Download the app to any tablet or smart phone for immediate play. You are the conductor for the App-Enabled Engine from BRIO. Use the app as a remote controller for the engine during play. The app features a control panel imitating the inside of a driver’s cabin. With the remote, you choose to put the engine in high and low speed, bring it back and forth or to a complete stop – all with various sound effects. You can also honk the horn and turn on and off the headlights with buttons on the control panel in the app.

Engine won't connect via bluetooth on any iOS device I tried (two iPhones and one iPad) though it will connect on Android. Unfortunately, even once connected, the app is broken - it also won't operate the engine.
App doesn't work. Train doesn't work. Put new batteries in the train and put new batteries in 5 minutes later. Clearly poorly designed gimmicky rubbish that you would not expect from brio. Shame that it's obvious since release this doesn't work yet brio still sends this rubbish out.
CHECK/CHANGE YOUR BATTERIES BEFORE ASSUMING THE APP DOESN'T WORK. Just saying... We also thought the app didnt work and finally put in brand new batteries (mind you the ones we had in were new the night before so they obviously need to be new). Main reason Im giving it 4 stars...
Doesn't work. I've connected my phone to the train, but the app doesn't register the connection. For a £40 RRP train you'd have thought they'd spend more effort on testing the app.
It works great, BUT it took about 4 tries to connect the train to the app via Bluetooth on my Samsung Galaxy A71 phone. Both my son & I are happy with the purchase.
Poor, really poor for a £40 item. Cannot get train to connect to an android device. Won't connect to app. Expect better from Brio. Surely the dozens of poor reviews mean brio need to fix this this issue.
Not working at all. I tried connecting phone and tablet. Both paired, but app not controlling train. Brio, since when you are selling broken garbage? I regret choosing Brio instead of LEGO.
Installed on Nokia 7 , doesn't work. I restarted, and again restarted - still not working! Very upsetting.

App does NOT work with Google Pixel 2XL nor with Google 4XL mobile phones. Though works with iPhone 6. Please update app to work with Google phones.
The effort required to get this app to connect and remain connected with a train designed for children to play with is unacceptably bad.
Rubbish never works. Only coneected two times too blue tooth then never worked after that.

Almost useless, the train does not move with the buttons of the app. I checked and it was connected to the Bluetooth, I installed and uninstalled and installed again just to double check but nothing.I thought Brio had good products, I'm disappointed. The train didn't have the retro button enabled after the installation of the app now it's working but only pressing it on the train. None of the buttons in the app works with the train.
