The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U video game consoles. The game is a part of The Legend of Zelda series, and follows amnesiac protagonist Link, who awakens from a hundred-year slumber to a mysterious voice that guides him to defeat Calamity Ganon before he can destroy the kingdom of Hyrule.

I'm fairly new to botw. I got stuck and stopped playing for a year, until I found this app. This has been such a helpful tool. Now I'm addicted to the game again. It reminds me of drawing my own maps from the ol days, but this developer has it spot on while I couldn't imagine drawing a map for this magnitude of a game. Plus a small fee to rid of the quick and not so frequent ads. Zero spoilers and definitely a must for us travelers who have more than just zelda 99% of the time in our lives.
Modifying initial review due to monitization. This app fails to load each time but launches the second time bringing you a push notification instead of the map you want to reference. Buying all in app purchases results in an app that constantly forgets you paid for it and puts ADS on every 3rd or 4th click. Restoring your purchases to remove ads works only for a short time. However...you have done great work bringing these resources together, map icons are accurate, wiki links are a lifesaver.
This has most definitely helped me complete large portions of BotW. However, I feel that the checklists should follow the order of the way their listed in the game's adventure log. Also, I would love to be able to mark certain things as found but not completed, for example the shrines. I feel the shrines checklist should have an option to mark them as registered travel gates and then a separate option to mark them as completed. Luckily, the app is fairly easy to use and ads don't get in the way.
Exceptional tool for the game. I'm still discovering ways this app can help me get 100% completion. I definitely spent $8 for full features and add free. The developers deserved it. The reason this is a 4 star app, is because it has a pretty bad lag issue. Almost anything marked on the map has a noticeable delay. Multiple crashes for seemingly no reason. Really sad how poorly optimized such a great tool is. From other reviews, I'm definitely not the only one.
A lot of freezing and glitches since the most recent update. Now when searching for areas on the map instead of taking you straight to it, it completely minimizes the map to being zoomed all the way out, which is more than unhelpful when searching for an exact area. It did not do this before the most recent update.
The app can be very annoying at times. For example, it will lag or take forever to load a screen. The Gerudo Desert isn't really done. I can't the Korok seeds or treasure chests, like I can see in other areas. Switching from one area of the map to another will cause the app to freeze and don't get me started on trying to zoom in.
Hands down best companion app. I wouldn't stand a chance with koroks otherwise. Ads are tolerable, only pop up after checking several items, most you can close immediately, some you can skip after a few seconds, and it's only a few bucks to block them which is def worth it especially with how much I use the app. One thing I would like to see is adding master mode chests. Thanks Sebastion Kruse for such a helpful app for one of my favorite games! Looking forward to the app after November 2022! }>
I'm pretty on-edge with this. It is very helpful with information on the game and showing all that you have left (if you check-off all the things you have.) However it's very laggy and doesn't respond well whenever I'm on the map and check something off. I've also tried re-downloading multiple times.
I do sincerely appreciate this app and regardless of the amount of times it crashes and is a little bit slow/laggy its a great companion app for the game. I also appreciate that you can buy all the unlocks (extra pages) for a lot cheaper than one by one. That being said the most important pages are free to use and once again its a good app to have while playing.
This app is absolutely the worst when it comes to lag. I have no idea why, because it wouldn't be hard to FIX IT. Whenever I try to check anything, move/zoom at all, or literally just try to press something, I end up spending five minutes trying to do whatever I want. If I try to press something, the lag sometimes gets you to like, some random page, including multiple incidents where the app just spends five minutes calculating me pressing a shrine to show me the "In-app purchases" screen.
An quite useful and impressive app, but it contains some issues in terms of performance every time that you performn an action like zoom it, check the list, apply filter options, etc. Not sure if the developer is loading the ads or performing those actions in the UI thread or in a separate one, but something is affecting the UI thread that is not allowing move the user fluidly
The ONLY companion app you need for BotW. Perfection at its most perfect. HOWEVER... Just a few suggestions/issues: 1. Duplicate the checklists/map so that we can have separate progress for Normal/Master Mode. 2. Map sometimes freezes/lags severely when checking off shrines/etc. Had this app (paid version) on a few phones, including a Pixel 3, 5, and now a 6 Pro, all with occasional freezes. Not a deal breaker by any means, but annoying nonetheless. Otherwise perfect, would buy again. 11/10⭐
The app itself is good, but it is completely riddled with ads and sometimes takes several seconds to load and let you move or select something. At the very least, it needs to reduce the amount of ads that pop up, taking over the screen and sometimes taking time to wait to be able to scroll again.
Very good app with a ton of compiled information that is absurdly useful. There are some performance issues that make it less enjoyable in some ways but all of the issues it has aren't even enough to lower my rating one start. Phenomenal app I can't imagine how much research went into this.
This app is pretty good! I think it's a little ridiculous there isn't a story guide section, but besides that, very informative! The map is pretty cool, and very customizable, and it's got plenty of recipes and uses an extremely reliable, and thorough source for BoTW guides. My only issue is it's a little old looking? And feeling? But besides that, it's excellent.
Great companion app overall. One star deducted for really annoying ads (full screen with sound), so buying the ad-free version is almost mandatory. Another star deducted for map performance (freezes regularly on screen unlock). Tested with GPU rendering on and off, unfortunately with identical results.
One of the bottom tier open world Map apps for a Console game. I dont understand why ADS and Paywall content are both in this App together. Greedy, imo. Major MAJOR unresponsiveness when using the app and checking off certain things. The amount of Ads in a 5 minute period, make this utter garbage. Go find a browser base BotW companion map. This is a complete waste of time.
Its way too slow just want to check off the koroks seeds just by clicking them but it has to open a screen show how they got the seed then scroll to click slide button then loading then close then loading.Click wrong thing and sent elsewhere..for 900 seeds?! forget that! trying to play the game right now! could print out a map with all seeds on it and use a pen to check them off faster than this! And that wouldnt have ads! And now it just froze up from being so so slow. Had to force close it.
This application is close to excellent. However, my only issue is "player's data are not automatically sync online. So as you use new device, you're progress was not there if you didn't manually save it on cloud.
I mean it's not bad, but it works very slow and I get random ads and the ads banner takes up a quarter of my screen. It works, but it's obnoxious. I don't like how they seperate every tiny thing to pay, even if you can pay everything at once, excluding the ads. Online websites may be more convenient, even on a mobile browser because it also has cookies to remember where you left off.
