Nice feature when it works, it keeps saying that I am out of network while I'm standing by the network box. Brighthouse uses to run it through your Internet in your house and it appears as if spectrum is trying to link first to the secure brighthouse wifi. Doesn't work right since switch to spectrum, it used to be my favorite feature of having their service
App WAS working for months then a recent update caused it to no longer work. Tried Uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling app, but it still did not work. I uninstalled the app again. Cleared cache using ccleaner app, rebooted and reinstalled. That fixed the issue. You don't have to install ccleaner, you can clear cache manually. Google how to do it for your phone since what steps can be different for your phone.
The BHTV app only worked spasmodically at home before, only channel 13 outside, now "error, cannot service your request. Try later. Or call customer service...." since Spectrum it's even worse. Nothing. Nada. C.S. in a foreign country with such a thick accent I had no idea what he said. Had no idea about a mobile app for my phone. Said power off, or uninstall then reinstall....I don't have time for this crap! Why not a remote control to use smart phone to change channels?
You're pretty much hamstrung to your own WiFi network, which is really frustrating. The channels provided outside of your WiFi are, personally, insignificant so it's just not used at all if you're anywhere but your home. Even over a friend's house, also Brighthouse/Spectrum customers, this issue persists.
Does not work on S7. Customer support claimed they didn't know anything was going on but then changed their story and said reports were coming in regarding outages. I was told engineers were aware and that the more who called the quicker it would be resolved. Looking at other comments, this has been going on for weeks if not longer.
Pretty pathetic app for viewing "on the go". The FEW channels you get could at least be a mix of different genres (ie news, travel, children's, etc). Occasionally you'll get denied to use the app while you are on your home network? It's honestly only really good for adding shows to dvr when you actually are "on the go". After leaving ATT Uverse (too high), it's sad to deal with such a powerless app. I had tons of LIVE programming I could watch away from home. I will say that this app has more on demand video than the Uverse app did.
When are you going to add features that actually work? It's impossible to take you seriously.
I just downloaded the app after spectrum took over and all the tv channels are fast and clear. My on demand selection is amazing and I get zero issues with it. In able to watch my favorite shows on my time and that great since I work, go to school, and raise a child.
2 months ago I would give it 5 stars. Now that it stopped working and gives me error messages and says that cannot fulfill my request "at this time" and BrightHouse/Spectrum cannot resolve my issue I have to rate with 1 star. Super disappointed :/
Absolute crap since Spectrum took over. The Bright House app worked with no problems, right? Now, it's either buffering forever, or telling me to call their CSRs, or saying the lineup is not available. I am paying WAY too much for Spectrum's shitty service. It kills me that it's either them or ATT and ATT is synonymous with crap service too.
It fixed the problem for me so far. First of all it's false advertising!! to say that you can watch your favorite movies on the go. when it clearly reads, you cannot leave your Wi-Fi secure area!! get real someone should sue for false advertisement! I paid way too much money to be snowed over.
6 months ago I had Live TV, 3 months back it stopped playing anything on live tv all the way through. It plays "maybe 30 minuts of a show, then stops.. Then this comes up; We are sorry,but bla,bla,bla, cannot be presented at this time. Please select another channel-or come back later... Most Flustrating ! Please correct this problem. AMH
App won't even open, uninstalled, installed, cleared memory, uninstalled all other apps cleared memory app still will not work. Push open and it states please call customer service. I'm running a s5 with marshmallow. It worked intermittently before now that spectrum took over never works. Kinda stinks some channels I don't get on TV shows on app only.
BHTV says my channels are restricted for not being at home, but I'm at home!! Also, if I don't quit the app but lock my tablet, when I come back to the app it can't figure out what's going on and I have to quit it and start over. Very frustrated with this app.
Used to love this app until I got a phone and tablet with Android Nougat 7.1.1. Now it doesn't stream live TV at all. App loads and can access settings, DVR manager but no live TV. Please update this app. Android Nougat has been out for a long time
App is crap. Almost never works. Get call Cust Service all the time. Internet is way faster than we had with ATT and more channels for the $ here, but with ATT you could watch every channel you paid for at home anywhere. More importantly it worked all the time
This app has to be one of the worst I've ever seen. The cable system is so inferior to most others I've experienced. Ifyou have other choices, I suggest you use them.
What a disappointment. Ever since spectrum took over and forced me to update the app it stopped working. Hasn't worked even once since they took over.
The app worked every (few) times I tried to use it while at home but on the road it is useless, even though I found it useless at home too, there I have the TV I can watch why look at my phone when I can watch in 55" HD?? Maybe since it's only useable at home anyway make it so I can watch dvr'd content.
I have no problem watching it on any computer after I clear the history first. On my phone it just doesn't work.
BHTV not working since Spectrum took over. Called BH and CSRS were less knowledgeable than I am. Have tried everything, nothing works. They're no help whatsoever.
Everytime i try to watch live tv, it keeps saying WE ARE UNABLE TO BLAH BLAH BLAH. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER. Its been ongoing for ever now and i am really pissed
It would be nice to have more of the channels which we get at home available when accessing the app away from home. But it's hard to complain with the generous number of channels which we do have access to when away from home. Great job, Brighthouse(or whatever the hell you are calling yourselves now)!!!
Spectrum took over Bright House they have increased bills, now my bill is almost double!! Internet is even slower and more unreliable, if one person is downloading anything everyone else gets knocked off line. Expensive compared to other services in the area, slow unreliable "high speed" and paying for high speed so this wouldn't happen it's even worse now that we are on Spectrum! If no improvement happens soon I will be finding other services and suggest you do to!
