Had been using this app for a few years and it was great. The recent change to the interface is confusing and harder to navigate. Just to get to one number if you have multiple numbers working requires too many clicks. I haven't had the connection issues others have had but I definitely am not fond of the new GUI. Why the change in the first place?
Good app but the multiple subscription service doesn't work at all and I don't know why. I can only use one number. Also, I would love a function to search as well. It's gotten a little bit better but got the love of everything holy, make the red and black background have WHITE TEXT.
I love this app (premium user over 1 year), and overall very pleased. I still have a problem w texts: the 1st msg comes thru with sound but the 2nd, 3rd make NO sound. Missed important SMS for car help b/c 2nd text came w NO SOUND. Using LG V30, Android9. Help ! NOTE: the trial period is FULLY DISCLOSED! I wish ppl would read it and stop whining.
I'm disappointed. there's no way to use call forwarding even tho you have a settings option for it, you can't video chat, you can't even send/receive video texts, and there's no option to have 2 lines - it's only 1 or 3...why? so in all honesty, so cares if you gave the app a "new look"? and btw, it looks the same 🤷🏻♀️. the developers should be more concerned about the lack of functionality.
App was good. With recent updates it has gotten slow and phone calls/texts don't work as expected. Now all of the sudden the app just crashes immediately during startup on Pixel 6. Good thing gone bad.
I'm writing this review after paying and using this app for more than 3 years, on different devices: The only way to answer to calls, is to be connected on cellular network only (no wifi) and the app open in foreground. Otherwise, the app will just make the phone vibrate forever, without having the ability to answer, and at other times, you can press the answer button but the app just freezes and doesn't open the call. This has been going on for 3 years, same bug, multiple devices.
I love the app! But I really don't like the new logo I miss the cool orange phone with fire. The whole Burner concept is really cool and unique. I would love a chance to talk with the marketing team about fixing that back to how it was.
Love this app. Can use your own sim card instead of only being able to use with wifi. I use this every single day so its worth spending $45 yearly (3.75 a month), so its very good deal. Since i text/call about 20-30 people every day because of my food delivery job! I stay anonymous.
Best throwaway number app let's you create 3 numbers with the paid plan on the fly. Not that great of texting experience however.. the messages don't last long and it's a pain. This would be perfect literally in every way if you guys bring back the forwarding functionality. If there was a way to create throwaway numbers for signing up for quotes and whatnot (like sms version of SimpleLogin.io !) Would be perfect 5 stars without a doubt!!
The app won't let me make any calls even with good connection to internet. It says request limit reached and I have credits on the account I don't understand why it's not working.
The first step is to add a phone number. Where is the privacy. No explanation as to why they need it, if they store it, sell it, etc. I recommend not even signing up. I'm tired of having my information sold online 😒
I've used this app for 10 months. When I replaced my smartphone, my Burner contacts disappeared. I went back through some emails to find lost numbers. When I went to enter these, the app says the number is already saved. Tech support halfheartedly tried to resolve the problem over email, but they gave up. They just tell me to uninstall/reinstalled and I've done that every time I've called tech support. I bought a year contract and absolutely WILL NOT renew it. KEEP LOOKING. YOU DONT WANT BURNER
Do not make a Major announcement( days ago) without being ready to published updated app. Not a good look! Updated app up and running on IOS. Also IOS is updated more frequently than Android. I have been using app for years, it's okay! New version, let's see, if it is a game changer! In regard to UI, improve notifications, voice clarity, and privacy.
All available numbers show as landlines. Verizon warns me I am texting landlines and almost all online phone carrier lookup tools report the numbers as landlines as well. Tried to create a Google account and all numbers show as not compatible for verification. Absolutely worthless. Reached out to support as the helpful review-reply robot suggested, turns out this can't be fixed.
Been using this service for years!!!! Still among the absolute best there is. I understand that they're about to introduce the ability to have more than three subscription lines which is phenomenal and long overdue. Update 5/3/22: This app is STILL the VERY best anonymous calling app there is! Hands down. 🔥🔥🔥
Horrific! I just transferred the app to my new phone and lost all my text conversations. So many pictures, so many people, all gone. It only shows me numbers for the past 24 hours.
Provided credit card information for free trial in order to receive text messages at a new number. Two texts were sent to this number and neither were received within half an hour. Cancelled through Google Play, deleted the app. Then over the next hour I received three spam calls from the number. Simple waste of my time.
Was the most amazing app used for years now its trash.. honestly am sick to my stomach they've got so much money out of me and double charge. Not even 1 star now
If you want an app that seamlessly acts like a real phone number, look elsewhere. It's pretty mediocre. Sometimes the app says calls are coming it and get missed, but my phone doesn't actually ring. Sometimes messages get delayed by hours or don't go through at all.
This app is useless garbage. Every call I've ever tried to make results in "We encountered an error during the call. please try again later" after one ring, and after paying to get a line setup. Don't waste your time.
I can not receive any calls they all go to voice-mail. I Uninstalled it and put it back. I have an android phone.
Got a new number and will test if it works. The app needs fingerprint unlock. | The number it gave me is registered as a landline and it won't accept texts. I tried from multiple phones. Half the time it can't text out to those numbers either.
it's quick and convenient. Doesn't cost alot and functions without problem
It was horrible to set up, and then I would often miss incoming calls. Notifications didn't always work, either. I'd like to cancel my subscription but I cant figure out how.
Very basic. A lot of problems with notifications. Delayed, repeated, won't dismiss, and very little customization.
Imagine you need to send a text to a phone number because you don't have a cell number and the solution this app provides REQUIRES A CELLPHONE NUMBER YO CONTINUE. Honestly, that has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Might as well need ID to obtain ID.
Greatest creation EVER! This app is more amazing than anything in the history of mankind!.. Of course I'm kidding 😂 but it is a very cool app.
It's alright. I've been using the app for years and still have problems with scrolling up through my old messages. I wish they didn't change the burner icon and chat backgrounds recently. The old colour options were great. Now when you read messages, you as the sender shows up as white while the recipient is in colour. It's not a good switch and is confusing.
