It would be great if this app wasn't such a blatant data harvesting system to profit off of your personal information. While these systems have been around a long time, I wish we could just go back to clipping the tops and handing them in instead of having to see my entire receipt with all the other items I've purchased and my payment information.

The app it's supposed to be more user friendly and easier than having to cut out the box tops; however, the app does not work at the big box stores. It only gives credit for one item when at the big box stores when you purchase you are purchasing multiple items. You constantly have to submit missing earning reports. They are good about giving you the credit; however, people are tired of having to keep report missing earnings and just have stopped doing it. The schools are losing money because of

At first I was hesitant, I got use to clipping the little box tops off of my products.... When I first started using the app, I was forgetting to save my receipts, and it was quite frustrating when the app wouldn't pick up the items from my receipt.. But, since I've been using it for a little while now, I've grown quite fond of it. It's very fast and convenient, and easy to use...

I installed this app just so I could write this review, then will promptly uninstall. In games, this ad has a very prominent FALSE "X" (to "close") in the upper right corner that, when tapped, prompts your device to redirect to the app store to install this app. The actual X to close the ad is a very faint X in the upper left corner. Good way to lose support, by misleading and trying to dupe people. Bye.

I would have given this app 5 stars last year. It was easy to scan my receipts and receive the rewards but now, no. It won't pick up the items on the receipt anymore and to make a claim you need to scan the barcode of the item. Even on items that haven't changed for years, like cheerios. Please update the app to catch these items again or got back to the old way of cutting out the tops and sending them in.

The app requires the use of receipts instead of physical items, a huge negative change from the traditional method. With shipt, scan and shop, digital, paperless options this is a major set back for the modern world. A scan icon on products for points would be better and we don't have to scan receipts that for personal privacy we wish not to scan.

I agree with other people in that it scanning the receipt is invasive, time consuming, inaccurate, and takes the students out of the equation. My kids always liked cutting out the Box Tops and saving them. They would always have me buy products that had the Box Tops on them if there was a choice. There are other ways to change if you must. You should rethink this.

Today I scanned several receipts but kept getting a server error. Took me an hour to scann 7 receipts. Not liking the app after using it for a long time. Thought it would get better but seems to get worse. Was easier clipping the things off of packages. Almost not worth struggling to scann a receipt & send it for what little the school gets. Hate to say it but might be done with this app. Feel bad for schools.

Galaxy Note 9 on T-Mobile with Android 10. The application works very well, has cute sound and animations for the small donations. Operating it is easy and the school selection is accurate. FOR THE LIMITED GOAL ON WHAT IT IS INTENDED TO DO, I see no major or minor flaws as of this writing. Woah, General Mills makes more than just cereal!

The good: lets people in a community collect points for the local school without having a child in the school system. The bad: scan that receipt before you put everything away and set aside the items that qualify, because almost every time I've had to manually put in what the scan missed (I don't know if it's the way my store does receipts or what).

This app is terrible! Half the time it doesn't allow me to sign it and then I get frustrated and never bother scanning in my receipts. I know my sons school receives far fewer funds with this new boxtops method. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the purpose of these big corporations all along...make it difficult for us to submit let alone remember to scan our receipts. Such a shame.

Definitely a good app. It benefits your kids school, the school and yourself that you know when you buy the products that you give back. I send my cash back to my old middle school. I hope my cash will help them sooner or later and helps the kids of the future that go there. I will be doing that until my kid goes to school. This app is definitely easier to use compared to send box tops to the school. Most of the time I use to toss out the tops now that doesn't happen. Great app!!!!!

Poor experience, I've scanned multiple receipts and it only gives me credit for 1 item when I purchased at least 3 or 4. Not worth the effort. Was a much better experience when I scanned the box tops on the items.

I buy certain things instead of others ONLY because they have the box top image. Then it doesn't give credit, doesn't recognize the barcode, doesn't list it anywhere to match manually. Plentiful Cereal Peanut Butter flavour HAS A BOX TOP IMAGE, but apparently it doesn't count. So, I'm not going to worry about this junk anymore. Sorry school. Tried.

It's a pretty good app to support your childs school. It's easier than the old way when they wanted you to clip from the boxes and mail them in. The only complaint, I wish it were easier to submit longer receipts.

About one out of every 3 times I use the app to scan, at least one Box Top gets missed and I have to go through the trouble of contacting someone to get it resolved. Once the app didn't recognize a promotion twice because I had 2 almost identical receipts, and even though they had 2 different dates I kept getting a message saying it was a duplicate when it wasn't. Box Tops took their sweet time replying to my request for review, and by the time they did, the promo was over and no longer valid.

Complete invasion of privacy. I thought I could just scan the barcodes from the boxes I have at the house that I purchased but they want my entire receipt with everything I've purchased! No thank you!! I will continue to cut the box tops and send them in because that way my privacy remains intact. Or just give up on the program completely. This is an appalling change to a good program.

This app drives me nuts, a small store that I do most my shopping at receipts never scan. I then take the time to fill in the message telling them what I bought and I haven't received any credit more then once. Not to mention we had grand parents that lived out of state that would send then to us and now they no longer can.

This app is great! I was hesitant and skeptical when box tops converted to electronic methods, but this app showed me all the benefits of scanning receipts to earn money for schools. More people should download and join in on the earnings!

Dia. A. Mar 25, 2022

Ok so the app keeps prompting me to enter the sweepstakes but theres no place to enter!!! The app works fine. It would be more gratifying if more companies participated in the Box Tops For Education programs. 10 cents a product is not to exciting 😒

Zac. Jan 11, 2022

The app flat out fails to function. You start out by scanning a receipt, which fails, every time. Then manually selecting the items that qualify which most of the time appear just fine in the list it read from the receipt. This bring on the manual barcode scan which I have yet to work even ONE single time. Then you have to manually choose each item out of a list. My Target app scans just fine, the same barcodes that box tops failed to scan. WHYY???? App gets an F. Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus.

Mic. G. Dec 22, 2021

Not a fan. The app is constantly missing items (which you can report by scanning the barcode of the item IF you happen to be at home when you scan your receipts and IF you know there are items they missed). I prefer the old fashioned method. Good in theory bad in implementation.

Den. L. Apr 4, 2022

earns only 10 cents each for very few items. program needs to be expanded to include more items & more donations for the schools. this is supposed to be non-profit, but it seems like very little money is actually going to schools.

Joa. H. Mar 5, 2022

Our school revenue has been drastically reduced. I shop Walmart online and the new method is wayctoo much trouble because walmart do not give an actual receipt. I believe others may feel the same way so they don't bother. The other brands are usually cheaper. Not worth the effort any more. Just rather make a donation to the school.

Vic. T. May 24, 2022

VERY quick and easy to scan and submit, AND know how much I've contributed to the total. Now I can choose which school - comes in handy with grandchildren in different schools.

Jen. &. N. H. May 23, 2022

This is so much easier than collecting physical box tops. I love just scanning my receipts and having the app find them for me.

Mar. W. May 14, 2022

Most of the time it's okay!! But when I have to go get the product and scan the barcode it's upsetting!!
