Very bad choice of putting the search bar at the bottom. Does not make sense, plus I am getting an annoying bug when I press one icon after I put it in my shopping cart, and the whole list gets refreshed, items are misaligned, empty slots in the list and scrolling is moved to a random position in the list. NOT HAPPY!!

One of the recent updates to wearos app brought change in behaviour on watch when crossing off the item from the list (turning from red to green) moves the item to the very bottom of the list together with the app focus which means one has to scroll all the way up to get back to the active list. It gets annoying for long lists. Before the app focus stayed in the same position where was the crossed/removed item.

It's superbly crafted, undoubtedly the best shared shopping list for Google Home users. However I really wish it allowed for adding custom product categories, and deleting preset items. For example, I would like to make a "canned goods" category, and there are many preset items I never buy which just add clutter to the app. Also, there's an issue where the icon and category of custom items do not get synced for list members using the iPhone app.

Very close to being a great app. Two things that would greatly improve the UX: (1) ability to rename the categories and create new custom ones to accommodate the way stores are organized, and (2) allowing more customization within each product. I think having a quantity form input would be helpful, for example, if I enter "2", I can choose the unit to be "items, liters, kg" etc. Then, a place to add a text description as well on top of that for notes.

Such a bizarre interface. It is slow to add items and quantities you want, especially if it not part of predefined set. For the predefined items, one is unable to change the quantities and modifiers to meet their needs. For instance, 'Milk' has quantities of 1, 5 and 2l. I don't buy milk by the liter and frequently I just want to buy 2. It is too easy to mark an item as purchased accidentally. Overall the interface is not intuitive and wasteful of screen space. Beauty over functionality.

First off, -1 point for begging for reviews in app. It would be nice to prevent the phone from locking while shopping so one doesn't have to unlock it a dozen times while shopping. It would be nice to be able to disable the "Inspiration" feature (I find it annoying). One should be able to edit the item name (useful if one finds a typo after saving).

Useful app, but the developers need to fix two annoying issues ASAP: 1. The app is currently overflowing into the status bar on the top. The back button in the "list view" is behind the hole-punch camera on my phone. I have to press a hundred times, on the camera area, to hopefully go back from a list. This is super annoying. 2. In "list view", the "back" gesture on the display minimises the app. It should take back to home instead. Also, before minimising, there should be a small confirmation dialogue/message/pop-up.

Great app but still has a very annoying bug. When opening the app it starts on a specific list, which I think is wrong, should start on the main menu that contains all lists, but the main issue is that if you hit the back button to exit that list and go to the main screen, the app exists and you have to open it again. Only the back arrow on the top takes you back, which is not a good option given how big smartphones in general are. Please fix this.

Almost brilliant. The recently used items section needs to be able to contain more items (preferably double the amount) before older items being overwritten. I'd never have to add items to my list by searching again, just click one button and done when a food has ran out. Would and will rate 5/5 if this was fixed but at the moment this is an annoyance.

Deleting as fast as I opened it. It wants your facebook or Gmail or email address. It wants your name. It wants the name of friends and family. Everything seems to be preset and I didn't see a way to add what I want which wasn't on their list. I don't want a hassle, I just want to quickly open an app and jot down an item before I forget. Oh well. It does have a nice little recipe feature and the UI is a attractive. Wants too much personal info for my comfort.

You can use it without entering personal info, but you will be punished by being unable to create multiple lists. This does not suit my perpose. I hope you rethink this apps usefulness for those who have no need of other people's lists, suggestions, recipes, etc. I just need an app with up to date features. I am more than willing to pay for such, but can skip joining a cult to have it. Yes, I'm exaggerating, but shop around enough and you may also find 'the join our club' craze annoying

We have a list in Google Keep of a few dozens products we always buy, including their type and quantities. We go over the ticked off items and untick them if we need them next time. With Bring! there is limited number of tiles that can live in the Recently Used folder (and custom folders aren't supported, I think?) which makes it useless for us. Too bad, it looked pretty good at first...

