some of the new features look interesting, like mobile checkout. The catalog has become almost useless in the mobile version, and the ebook search functionality has been rendered useless by forcing me to search for a title across multiple individual platforms. The search in the earlier myBPL app had its problems, but having a global filterable search seems like a baseline feature for a library app. I hope the request function is a bug, this is a 1 star review if not fixed.
It's cool that I dont need a physical library card to checkout, as well as being able to see my checkouts. But I cant reserve or request a book. The app closes out every time I try and request a book.
I have used this app for many years. Lately 2021 can't get the app to stop jumping all over the page. I Uninstalled the app. Installed again. Now app asking for permission to my files. Which I denied, and now can't stop get the app from jumping up and down on page! Which caused me to uninstalled the app again. Not using can't use.
I think the app is useful and, practice to use. But, when I search for items, some of them does not appear on the app instead in the website it does and when using the ISBN search it doesn't work, even with their own books that the have. needs to improve.
No idea why it needs access to my microphone and camera. When I hit don't allow it started acting up real bad and crashed after a few seconds.
Went nuts because I denied it access to files. It asked for permission to view my files. I denied it and the app started glitching uncontrollably. I had to uninstall. That's a really bad feature.
Awful app. Installed it and did not give permission to see my files. Then app jumped all over the place . Had to force close it. Uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Same problem Just awful. Why isn't it part of cloud library like the NY public library is ?
Works well, very convenient. Now if you can add the capability to pay fines/fees, I'd give the app an extra 🌟. All in all, very handy.
Update: Can you please add bookshelves? Reading, in progress, read; as well as all the read books history like on the web version. Old Review: On a second thought the app is ok but needs more work. Can you please add bookshelf (Complete, in progress, etc) history like on your main site? Thanks
Downloaded the app. It asked for permission to camera, media, etc. As soon as I denied access, the app started to glitch. Had to Uninstall app. Please fix this issue.
Im not giving it access to my camera, microphone, or files. Also it just flips out on opening the app and I can't even use it
Can't even use the app. Whenever I try to open it, the screen just flickers. Total garbage
The app is missing Booklists-a way for me to keep track of the books I want to read and easily put those books on hold. Without it, the app is worthless.
Dumb programming. Obviously memorizes your card number and auto logs you in, yet keeps demanding the same info to accomplish anything. Oh, and no way to cut and paste that info.
The app required me to agree to allowing it to take photos and record videos before it would work on my phone. That is way too invasive. I am deleting this app.
the app is messed up. glitches completely. I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times to try to fix it.
Like the others something is wrong with this app had for years got a new phone and if you don`t let them so they can see everything it won't work.
You don't need to take pictures and share permissions if you're just reading!!!!😕
As soon as I installed it it started jumping. I did not give them access to my phone's files videos and contacts why does need all that information
Searching for Charlotte's Web results and "no search results" and performing the same search on the desktop website produces what you would expect when you search a title like this.
A buggy mess. Asks for permissions it doesn't need or explain, and then crashes.
wow, this app is much much better then the previous one, but still Needs to be Updated and some upgrades... its still to fresh, like it needs to be improved! but thank you Devs
Get real! This app doesn't need access to my files, etc. Let me set the permissions I want.
Deny it unnecessary permissions, and it'll get stuck in a loop. Unusable
I couldn't use this app, the home page just jiggled. I uninstalled it right away.
Something broke with most recent update. Unusable. Won't even open.
Terrible app. I denied permission to see everything on my phone and the app threw a fit.
catalog doesn't list all the books, info on brunches is incomplete.

Unfortunately, had to uninstall right after adding it to my phone. The application asked permission to my files and to take pictures and recordings, which I denied and then it began to act up. It looked like a webpage that is keeps opening new tabs, only that this is an app doing repetitive opening and closing of its window. It is a glitch that is a bit unnerving in the way it behaves. Cannot recommend it to others. Hopefully, this issue is fixed soon.
