BTCarMono Bluetooth Mono Router for BT earpieces
1. the main scope of this app is to ROUTE MULTIMEDIA AUDIO FLOWS ON BLUETOOTH EARPHONES supporting only phone calls, or CAR STEREO SYSTEMS interfaceable to bluetooth exclusively in telephone mode.
2. user must be conscious that the BT channels reserved for phone calls are MONO and LOW QUALITY, so DO NOT COMPLAIN for sound quality!
3. this app is GOOD, GRATIS and NO-ADS, we all benefit from the existence of well-made and free apps, they are rare, let's preserve them, otherwise tomorrow we could PAY for worse apps! I am not a "commercial company", I am alone, and I creat apps by "pure passion", they "survive" only for my passion, feeded by your 5 stars! APP DESCRIPTION
This application was originally created as an ADD-ON of my app FREE NOTIFICATION READER (starting from version 4.0 till 5.01.6), now it is officially supported ONLY in STAND-ALONE mode, as FNR do not need it anymore!
Its main scope is to route MULTIMEDIA audio flows on:
1. stereo car systems, which can be interfaced via bluetooth exclusively in telephone mode, or used as such
2. bluetooth earphones supporting only phone calls (not equipped with multimedia channels).
More specifically, this app lets you stream multimedia content (audio, music, etc.) to bluetooth devices that DO NOT support multimedia channels, but only "phone calls".
Usually such devices, such as stereo car systems or mono headphones, do not allow you to listen to audio streams and music with Bluetooth headphones. Instead, with this app, all this will become possible, specifically you can listen to voice messages from my FREE NOTIFICATION READER!
Common issues due to devices and Android limits:
- the sound quality is not particularly good
- not all smartphone models are compatible
- there are some problems with Samsung Galaxy S2 and S3 (and not only)
- sometimes the process may be interrupted by Android.
However, consider that it is a simple ADD-ON of my FREE NOTIFICATION READER.

Works as advertised, no weird permissions. Convenient widget button. Is it possible to activate when there's audio only? I normally listen to the car radio and occasionally use GPS. Would be nice to the hear the step by step instructions over the car speakers. Some navigation app has "play as Bluetooth phone call" option, but not Waze.
works perfectly and as intended! glad I didn't have to pay though because mono music isn't my preference on a car stero. i can't really tell the difference on my headset though. lastly, i noticed the widget doesn't work to turn the function on or off. but it does change when I go into the app.
Fantastic. This allows me to play audio books and music through my vehicle radio. I recommend using the widget because it makes the player super easy to use. Once you work out how to connect it with the device you are using its very easy to use and works much better than any other app similar to this one. 😁👍🏻
Excellent job. Very good app and very useful widget. although one feedback for improvement is that the widget is 3 x 2 which occupies a lot of space and I think it could be squeezed into to 2x1.
Not working on Huawei Nova3i with built-in FM Radio. It will just turn off the radio music, then it will send a low frequency sound in the Bluetooth headset. But no music can be heard.
Thank you very much l have BT hearing aids that I want the phone to connect and this app allowes the find my phone app to mono ring it with the BT watch instead of ringing in my hearing aids. Magnificent work!
I have a galaxy 8. I was only allowed with my blue tooth headset for calls only. With this app I can use headset to listen to media. Thanks for a great app.
Im impressed. while it's quality is not great because it's over a phone call it definately works, use this if you want to pester someone in your car by playing some basa nova elevator music

Works well with my Jabra BT204
Disabled speaker functionality temporarily which persisted after app removal. The developers response is redundant and unhelpful. The call was obviously closed and the attitude unappreciated. Only moved you up to three stars because i didnt have to factory reset to fix the residual problem. Im all for free software...lose the self-righteous attitude and focus that energy into your code.

Pretty useless really. All it does is permanently connect as a phone call. Nice try but only introduces another problem to the ubiquitous issue of voice navigation over car Bluetooth. Would be better if it blocked A2DP and forced HFP. UPDATE. The author has a fair point. It does what it says on the tin - I just expected more than can be achieved. Because the author has been totally honest, I have revised my review to 4 stars.
