Bugjaeger Mobile ADB - Develop & Debug via USB OTG

How to use
1.) Enable developer options and USB debugging on your target device (https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/dev-options)
Note: On Huawei devices you might first need to turn on USB tethering before you enable USB debugging
2.) Connect the device where you've installed this app to the target device via USB OTG cable
3.) Allow the app to access USB device and make sure the target device authorizes USB debugging
Inspecting Android device internals, running shell scripts, checking logs, making screenshots, inspecting backup files, and many more tasks that are normally done on your laptop can now be performed directly between 2 mobile devices.
This app works as sort of Android to Android ADB (Android Debug Bridge) - it offers some features similar to ADB (Android Debug Bridge) and Android Device Monitor, but instead of running on your development machine, it runs directly on your Android device.
You connect your target device through USB OTG cable or through WiFi and you'll be able to play around with the device.
ADB protocol is supported also by Android devices other than phones & tablets. That means that you should also be able to control your Android TV, Wear OS watch, or even Raspberry Pi with Android Things OS.

- reading bootloader variables & info via fastboot protocol (you can for example dump some hw info, security state, or if the device was tampered)

Requirements
- Enabled USB debugging in Developer options and authorise the development device
- Fastboot protocol support if you want bootloader info (note that the amount and type of information that can be displayed via fastboot will vary between different devices)
Please note
This app uses the normal way of communicating with Android devices which requires authorisation.
The app does not bypass Android's security mechanisms or anything similar!
This also means the app won't be able to perform some privileged tasks on non-rooted devices.

Edit: Changed to 5 stars because there's an option to turn it off, however I think the sound should be off by default Original: 4 stars because app works. Minus 1 because of the unnecessary and obnoxious camera shutter sound that played when I accidentally pressed screenshot. I don't understand why it came out of my phone's speaker when my wired headphones were connected.
Bugs need to be fixed I used this 3 or 4 times then I needed it for my quest 2 to download an app file from my phone to the quest but it would not pair I tried everything you need to fix this I use your app for very important use but I can't use it if it don't work please fix this comes in very important but pair my device has became a problem fix your app
My phone is not detected by bugjigar ....it start charging...I have changed preference of usb to file transfer but still charging...in computer also charging happen but computer adb also work even though my phone is charging but in your app my phone is not detected only charging occur but in computer both adb and charging occur at same time
Not work for Samsung devices. When I connect my Samsung phone in bootloader mode then the app can't show the device
This app used to work for my quest 2 headset. Now when I connect the quest 2 doesn't show up on the app therefore I can't install apk files
Bugjaeger is one of best app in playstore. I installed with in 5 minutes twrp custom recovery in redmi note 4. but i can't remove system application
damnnnn bruh it really worked i got a tablet from government i just wanted to remove admin apps to get fu access of the device by myself thanks it really helped me it really feels good when u really wanted to do something and search on store and find a app that really solved your problem
Amazing app! I used it on my tivo stream to disable bloatware. VERY effective for that, but make SURE you know what all the apps do! I had to reset my tivo after disabling some stuff I should not have! (oops). Deleting stuff didn't seem to work (on tivo). But disabling them does the trick! I've used it to sideload a few apps, too. Awesome! It's difficult to learn, at first. I went to developer's site to learn the interface. But, once you know how it works, it is amazing!
Can't work for Samsung devices. When my Samsung phone go in bootloader mode the app can't show the device
Developer deletes valid reviews. I posted a actual bug in which I had to reinstall the app to get the placeholder text back because the application didn't give me the ability to insert . to separate IP octets. Without the . I couldn't provide a valid IP address to connect to. My device didn't have a DNS record either but I appreciate the flexibility - but you'll still likely need to implement . at some point. However, the app works as intended so great stuff.
Fantastic tool for simple stuff & beyond TBH I've only used this to side load apks on quest 2 (since I don't have a PC), and does exactly what I needed once I figured out the functions/buttons etc. Connection is a bit hit and miss, but no fault of the app. Essential kit for remote interaction with other hardware when you dummy have access to non corporate PC. Thanks Devs.
Won't Connect to Quest 2. I've tried the methods listed by numerous people, none have worked. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, I can't even get this app to recognize anything, I just open it and it's all blank. No devices listed, no files, nothing.... All while connected with a cord. Any help would be appreciated and the review will be updated upon resolution of issues.
It was called cx file explorer then as soon as I click on it, it just doesn't transfer the app to my vr
It also have presaved command don't have to type them every time that's make it more easy
I used to use for my oculus but since my quest 2 updated I can no longer connect to this no matter what device I use

