Does what it says it does. Great app! Most reviews say everything I would say. It's handy and easy to use. To save battery or just turn lower to save eyes + no ads, this is the one to download! ONE BIG QUESTION:. How do you change "0" brightness to say, 15% when it's totally BLACK and you can't see to change from 0 to 15%? Because if I tap on "0" by mistake, there's no way to change it without "Factory Setting" your entire phone and losing everything. Author should start with 5-10% only!

Does exactly what it's designed to do. Using Galaxy S10 running Android 12. The press and hold feature to customize the buttons to your desired brightness works perfectly. No ad's with a free app!! Excellent design with simple interface, highly recommend if you manually adjust your screen brightness often.

i just wanted an app that had an icon on my phones main screen that gave me quick access to my phones brightness control. This app is perfect for my needs and helps my phone battery to last longer. when you open the app, it gives you options of 0, 25, 50, 75, or 100% for screen brightness. If you hold your finger down on any of these fixed settings, a slider comes up that allows you to set a custom number instead. This app works great with my motorola droid smartphone. Just what i was looking for

Works with Android 12. Pixel 6 Pro. Wanted an app with more than just a few settings. Old brightness app wouldn't work anymore. Percents are off, but I'm guessing this App was not designed for Android 12. I used 2, 7, 12, 16, 27, 100. Which is roughly equal to... 30, 56, 68, 74, 84, 100. Which works well for me. 'Auto' button works too if you want to turn on adaptive.

Not what I was looking for unfortunately. I want something that pushes the default brightness level beyond 100%.basically what Outdoor Mode used to do on Android 7. This just gives you slightly more control over the default adjustments, it doesn't increase the brightness beyond the default. Oh well, still a nice app.

The Brightness app gives you much more granular control over the brightness setting vs stock slider. You can have 6 presets saved, eg low percentage for indoors, higher setting for in direct sunlight etc. and tune them down to the percentage point. It's meant that I can quickly change back and forth, without having to fiddle with the brightness slider later. Very useful, and free of unnecessary permissions that are sadly commonplace for many apps.

As David Smith mentioned "the brightness levels are not in sync with the system, e.g. 30% on the app actually sets the phone to a much higher brightness like 57%." I am experiencing the same thing. Controls say 25%, system says 73%. So, not sure WHAT the actual brightness. Pretty sure it's not 73%. Otherwise ... VERY cool and nice graphic. Motorola 2019 Z4 with Android 9 OS, up to date.

Needed this app for Pixel 6 Pro, which is very bright. Older app, but works ok with Android 12. Configurable presets, using it for additional fine tuning for night owls. Helps to save your battery. Using (setting=phone) 0=0, 1=20, 2=31, 3=37, 5=48, 7=56, Auto=Auto. Usually 1, 2, 3 get me through the day indoors, Auto outside.

I love it. Finally a quick way to change brightness by putting it's icon on the home screen. No more trying to reach up and expand navigation bar just to change brightness.

I tried many apps. This one actually works and I can adjust presets. However, it displays wrong percentage values and I can't have more than 6 presets.

Best brightness app out of all the ones I've used.. very simple and the menu pops up right there and you can pick the brightness level. I really do like that you can also select the auto brightness option (also known as adaptive brightness) because the other apps didn't have this.

Perfect! Percentage seems to be on point with the actual slider, exactly what I wanted. This app seems to be the most accurate from all the other ones I tried, just please keep this app up to date as much and as often as possible!

Doesn't work. I downloaded it after the Oreo update because my brightness keeps changing every 30 seconds whether adaptive brightness is on or off. I wanted to override it. This app doesn't do that. This app is basically just the same as the brightness slider that's already in the phone. I don't see the point.

App needs an update for Android 10. App does not properly control screen brightness on Android 10. I was working great on Android 9 but just updated to 10 yesterday and the app is just not working well. App won't go 100 on brightness or any other percentage correctly. It's as if it's all turned down by 25% App needs an update ASAP please!

You guys just fixed my brightness level problem which was in my phone. I couldn't adjust the brightness level which was stuck to 50%, but after installing the app a miracle happened and my phone was normal once again. I really appreciate you guys and I RECOMMED THIS APP ABOVE ALL!!!Thank you for your help!

I use this at night to drop the brightness of the screen below the lowest Android OS will allow (5%). Absolute lifesaver for reading ebooks in the dark. One star off because sometimes the screen glitches out alarmingly when switching brightness, but it always fixes itself.

met. g. Jan 9, 2019

Perfect, I can set the brightness precisely, rather than guessing and fumbling with the slider (which always moves a bit when letting go and shows no numbers). I've found having different presets way more useful than I thought, too.

Roy. G. Jan 7, 2022

The app would be good if it just featured a widget you could use instead of just having an app shortcut, and if you could resize the widget to match other widgets you might have on your home screen.

Tro. T. Apr 14, 2022

Does the same exact thing your own devices brightness adjuster does .. doesn't make it any darker than your original or make it brighter.. pointless really. But someone could find use for it .. built well other than that .

Eco. Jun 7, 2020

Works well for me. Note 9, android 10. But if possible, add the ability to display current brightness percentage on the icon. Perhaps with a widget. Thank you for a great app.

Set. M. May 19, 2022

Got this to quickly jump between brightness presets and it works great. Easy to customize.

Hao. Dec 15, 2018

Working great brightness profile! It works like what I wanted it to be. No ads and no unnecessary permissions. Really recommend this for those who want a one tap brightness presets.

T. J. Apr 24, 2022

This is the worst app ever i took me forever to get my back bright after accidentally putting it on the lowest setting. I absolutely couldn't see nothing on my screen.

Pla. Apr 7, 2022

Ok given 3 stars because I'm not sure what this app wants to achieve. It only mimics your own phones brightness levels, it will not make your screen brighter

Mad. G. Aug 1, 2019

fantastic!! much needed for one-tap enabling of adaptive brightness when leaving the house. can't fathom why it's buried in phone settings - was built-in & much more accessible on my old phone running Jellybean.

A. G. u. Jan 4, 2019

Works. Simple. Midnight and Midday Settings. Easy and fast to use. No more digging through the idiot slider screens of Android. Desk top function.

Jef. S. Dec 29, 2021

A little weird at first, the percentage scale doesn't line up with the phones brightness settings,in other words,5 percent on the app equals 36 percent on the phone ,once I figured it out, it's good

Man. S. Jun 10, 2020

Best app I was looking for!!! It should just have a small widget to be able to directly select the required percentage, so that we are not required to open app first.

A. G. u. Mar 30, 2022

This app just uses your regular brightness level so it's useless. You can't make the screen any darker than usual with this app.
