BoxLock Smart Padlock

It sucks, don't buy it. It disconnects from the lock and won't reconnect without extensive troubleshooting. The lock fails to open if it gets too cold even with the master barcode. And amazon delivery drivers won't use it. Only my USPS Delivery person uses it, and only after I explained what it was and and showed him how to use it. The app is trash though.

Got my box lock about 2 weeks ago and when I tried to set it up I cannot the box lot will not register with the website I see it connected to my phones Bluetooth but can I get it to register with this app I am using a samsung galaxy I would not recommend buying box lot until 8 get all the bugs to work out of the app and improve their customer service and support now I'm stuck with $129 being yellow paper weight. Now I'm wondering if one of the 5 stars on this review is not box lock employees for the owners themselves. Tried it again still NO LOVE !!! My Account is registered however when setting up the boxlock I keep getting App keep saying CONNECTING YOUR BOXLOCK Searching for a boxlock I did a force stop on app and reopened app started the setup process and it does the same thing So I uninstalled the app the reinstall the ap started the setup process and again it does the same thing, App keep saying CONNECTING YOUR BOXLOCK, Searching for a boxlock. I turned off my 5GHZ and left my 2.4 GHZ. WI-FI on, Still get the same response from the lock. I Pressed and held the top button on the BoxLock for about 45 seconds Release the button when I heard a series of beeps, Still No Love.

worthless - delivery people will not take the time to use it. It is very slow (it doesn't check for the package until it is scanned, so a scan for a legit package can take several seconds). Only major carriers are supported. Don't waste your money

Works as expected. Added security and makes my house look more techy then my other neighbors. Notice some comments about the issue with JavaScript. I found a workaround. If you created your account using Gmail and you can't sign in because of the JavaScript issue, try the "add account" option. Apply the same account you were using before. Worked for me. I almost gave up on the app after a week of reviewing my Android's default browser settings. Works like a charm again! :-)

The device is way to glitchy. No one will use it because it is too difficult to use. App froze me out because I had to factory reset my phone. Now it is a expensive brick. Not worth the money. Better off using a standard padlock.

I've tried everything I can do to get this stupid app to connect the lock to my Wi-Fi. It simply will not do it. And what is incredibly irritating is the fact that there is no telephone support. Don't waste your money or your time.

Connects and unlocks fine. But can't change notification settings at all.

Terrible, not one package handler can figure this out. (So not sure what that says) The tracking does not work nor updates. SAVE YOU SANITY AND MONEY.

This is the worst thing that i ever bought it want let you connect to the wi-fi tried of try to connect it .

The set up to this was terrible. If your having issues connecting to the wifi if your wifi has 5G take the 5G off the name mine finally connected after I did that

Used to work flawlessly until I got a new phone and now I can't login as google says javascript is disabled so pointless now to use the app.

There is bug in the application...can't open the lock using Bluetooth.

Great lock - too bad delivery guys too lazy to use it, just drop the box on the side

Ups, FedEx, amazon have no idea how to use this tech. No matter the instructions left or directions. Don't waste your money. Return now.

This box has been a life saver espically during the pandemic. Packages were be stolen and BoxLock saved the day.

Now it wont pull tracking from any email account... smh. This boxlock is a FAIL.

Setup was easy and walks you through exactly what to do. Love that I get notifications of packages delivered and can follow the status of all my out for delivery packages through the app in one convenient location. Sharing barcodes works great as well, amazingly helpful feature!

NEW update. Works perfectly with last uodate to android sw Update. Inventor spent a good hour on the phone but android using Samsung was a no good. Works fine in apple though. Old:Haven't be able to make it work on android. It wont link to the app. It will link to the phone on bt but not on app. IoS does link but even then using separate emails accounts on IOS it will not link to anotherdevice when the ios already has one regardless of sign in credentials ( buffer not clearing appare fly) cant factory reset in either app.

Just got my lock.. Very disappointed in setup.. Update 08/08/18 .. everything works now..

Not thrilled with the app, after waiting 10 months to get the box lock from the Kickstarter campaign. Can only link 1 lock to an account, can't seem to delete barcodes created nor can I edit them.. it never updates. Had trouble with lock initially, factory reset it and linked it back to app hopefully it will stay connected to WiFi, I haven't even attempted to take it outside to my box yet.

I am leaving my comments here because I have been unable to contact anyone at BoxLock. After being a very early backer of this on Kickstarter I finally received my lock, only to be extremely disappointed and frustrated with its performance. Support is nonexistent at this point. Only FAQs. Chat staff gone on weekends. No email support within the app, or accompanying literature. I had high hopes for this product because it's exactly what I need. Perhaps that is why I am so frustrated. Today was my first day using the boxlock. I had four deliveries arriving. I was home all day and waited to see how each delivery went. Not one of the delivery drivers could get the lock to open. When each one gave up and left I tried over and over again to scan this lock open. Extremely frustrating. If the lock doesn't open right away, delivery drivers aren't going to bother with it. The lock is fully charged, network connection is great, but doesn't function properly. The app seems buggy to me. When there is any activity on the app it freezes up. Can't do anything on the app. I have to force stop the app or restart my phone to get the app to open normally. Looking forward to a better experience.
