Breath of the Wild Randomizer
- Game starts after you obtain the paraglider from the Great Plateau
- You may not have any items or equipment in your inventory at the start of the game
- You may not use any items of the same type as those specified on the app until they have been unlocked
- Unlock item types by completing shrines and entering the name of those shrines into the app
- Collect Korok seeds and complete Towers and Divine Beasts to unlock useful hints for the location of certain items
- Game is finished once the final boss: Beast Ganon has been defeated

As a speedrunner of this game, I lost the ability to play the game casually. I missed that feeling of exploration and discovery. Playing this randomizer brought that feeling back. Having to search for each item before I could defeat the Divine beasts was amazing. Further, it introduces a new element that didn't previously exist in BotW: item progression. Something that exists in ALL other Zelda games finally exists here. There is infinite replay value bc it's different every time.
My phone may not be compatible or I might just be stupid, but I don't understand how this game works. It says to not start with items in your inventory but I was automatically given items. Idk it's just really confusing.
I have not used this app to it's fullest, however I would like to point out that this app has an unfair low rating due to the excessively high amount of children who download the app thinking that it is something that this app does not claim to be. Please don't let the rating deter you, it is probably a 4-4.5 ⭐ app rather that the low 3s that it is misrepresented as.
It's great to replay the game in a different way. I would just like to point out that the blood moon shrine is missing.

Great tool
Definitely adds depth and challenge to a game that was missing it, now the game is actually something that I have to work towards completing. Love it. It could use an in app description on how to setup a new game, sure there's the YouTube vid, but I don't want to go back to the vid if I forgot a detail. Maybe a legend on the map, and a one time notification explaining what pressing buttons on the main screen does, and an "are you sure you want to unlock this item". But anyways, awesome app.