Mostly what I was looking for for a long time. BUT: 1it's not intuitive how I need to check stuff I bought so that the suggestion will know how many I have. 2When looking for stared recipes I completely overlooked the button on the top and was looking for it on the bottom abd "My List" main view. 3would like if it integrated with a few online delivery services to buy everything on the list online. 4an automated meal planing that suggests a balanced diet without selecting everything individually.

The premise that it is used only by unmarried smartphone users in grocery-only stores is mistaken. Walmart is the largest grocery chain in the US. The app's categorization ability needs to be shown in the formatting of the printed output. It's very difficult to push a grocery cart, hold a phone, pick items like produce and milk from bins and freezers and watch kids. The Android add items interface is clumsy compared to the old Google Shopping Lists which had better automatic sorting.

Chr. B. Apr 22, 2022

It's not bad but is very buggy. Often there is no option to delete what you've added, sometimes the button appears sometimes it doesn't. Also, you can't order alphabetically so if you want to find something to tick it off it takes ages of you have a long list. And if you're coming from Google Shopping note there is no way to import lists.

Basically does what it says - like lots of others do. The UI is fine - but lately it uses English words, although the List is set to German. My phone is English - and will ever be. Some devs seem to be obsessed with the idea, people would want their phone in the same language as some apps. - now my SO can't add stuff, when she's on my phone as she does not know the English word for whatever she wanted to write down. A bit to much spammy "Recommendations" in the Free edition - but thats somewhat expected in this day & age. What bothers me too - I did not check, if there is a Desktop Version for the App before I moved my Family over - now I am sitting here in an Android-VM making my Shopping lists... The main reason why I currently stick with Bring, is the Wear integration. Which works better than all others I've tryed so far.

only problem with this app is when you try to check off purchases, it moves around so fast that sometimes you hit two items on list. It would be helpful to have a backup or restore so as to check and make sure you don't delete two or more items at once.

Gui. Mar 8, 2022

I like that this is synced between my chromebook and my wearos watch. On WearOS however, it's not very intuitive to navigate and sometimes the information isn't displayed properly. For entries that are several words for example, half the entry will just be out of vision.

Great database of items but not a very user friendly interface in my opinion. I find it's easy to unintentionally tap a list item just while scrolling etc that removes the item from your list and you have no idea which one you tapped. It would be better to have a checkmark or strikethrough.

Wan. C. Mar 27, 2022

good app, the item list needs to be able to hold more items, i like it remembers and loads into the last list used, but an option should be good for those that don't. a "on the basket" side list/cart could be nice if another person is doing the shopping so the one not at the shop can see which items were on the list in case they forgot what they put in it

14€ a year to not have ads - for a shopping list app. No thanks. Edit: I know I can use the app without paying, but having ads is not "free". I'm willing to pay for an ad free version, but not 14€ a year.

It's pretty handy but on my very first use I notice that I can only select broccoli and can't add a note that it should be tenderstem broccoli. You should be able to add a note to every item, because no app is going to have every variant built. For now I'm back to paper lists.

Ben. A. Mar 26, 2022

I primarily used it for grocery lists, adding things with my Google home speaker. That integration broke for me (but not my wife) months ago. I tried completely deleting and recreating an account multiple times, and reaching out to the developer for help, but got no response.

Ada. B. Mar 18, 2022

it's a good way to share lists with other people. not a huge fan of the interface. it is easy to accidently take items off the list. sometimes lists to sync so not everyone has the same list.

Sha. N. I. Apr 16, 2022

It's a nice app. It could be great but what's missing is the input of price per quantity for the app to auto calculate the total price as well as barcodes. If these functions are in, no doubt it could be one of the greatest.

Just loaded it, so far so good. Why am I dropping Out if Milk, too invasive. I want an ad free no registration required shopping list. The suggestions are fine if that helps pay the bills. Wouldn't mind paying a reasonable one time fee.
