Braille

The Braille system is a writing and reading process based on 64 embossed symbols, resulting from the combination of up to six points arranged in two columns of three points each. You can do the representation of letters, as well as numbers and punctuation marks. It is used by blind or low vision people, and reading is done from left to right, with the touch of one or two hands at the same time.

The code was created by Frenchman Louis Braille (1809 - 1852), who lost sight at age 3 and created the system at age 16. He had his eye pierced by a tool in his father 's workshop, which worked with leather. After the incident, the boy had a severe infection resulting in blindness in both eyes.
