Why does this get five stars? Because in settings, you can set it to text only which means that you don't download the advertising & pictures which uses so much data if you are on that kind of plan. I have TracFone which I love and this app allows me to read anything I want without using all the data. You go into settings and set it to text only. If you want to get out of the app and be returned where you were, you just keep hitting the left key

the ui is so boring. when you have text as the fundamental element of your product it needs to be well placed in the layout. that would be even more impactful than bunch of icons. however this app is superior to its competitors by a large margin. the next one might be a stretch.. the text in the webpages needs to be optimized and intelligently selected. eg the chips on Google search pages take up a lot of space.. they must be squeezed so that the results are clearly visible. word limit reached

Excellent browser for disabling most of the bloat of the modern web. My only complaint is that the back button doesn't work (or only works sometimes)! Would be my default browser if this was fixed.

Still the reigning CHAMP of NO ADS, plain-text browsOrs. Love the ‘Baby’s First App’ Theme. And the Bookmarks. And the History. And . . . everything! This is every Reader’s dream experience: a small footprint, clean design with just the right amount of features and no more to slow it down. Also FORKS off of every browser — including Firefox — flawlessly.

Honestly, the only feature I wish this app can do is stopping video content from autoplaying, and block third party JS from running. As a minimalist browser, this app is almost perfect for my use case.

I want to like it, but it will not allow me to open the settings menu. Every time I try to open it, it takes me to the history section. I've tried to fix it, reinstalled it twice. Sorry, but it's unusable at the moment for me. If it gets fixed I'll update the review in a heartbeat.

Excellent for reading websites in text mode real quick if you just want to read the friggin" article and not be bothered with a whole bunch of popups, videos loading, etc.

Perfect! I wanted to download drivers from gigabyte site and site was stupid... big download images broke the page and i couldnt see the link. This app was exactly what i was looking for and now im dowloding drivers with turning images off!

will rectify rating soon. i tried to click on google search link of mini series on wikipedia. but browser kept on reloading same result page. i had to press back that many times, i tried to click on search link.

Exactly what I've been wanting. Simple, clean, saves all that data when on cell and not Wifi. Perfect for checking news updates. Thanks

So far I like the concept of the app. I'm using Text-Only mode and I love it. My only complaint is that it seems super slow. I expected a text-only browser to be lightning-fast.

perfect. Now I can read the NYT free, just like in lynx/links/elinks. I use this in conjunction with other web browsers.

Cannot switch portrait to landscape. Have to reload page. Cannot go back a page. Needs work.

Could not get Reddit to load in text only mode Edit: Figured it put. I have to keep it in web view and just turn images off. Adding a star.

Unfortunately the app does not display pages properly on devices with e-ink displays. Otherwise i would have given 5 stars
