Burpple - Find Good Food

I have used Burrple Beyond for awhile and loved the old UI. However, the new UI is a pain to use, especially when viewing Burrple Beyond deals via map view. I was able to view all the offers at one go, but in the new UI, I have to manually zoom in and search. It's very difficult to find deals now.

Prefer the old UI, feels like there are no animations at all in the redesign. Also the zoom behaviour for the new map UI is weird, rather than zooming into the centre between your 2 fingers it seems to zoom into the top finger instead which makes it very awkward and jarring.

This is the first time im rating an app because I really felt the need to. The new update and UI is so slow and laggy. The old UI is so much better and faster. It's such a pain to browse through the deals now. Please fix it or revert back to the old UI.

Everything was good until the new update. Unable to login using Google AT ALL. Had to use a friend's phone just to redeem...... Other than that, the premium/beyond has helped me to save a lot of money when eating out and, I've explored quite a number of new places too. Please check into the new updated. I can't use it nor can I check the app if I cant even login.....

The new update was quite laggy. Have been using Burpple for a very long time and signed for the premium member.

Generally a great variety of deals and kudos to the team for pulling through a tough few years during the pandemic. One recent observation noticed is the lack of updates to the individual deals. I've been to both Tap and Smile Dessert only to realize the 1-for-1 had other T&Cs not stated in the app. Requests have been put in to make those changes but were not reflected.

Unable to log in using facebook after latest update.

Would rate lower if possible. Was given beyond as a gift. You are forced to add a credit card during registration and auto-renewal is enabled by default. New users would not know this. And i recently got charged for it. Customer service just gives templated responses and are inflexible, hiding behind the "non-refundable" policy. Bad experience. In this pandemic, deals aren't that great as well

1. The search function is horrible. It's very hard to narrow down search. 2. I went to at least 3-4 places where burpple user are given a separate menu with the price doubled. 3. One restaurant charge me a weekend surcharge and the surcharge Is not made obvious until I click on the deal itself (which is usually done by the staff upon redemption). As NONE of the places I've visited so far have such surcharge, it's ridiculous how it's not made more visible to the users upfront. Terrible exp!!!

Burpple Beyond is great for people who eat out a lot and it has allowed us to try many new restaurants at an affordable price. The app interface is simple to navigate and it is useful to see reviews alongside with beyond deals. Love the app and subscription! My only complaint is that I signed up before 30 June 2019 and right after that, quite a few restaurants/ cafes that I was keen to try were pulled off the beyond list. Hope the team can continue to add new places for beyond deal!

Many restaurants for deals, variety is decent. Also really handy to be able to see reviews of the place and the available deals all in 1 app! But there are some loading issues once in a while. And now it seems I cant view the menu for many restaurants - getting an error message. Which is sad as seeing the menu was what made this app better for me than similar apps

New UI is horrible and VERY laggy.

On several occasions, i have not been able to apply the promo because of app issues. This has resulted in paying of full prices and there is nothing the restaurant can do to prove that im a member. Thought it was a app update issue but it wasnt the case. Even went to another spot to try in case if was a connection issue but it wasnt either.

Why downgrade the UI? Now the app looks worse and doesnt even load properly

Since late 2021/2022, the quality of burpple beyond deals has gone downhill and it's generally bad. What used to be 1 for 1 mains at good restaurants are now mostly either 1 for 1 beverages, 20% off, or turned into set meals that are not worth the money if you do the calculations. I regretted renewing my membership. It seems that the burpple team isn't working hard enough to solicit better deals for their members. It's no longer worth paying $69/99 for burpple beyond. 😒

Hate it that it's difficult or rather almost impossible to submit a review by gallery and you have to take the photo(s) on the spot! The food can't wait and the humans certainly can't wait further! Tried too many times and ended up not submitting any reviews. Number 1 user unfriendly foodie app in my opinion...

It's a useful app, and Beyond is great for stretching my dollars but... the app needs to stop bugging me with notifications to sign up for Beyond when I already have it and am logged in. I wouldn't mind notifications if it's telling me that there are 5 new restaurants added to Beyond, but the constant "reminders" to sign up for Beyond is confusing and annoying.

Got the burpple beyond subscription, and it's very disappointing. Went into a shop which they gave us a menu. Went I asked about using burpple deal, they gave me an alternate menu, where the prices were doubled. I basically ended up paying the same with or without the subscription

Disgusting app. Scamms, all the beyond deals feels like they are just helping those unpopular restaurants. A lot of conditions to meet one. Dont be a beyond, I rather use Fave that's free and have more deals. Auto renewal for me, BIG SCAM! For e.g, i visited this place that sells Don for $15 a bowl. So using the app, i will expect 1 for 1, $15 for 2 bowl right? But NO! They charge us $25 in the "1 for 1" coupon, so i only save $5 and the app still have the audacity to state that I save $15.

Very annoying notifications that keep pop up. Signed up and created account, and then without my permission "following" 40+ members. Very unethic way. Can't find any setting to stop push notifications at all.

The choices of restaurants are some times great and some times not so great. There are more places to choice from in CBD area, not so much in the East where I live. Pricing and restriction are relatively reasonable. Not a fan of steamboat places as it is usually 1 for 1 per dish and not 1 for 1 per person buffet so that's disappointing. Some restaurant services can be mediocre and not worth the money spent even with the discount especially unheard ones. Generally a good app altogether.

Excellent membership program. More deals than The Entertainer I think (I have both but I use burpple more). Apparently I saved enough to buy a plane ticket (~1.2k in lifetime savings). Some resturants have "burpple set" and doesn't do much savings. Membership promotion comes quite often. Will recommend regardless.

Have been using Burpple Beyond for close to 2 years and enjoyed the deals. Easy to use and the app has added new features overtime. However the menu cant be loaded recently and returns an error message.

Such a useful app for creatures of habit looking to explore more dining places! This helped us to expand our dining options AND our wallets. Stable app, too - haven't experienced much technical difficulties.

Switched to Burpple Beyond from Entertainer two years ago and now im thinking of switching back... I used to love BB because: - it saved me lots of money - i got to try out interesting restaurants other than my usual favourites But now: - many partners offering good food and good deals have left - some restaurants have a bunch of restrictions - "burpple sets" which are actually not really cheaper - remaining deals like 1-for-1 curry don at Sakae Sushi are really lame

Not worth the money esp if u hav the free entertainer app by hsbc. Many deals are for desserts and some 1 for 1 deals are only for dinner 4 course sets. Even for steamboat, the 1 for 1 is based on per food item eg fish, pork, instead of the entire steamboat set. Very disappointing.

The app is constantly expanding with various shops and resturant! The one for one deal is pretty worth it and there are a wide variety of selection to go about, and most of the cafe 1 for 1 are of great deal!
