Great little app. I keep personal data encrypted in a Dropbox folder that I can read on my PC, phone & tablet.
Sending emails with an attachment from BC doesn't work. The attachment is lost. Otherwise great app.
Very easy to use..
I submitted the problem to the boxcryptor website's Q and A, but as of now Boxcryptor Classic linked with Dropbox fails to open any of my encrypted files. This "permission denial" error has appeared only since I updated to the newest versions of boxcryptor classic and dropbox. EDIT: I just figured out that this bug only occurs when opening encrypted text files with the dropbox text editor.
Free version allows only 1 encrypted folder which is understandable but free users like me would like atleast 2 folders. The login speed to a cloud storage is slow. Sometimes I have to restart the app and load again to update the encrypted folder.
Paid for the Windows version to complement my android copy. So far I have not experienced any problems after two weeks regular use and l Iook forward to enhancements. ** uploads mostly fail now. Devs, please address. **
This is an abandoned software. Keeps trying to read, but does not work anymore. The enterprise used it to attract some consumers and then shift to force them to migrate to the new platform, that requires subscriptions.
No longer supported and no longer working on pc, tablet or phone. My files are lost forever! Good thing they weren't important, but I wouldn't trust any other products by this company now. Shouldn't be available in the play store any more in my opinion.
I'm sorry they'll no longer be updating the classic anymore though. I bought the unlimited Classic version. I do NOT like the other yearly subscription version/idea as it's too expensive IMHO. I dread the day it won't work anymore.
I don't completely understand how protect my information but no problems at moment.
I use the desktop version to sync my documents to Dropbox. It's neat to be able to access encrypted content from my phone!
Does not properly detect BC folder anymore. Luckily it still works on my apple device so I still can access my files.
Tried to create encrypted folder in local storage but not worked shows error please tell me how to fix it.
Great way to secure personal files on public cloud. I have used on Windows, Android & Blackberry
This works across all my devices, which new version does not. Also free unlike new version. Uses encfs so I can use it with OSX and Linux
Used to work. Now, cannot even connect to Dropbox. Useless
super app ! in 2018 stop working in Dropbox. migrate to Yandex disk WebDAV.
Ideal way to secure your content in the cloud. Simply install a Boxcryptor drive on your Dropbox drive, or other clubs provider, and your done. Use enfs for Linux systems.
I've used EncFS in my Dropbox for a while for a Private folder, and now I have access to that folder from my Android phone... love it!
Stopped working suddenly. Thankfully there are free encfs implementations available now.
Love it but recently broken. The new dropbox app update seems to not work with boxcryptor classic anymore
This seems to have stopped working with DropBox so really has stopped being useful for me.
Would have given it five but a bit of work is yet to be done. Description speed, although good, needs a bit of lift. Otherwise, it's in paralleled in the competition.
Do not bother. This app is deprecated and no longer works.
Minimalistic interface and works on slow connection too
The application works fine, but it is missing the support for Amazon cloud drive. :-/
Boxcryptor Classic works like a charm. Can't live without it. And it is Free! Thank you for the wonderful app.
Easy to use with securely encrypted local folder creation a breeze... Use it!
Continue to use BoxCryptor Classic on PC with Win 10. A great idea for securing things like Encryption key files. Unfortunately the Android version of BC Classic does not appear to be up to date any longer. See: Version 1.5.4 (11/20/2013) Perhaps I will move things into my Password Manager - LastPass.
