Excellent app; provided the most timely news relevant to my professional role on an Incident Management Team. Superb tool for keeping response personal safe during the 2016 RNC, provided accurate information that I could relay faster than radio communication were received. Really disappointed in NBC

During the above mass shootings... Breaking News was there to guide, inform, correct and counter erroneous info and Social media posts. People the world over are uneasy and need a way to get the Facts as stories build -to defuse tensions, when we hear the words mass shooting. These stories are Too Heavy to just drop on us during TV News, so we start to look away...once we know it's not in our backyard and that would be a real tragedy of our Times. I didn't know NBC was behind this App---but now I do !

I'm more than sad to see this app go, I'm down right pissed. The widget was on my home screen and I was constantly scrolling and interacting with articles, videos, and pictures that were being shared. I'm sure someone will find a way to monetize this service and you will be back. At least I hope... 🤞

So disappointed to see this app go...Was my "go to" every day, numerous times a day. Best of all news, up to the minute, for around the world. Cannot locate an app to replace. Thank you to all who contributed, and good luck in your future endeavors. BAD decision by management!

The greatest impartial news app gone, because NBC needed MEGA💲💲💲💲💲💲💲to hire the racist right wing Fox reporter Megyn Kelly! Too bad they had to let the best crew in the true news business go, so they could support the Trump regime! Never trust NBC AGAIN. Sure won't watch their news channel ever.

Such a shame. A great app that has alerted me to breaking news faster than other news sources more than I can remember. I would have paid a recurring monthly subscription fee, NBC. Best of luck guys. You did a great job.

NBC must be looking for another way for me not to watch or go to NBC's site (I already don't been that way since they fired Keith for no particular reason) I will really miss the feature where you could "mute stories like this" oh that saved me alot of tension last year :O I'd loved it so much Dropped it on moms PC (Win10 app) Because I discovered it was in there. Well that lasted a month. :( I'm not giving this app a 2 star because I"m making a point this was the ultimate Breaking News app. circa Headline News 25 years ago. Before they hired Glenn Beck etc and it was no longer Headlines but opinion news. When corporate greed gets in the way of an excellent app, you choose to shut it down because it doesn't bring in $$$ for you.. Not everything is about money ya jerks

You've been the best news editorial I've ever seen (a lot better than NBC), I really know you'll find a better job, a job where your skills are truly appreciated. I hope the best for all of you, i'll be constantly watching for updates on the breaking news team because you are the best on the news market.

Pretty impartial news is what attracted this app to me. A lot of places don't realize their job is to report.. Not interpret the news one way or another. That's the readers job. This application was my go to app. It was the first thing that I wake up to in the morning and the last thing I read at night. Why did you have to pull the plug on such a first rate and one of a kind service. A real bad start to a new year.

This was the worst decision you will ever make. There is still time. Bring the app back.

This was by far one of the best apps for breaking news with no BS, you got the facts and information way before any other news source even had a clue. Going to miss this app. NBC you really screwed up this time.

You had zero competition.. at least none that mattered. No other app as good as yours for fast breaking news alerts. I am saddened. Hopefully a big company hires your entire team, in one swoop, and you all get right back to work, and turn this thing back on.

NBC NEWS did all of us a real disservice shutting this app down. You all did a great job for us and this app won't be easily replaced. It was nice to have an unbiased news source. Thanks for the great job you did. And NBC - I will make sure you get plenty of bad advertising for this bad decision.

When you open the app now it shows that operations were shut down on 12/31/16. This app need to be removed from the app store.

This app is great! I remember getting so excited finding out they had an app that would give me breaking news nodifications WAY before any other news outlets could get them to me. Sad that NBC has shut down the app...I'm not sure what I'm gonna do! Thank you to all the people who worked for this app..You really did a fantastic job!

I checked this first thing when I woke up, all through the day and last at night. Retired now from emergency response career but kept following this app. Bring it back. It was a good app and a great team.

No other news service hands local to international breaking news nearly as well. One week in and I already desperately miss it.

NBC owned this app and the app has been shut down. It's what happens when your network is so biased that people leave in droves.

There's just nothing else like it. Without this I may not find out about big and important things for awhile after they are happening.

I loved this app SO much; I truly feel lost without it. There is no other news source that is as quick or reliable.. I'm still trying to find a comparable replacement and am VERY frustrated with the lack of quality with all others... PLEASE COME BACK!!!!
