Simple app to stream audio to your bluetooth mono headset.
Requires Android 2.2 or higher. Tested on stock HTC Evo 4G ROM (2.2) and CM7 RC1. Leave feedback and ask questions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=950472

- Automatically enable Bluetooth on app launch (user can still choose not to allow this). Make sure your headset is actually CONNECTED before hitting 'On.'
- In-app 'Media Volume' control. Adjust the 'Bluetooth In-Call Volume' using the physical buttons on your phone or headset.
- Ongoing Status Bar notification while the program is running.
- Automatic turn on at app launch available via Menu-->Preferences. Note
- if enabled your headset must be connected before running BTmono.
- ICS (Android 4.0) support including use of Holo theme.
- Limited Skype support (if enabled after call is started). Please note
- microphone routing is not possible on Samsung phones and may not be possible on GSM phones

Notes:
- Make sure your headset is connected BEFORE clicking 'On'
- To use with Skype you must enable BTmono AFTER starting a Skype call. Microphone routing does not appear to be possible on Samsung phones (without some ugly hacks, at least) because of Samsung's efforts to prevent phone call recording. Microphone routing may also be impossible on GSM phones due to API limitations. Please don't rate the program lowly due to this
- Skype support is not the point of this app!
- To reduce static, set the 'Media Volume' slider to max and reduce the 'Bluetooth In-Call Volume' via your phone/headset.
- This version contains a workaround for a bug in Android 2.2 which causes a system crash under certain circumstances. If you are on 2.2, do NOT disable Bluetooth while the stream is running or your phone WILL reboot (sorry
- tell your phone manufacturer to move to 2.2.1+).

Really enjoy this app. I have a Jabra headset that, while not great for music, works perfectly for podcasts. I also have regular bluetooth headphones that work natively, but as I like to maintain situational awareness while working, I only wear them in one ear anyway. This app is a great way to use a mono headset that has been artificially limited by the manufacturer.
A really good app that has extended the life of my Bluetooth headset. The only thing is that it's a little fiddly, I find I have to turn it off then on again if I open a new app if it could force a refresh automatically it would be great, thanks
This is a great app that I was using daily. However, recently an security update on Android 11 makes an immediate disconnect after the connection is made. This works the same for all apps that do this. Please fix if possible!
Great app, works as expected with mono bluetooth headset in car... Maybe some feature request -add on/off switch to notification area :-).
Works well on my old S4 . My Bluetooth earpiece only worked for calls , but with this app I can hear google maps which is perfect for deliveries ☺
I used this app lot time, now i bought premium for proper use .. but wasted my 85rs.. i receive a call while lizng songs, after hang on i won't lizn properly, then i reconnect ( get my phone from my pocket and on and off) it's annoying. Pls update
How can make it work to restart after call? The function is checked in the app, but it doesn't automatically restart. There are permissions that I have to allow from the phones settings?
Tested on OnePlus 6 with default camera as well open camera but did not work, requested for refund.
Seems to connect for a short period then returrns to the phone.
kept saying music can't play while on the phone but I wasn't on the iPhone

works with all apps for me. I like the ability to select icon color in status bar. occasionally I have to reset blue tooth on exit from bt mono. I don't keep bt mono on all the time because in my case it keeps the headset in active state rather than standby, so runs down bt battery. I realize that it may not be the app that causes the issue. I am using plantronics bt headset and it may be the headset firmware that won't go to standby whenever bt mono is on.
Worked flawless from the start saved me from having to buy a $80 set of headphones what we have here is a great developer and a great app thanks for your work ill buy more of your apps. Also people try the free version to see if it works before you complain, people it is phone dependant whether it works or not.
This app is simple and does exactly what it says on the tin. No more pulling off to screw with aux cabling or speakers, pairs with my car radio and plays my Pandora. Premium auto-resumes after call hangup, a nice convenience definitely worth a dollar.
Great app, I've been using it for years on several different phones, I keep choosing Bluetooth headsets that don't support media audio, so this app is an absolute necessity. My only problem with this latest version is the volume default setting. Max should be the default, and nothing else. Even when I turn it all the way up, it doesn't seem quite loud enough. I need more volume! MORE VOLUME!!
