Broadcastify

The audio quality is good and there are plenty of volunteers providing feeds but the UI is very clunky and unrefined. It feels like something from the Windows 98 era. The other orange scanner radio app has a much nicer UI and is updated more often. Also, I purchased the pro version of Broadcastify's app through Amazon App store and it would never open, so I got a refund. If you guys put more effort into modernizing your app and adding additional features it would be much more usable.

The app just sits on the homescreen and freezes there most of the time. The only way I can SOMETIMES get it to show the feeds is when I restart my entire phone. Not something you want to have to do when you urgently want to hear the scanner. Also the fast forward bar for the feeds needs to be more precise somehow. Navigating through 30 mins of archived audio is incredibly hard to fine tune to the right time frame on a tiny timelapse bar . Fix these issues and the app would get an A+ from me.

I also tried the "Hot Pursuit" scanner app, and enjoyed the layout as well. I also experienced the "warning" message from Broadcastify to rate HotP 1 star, and i could not get HotP to work anymore. Tried this "Broadcastify" app. What a load of garbage! Very obtrusive ads, and timing out. Whatever good they thought they were doing by disabling one app and trying to bring attention to their own crappy app is beyond me. Don't bother with this one.

Always shutting down and restarting, gets real annoying real quick!! You might get 25min with no interruptions or you get the every 30 sec you have to fix it, used to be a great app!! Now its trash!! I have this one 2 phones and both do the same thing!! Stright trash now!!

Fine except for the fact that it keeps stopping at around 4 to 5 min mark. And my app settings are all set to allow play in the background and made it exempt from other battery saver settings. Still does it. And it seems, based on all the other reviews with the app, that they haven't fixed this.

Feed repeatedly shuts down without any indication and has to be restarted. If it is running in the background you often don't notice that it has shut down. Really frustrating.

Live feed stops constantly. It won't run while using other apps on the phone. It should be like Spotify where you can choose to run it all the time even if the screen times out.

I used it yesterday at around 7:30 pm and it worked and then I tried to use it later and keeps coming up with a error saying can't connect to server check your network connection. My network connection is working just fine or I couldn't be writing and sending this. If I try to get on through the website it says your connection is not private net:err_cert_date_invalid go back to safety. Needs to be fixed. ASAP

App is very basic with annoying ads. I could care less honestly. My biggest issue is I can't find a particular feed in the app, but I can find it on the brodcastify website.

I was glad to find an app which was able to broadcast digital radio calls. My only complaint is that (although city and state is available) county is not available.

I really love this app and have had it for several years. But for some reason now it does not show the city that is responding before it would show every town in the county plus the county sheriff account EMT now it does not show that? why? Also I like to play this when I sleep when I'm going to bed and halfway through the night it freezes up and does not respond no sound coming out at all. you need to reevaluate your updates on that. Other than that it's okay

It's very evident that most people seem to be having ongoing issues with streams stopping randomly and involuntarily. If that problem gets corrected, this would be a terrific app. But as it is (and has been for as long as I've used this app), it's very unreliable.

Pretty good app. Lots of feeds. The biggest complaint I have is that after you put the app in the background, after a few minutes, the feed stops streaming and you have to bring the app up and start the stream again. The feed should stream continueslly until manually stopped.

Consistently requires restart every 10 minutes or so. Will alert when it disconnects. Very easy to use and clear audio quality, otherwise. I used to pay for this app for the archives before it started crashing all the time.

Stops broadcasting constantly. I don't even get a notification that it stopped like any decent app would do. I just realize I hadn't heard anything in a while and have to open the app back up. The app that Broadcastify claimed "stole" free broadcasting content from them never quit working on me.

Good app, some flaws - the Android version, unlike the Apple one, doesn't show which channel it stops on & when I asked, they said they had no plans to add it. When playing, my phone thinks it's a threat to the battery life & turns it off frequently. I give up. I uninstalled.

Over the last few years, it would disconnect occasionally after several minutes, now disconnects at 1:03. I always have to restart it every minute, very disappointing app. Will be looking for a different app that actually works.

it doesn't matter which app you use, the audio comes from the same place and (as far as my local feed goes) it's always 1 sided. I can hear 1 person talking but never the others, not sure why but it's like that with every app I've tried. there's really no point payin $3 for this either, the ads give you somethin to look at because the app itself is unbelievably plain, of course it's up to you. well that's obvious, like you're gonna not buy this because some dork on the web said not to, smh....

Constantly stops. Only good for listening to the first few minutes of an incident. You have to constantly hit play to restart the feed. Does have a lot of feeds and would be awesome if it worked.

i happily have been using broadcastify for years. within the past several days the feed shuts down at 1 minute 35 seconds. i use an android lg g40 thinq. any advice? UPDATE: broadcastify gave me instructuons on changing my battery save options to stop this from happening! very impressed.
