, cals are corrupt.
Useless. The expensive machine does not have any instructions for the primitive control panel. The app is totally useless as it cannot connect to the Max Trainer
disconnects constantly. every single time I have to get on this thing it doesn't recognize the device it won't sync anything I have to constantly go over and over again
Can't get my M6 to connect at all. M6 and m8 is not even listed, only 5 and 7. Looks like the app would be great if you could use it. It seems they want people to pay for journey
It's good... But for some reason won't link with Google fit?? On the app there is an option for it but when you select it, it just goes away. Also when in the Google fit app and it shows apps that can connect. The max trainer is not one of them. Kind of disappointed in that but everything else syncs fine with my m7
