Very glitchy ... When I try to scroll through the "offers" it ends up freezing and I can't go up or down. Made it difficult in the drive thru when I was trying to get back to an offer in order to give them the code but couldn't get the app to move ... the extra minute or so that the people behind me had to wait was kinda awkward while I restarted the app and it still froze so I just chose an offer that was showing.
This used to be a great app, but lately it's very broken. The main reason for using the app is the coupons, but whenever I try to use a cupon in a mobile order now, I just get a message saying the items in my cart are unavailable from my selected store. It makes the cupon section totally unusable, which is much worse than just not having it there in the first place.
So I hate to leave a negative review but I been using this app for a year plus now and recently the app has gone down the drain in terms of value. They raised prices and gotten rid of coupons. Whopper wends for instance makes no sense if it doesn't save you money and limits your order. And if you have a issue they now give you a coupon off but you can only use one coupon and what they really should have done was refund part of my order. There's more to say but I am limited be the text limit.
The app usually works, but it seems to get updated often. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it seems like I'm usually in a hurry when it decides it's going to do it and I happen to be going to BK. I can not give this a higher rating until dipping cups are added to their own separate category, or are in the very least added to fries and onion rings. Zesty sauce was released specifically for the onion rings originally and I have no way to order it for delivery unless I also buy nugget
Old version much easier to use. Now I have to scroll aimlessly through each item individualizing my combo meal and in the end, still not have the option to use the codes to get my deal at the restaurant I used to have....not much of an improvement. Also hangs up regularly resulting in delays and after several attempts, just gave up and went to another vendor who's app worked.....this review used to be 5 stars.
Love the app, all the amazing offers and rewards. Only thing that bothers me is there's no option to add sauces on their own. I can't just add a ranch or honey mustard and instead have to ask at the window. That seems like an easy fix. Just add an option for extra sauces under "sides"
The app is serviceable but it is frustrating that the drink menu does not even remotely accurately reflect the actual drinks available. Makes for an awkward encounter at the restaurant when they tell me for the 30th time they don't have sprite zero, then I go "yeah I know I'll take lemonade instead (which isn't on the menu, but they have it!)." Also the deals are sometimes good but oftentimes not very enticing for me.
The loyalty upgrades in this app usually don't work, which is frustrating. I think they want you to just give up and pay more. Feels scummy. Also, the app will sometimes change your order, which kind of removes the convenience factor since you have to triple check your food when you pick it up.
Hadn't experienced such a problem so far in any restaurant app. I ordered through the app, paid, was given an order number, waited at the restaurant, and found out that the order is not there. At the restaurant I was offered to wait indefinitely so maybe my order comes through! I just have to remember to dispute the credit charge and not to use this app again 😕
Deals in the app are nice like BOGO Whopper. App is still buggy. Code disappears only a short time in line and you have to start over again to get another code. Ordering from the app for pickup rarely works. They never get the order at the restaurant through the app. You always have to show them the order number and they run around trying to pull up the order. McD app works a lot better. They have a scanner and can scan your phone.
Updated Review 4/22: Sooooo Decided to take my last $10 the night before paycheck posts and order a shake for my elderly mother and myself. Drive to BK to find a sign "We are closed, short staffed". I get it. Stuff happens. They had no...cook... For my two shakes and Hershey Pie. Then, I can't CANCEL MY ORDER without contacting support; that will take 3-5 days to get my money back. They did a $5 promo for the trouble...that wasn't there either. Too bad. Was the best fast food app. Can't STAND getting ripped by bib companies. Original Review 3/21: Ok. This app has improved over time. With the recent rewards addition, it's the best fast food app imo. Customer service is better than expected. Is it perfect? No. It's definitely the best though. If it crashes or you're having issues, just uninstall and reinstall. A pain, but better than it not working.
Not user friendly. The main purpose for using the app is to order my sandwich the way I need. For gluten allergens, or low carb diets, you can't request no bun! You can adjust almost every condiment or veggie, but you can't remove the most obvious thing! Fix this, and I will change my star rating.
Clunky, crashes often, "deals" not accepted. First off, there is no comparison between the BK app and the McDonald's one. McDonald's wins, hands down, despite occasional crashes. The BK app: -Often freezes, requiring a restart -Entering a credit card took over 2 minutes as you have to wait a few seconds after inputting each number, or it just adds a blank space and you have to try again -the so called "deals" (ie. Free sandwich with first purchase) weren't accepted at either of the BKs nearby
This is a great app, but for one thing; the deals are NOT available for deliveries! How is it that I have to go to the restaurant myself in order to be able to take advantage of a deal?! AND, WHY aren't Double HAMburgers available in the app?; I also cannot add an extra patty to the Hamburger or subtract cheese from the Cheeseburger! Minus two stars for BK's failure to make things more convenient, especially for those of us without vehicles!!!
Prices not same as at restaurant. Can't get same deals as at restaurant. Can only get 1 so called deal when you can go to restaurant and order as many as you want. Number of Crowns needed are too high for items they get you. App does not flow well to allow you to order efficiently and quickly. They are lucky I prefer their food or I would ditch this restaurant.
Horrible slow, clunky, poorly organized, freeze-prone (four times in 20 minutes), BUGGY app. And it has been for a long time, so if constant updates are really going on as they claim, the people making them need more or better training, and then to START OVER. Don't try to fix this app, DITCH IT and build a new one.
Wish I can put 0 stars because even if the app has decent offers. I tried ordering through the app it keeps saying the card info is wrong but isn't, but still charged my card. Tried with PayPal and Google pay still charged but doesn't work then after I tried those 2 a pop up text shows afterwards that those 2 payment methods are not available even though they charged me. Only noticed the charges after I was sending money to a friend.
This app is ok but the reason I rated it 3/5 is that most apps don't block the breakfast menu or lunch / dinner depending on meal times... this app does block you from seeing the breakfast menu when you are trying to plan for breakfast the night before. Otherwise the app works well and it would be nice to see options for sauces on fries, onion rings, etc. like the Chik FIL A app does.
The app is always slow. It takes longer than average times to load different sections of the app. Some of the time I just get error messages. This has happened with different phones and on mobile or wifi.
Constantly claims every restaurant is unavailable at checkout. This happened suddenly a few days ago and has not stopped since. System has been updated, app is up to date, I've tried checking out in multiple restaurants, and I have a good connection. Cannot use offers in store either. Basically, the app is completely non-functional.