This app is good if the target device wasn't in recovery mode. If the device is in recovery mode, Bugjaeger lists and detects the device fine, but all commands won't work (No such file or directory errors). Please make it so Bugjaeger can run an interactive shell for devices that went to recovery mode. Update: That's fine if you cannot fix it. My first tablet, Xtouch F81, cannot have custom recoveries for some unknown reasons.
As my username implies, I am a frequent user of the app Tasker. Recently some great actions were added to Tasker that require ADB Wifi to be enabled on the device. This was the only app I could that lets one Android device enable ADB Wifi on another, without root required on either. For example I use my tablet to enable ADB Wifi on my phone. Otherwise I need to connect my phone to a PC to do it. And most people don't carry around a PC all day, but it's always easy to find another Android device!
Amazing works just as advertised Just needed to run shizuku on my tablet and it does pretty well But somehow it not works until plugged and unplugged multiple times , have tried using different usb cable as well as OTG adaptor but the issue still persist otherwise is able to send commands easily --------Edit: thnx for replying, no the device is not a pixel 6 pro and could you provide an alternative way of communicating cause I don't think the review section is the best for this discussion
Doesn't work at all, i've set the usb debugging to on n also the usb otg to on but still can't be connected via USB on both devices. been clicked the restart adb button but doesn't affect anything, clicked to connect via WiFi but it's says error, what's wrong? The adb server itself was not started in the app in the 1st place? I installed the app on both devices, as target n the "PC", but nothing happened only wasting of time

Disconnecting automatically after entering reboot bootloader
Doesn't recognize quest 2 sand won't connect. Stuck saying pair device and won't pair even when my quest is plugged into my phone. I put on USB debugging and everything. I have been trying and whe I upload a apk file it unpaired the device even when still paired. I only was able to pair it once and when I did it said no device. 1 star for this app, recommend doing it on pc and doing it through sidequest.

Amazing app that is super useful and jam packed with features. Allows ADB connection via OTG cable or wireless through wifi. It's relatively easy to setup and it has a easy to use UI. Opens doorways into your device not possible before without a PC. Essential application for any tech inthusiast.
This app is not detecting my device. I have redmi note 10 pro and mi a2 lite. Target device is mi a2 lite. I have custom android 12 rom on mi a2 lite. I want to install different custom rom. On mi a2 lite. And i am using bugjaeger app on note 10 pro. When i put a2 lite On fastboot mode. So bugjaeger app not detecting my device. Both phone have enable usb debug enable. But still not working. Plz fix this issue.
Brilliant, much easier than adb on computer. I used to debloat devices - phone, wear os android watch and android TV. so much easier to use than "pm disable bla bla" per package name. all the packages are listed and you select what to do with it - I always disable so if I run into any issues I can enable again Don't use until you're familiar with adb and how to connect. I use Fing app to determine the network address of devices
App works very well. There are some problems trying to connect to my Headset sometimes but overall perfect app. I need some help with the wireless mode in the app.. i put in my headsets IP, it says connecting then something like "no permission" Please help!
Apps permanently say "installing" For 3 hours have I left my phone to install some software into my quest two, now this is a fairly small thing (650mb) yet it hasn't installed and has no signs of installing, it can't be an issue with my WiFi as I'm the only person logged into the WiFi and get a consistent 20mb/s download speed, it can't be an issue with the link cable due to it working with other apps completely fine, this apps a joke
