I can't order ahead because the app doesn't have the full menu (including everything I'd like to order). The only practical way to use the app in the store, is to begin the login process early, because it keeps logging me out, and only authenticates with a password, and it's not practical to look up my password at the checkout with a line of people standing behind me. (Who keeps their Bruegger's password memorized??)
There are no options for taking something off a sandwich, getting more sandwich options, getting food on the side, finding hot chocolate, the types of tea you can choose, etc. There are a lot more menu options when you order by phone or you in store.
Let's you order but not what you want to. For a business that won't let you order any other way, I wish I could do more. I want to change the meat from bacon to sausage or to add extra meat but the only thing you can change is the bagel and how many eggs you want. Not much of a customization or a selection. Very frustrating
Can't customize sandwich or remove unwanted toppings. I am allergic to cheese and spread. Would have loved to order ahead but cant. I can only use the app in store to rack up points which is nice for free items, but cannot get app order rewards
Pointless app, works less than half the time, resets frequently, wiping your points and sign in info completely. Never respond to emails about issues.
Worst food ordering app we've used. It's like it's not even connected to what's going on in the store. If they don't have your bagel, you'll find out after you are supposed to pick up the order. Need a refund because of this? Well the store can only do so much. You're going to have to reach out on your own.
Offers a VERY limited menu selection, with no customization beyond bagel type and cream cheese choice. Want American cheese instead of Swiss? Not an option. Want spinach added to your lunch sandwhich? Not an option. Don't want onions on your sandwhich? Not an option.
Impossible to customize your order. Great if you want exactly what they present but otherwise, not so good.
Placed order through the app, payment was made, but store claimed they never got the order. Would be helpful if the Big Bagel Bundle was customizable.
Charges an extra fee each time you order and I have emailed customer service multiple times as to what that is about with no response. Does not track what is actually in stock in the store so when you get there there's no food Update: emailed a week ago to get a refund for the food that was not available and have gotten no response Update: A month later, still no response.
Worthless. Can't load to be able to place a mobile order. Tried restarting app, my phone, and reinstalling the app.
I like our local Bruegger's, but this app is pretty unusable in its current state. You can't really customize orders and some menu options seem to be missing entirely. It needs some serious work. I'll keep checking back and if they improve it I'll post a better review.
Love the staff and the app. I live about 11 minutes away. I place my order on the app and it's usually done and waiting for me when I get there. The staff remember you and are so friendly. I've watched work really hard on the early morning weekends, and they do it with a smile. Just exceptional service.
Super fast and great service at the store. the app makes it easy to swing by and pick up food! I work down the street super early in the mornings, being able to order online makes my mornings much easier!
Love the food, like the app. I wish they would add more customization to ordering.
When I try to start a new order it asks for location. When I pick a location it goes to recent orders. I don't want to reorder, I want to make a new order, but again, selecting start a new order goes back to the location. It's an endless loop. If I select a previous order instead, the app crashes. Very frustrating. I already uninstalled the app, restarted phone, reinstalled app, and this is still happening.
This app does not offer enough customization fields for the customer. This app does not offer all of the bagel flavors that the store offers. This app needs to be revamped for customer convenience to purchase mobile. This is the first review I have left with Bruegger's and Einstein for the same issue and I thought I was doing the company some good justice but from reading all of the reviews it seems that they do not care is because they have not corrected the issues... bagels are still good, BUT
App orders are easy and quick. Great thing to have for early morning.
A lot better now that you get rewards no matter what way you pay. I don't have to load money on my account.
I use the app for the rewards, and for contactless payment. I would really like to be able to order ahead, but: 1. several bagel flavors aren't available in the app (whole wheat everything in particular). 2. I can't choose which cheese goes on my breakfast sandwich. 3. I can't select the bagels in my half-dozen. Because of that I can't do curbside pickup, which means I'm skipping my bagel fix a lot of the time. Fix those things and you'll get more business from me again.
All in all an ok app. The problem is that on multiple occasions now I've had my app scanned at checkout... and zero points have been added. I've chalked it up in delay with the system because I've seen it take a day or two for them to appear, but nope, no points over the last few weeks have ever shown up.
The app has a fairly flawless design. I had no trouble creating an account and navigating the interface. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't edit my sandwich beyond the bagel. I don't like tomatoes and wanted to take them off but didn't see the option too. I also didn't see the option to leave a note or instructions. Despite that small part the order was ready and waiting when I got there.
The app is very easy to use, but the only missing feature is the ability to truly customize my order - change the type of cheese, remove a topping from a sandwich, or add a second meat. I'm rarely able to use the app to order because of this. I'd love to see this feature!
This app is terrible, but all items that are available at the Cafe are on the app and you can order online and pay with card without adding money to the wallet and even if you try to add them, there is constant error for processing credit card. I'm not able to place an order for a while now. You are losing money and customers with such a bad app
Unlike every other restaurant app out there this makes you pay for points first with a credit card and then use those points to pay for orders. Of course you can't just pay for only the amount of points you need so you always have to keep buying more to use the balance. Also they add things unexpectedly in the app to get more money. For example a western sandwich normally has 1 egg but in the app they load it up with add-ons so you automatically get a second egg added. It feels aggressive.
Can't even edit a bagel bundle. So if you want a custom 13 bagels you pay more than double. That being $12 for a bakers dozen bundle, but $25 for a bakers dozen of my choosing even if they are all plain. This is a worthless app beyond points.
I like the app except for example with egg sandwiches it doesn't give you as much bagel variety as the stores themselves have available ordering inside.
The app works well. But in my city where there are 10 Brueggers locations not a single one does mobile ordering ahead, and the rewards program is mobile orders only so I can't use it at all. It would make sense for them to add a way to scan your rewards and deals in store so people like me who can't use mobile ordering still have use for the app. I have a mobile deal for a free bagel with purchase of another item but cant use it because none of the locations do mobile orders.
The app has gotten better, but I still can't pick out my own bulk bagels.
No way to cancel order. I had tried to make an order for pickup and use a coupon code. I had assumed that the code would be entered at checkout but then it just went ahead and charged my credit card for it without a confirmation screen for payment or pickup time. Then to make matters worse there is no way to cancel or edit the order even immediately after submission. After calling my local shop they still couldn't cancel the order made from the app or give me a refund. This app is terrible.
