They have REMOVED the ability of a bus trip planning app to select the departure or arrival time. That makes the whole "planning a trip" part of the app a lot less useful. As it is, it appears that this app is now only good for planning a trip right as you're about to leave the door. I have no earthly idea why that core functionality has been removed, but it ruins the app for me.

TERRIBLE since the 05/15/19 update! things not saving properly under favourites, bus routes shown as late/not running when its the opposite, VERY hard to use on the go; used to be seamless but they added a bunch of features that aren't an improvement from the last version. Used to be my go-to transit app, but ya lost me! please make the app more user friendly! 01/02/2020 -no longer shows bus times for certain routes; just says they aren't available. Not sure it was possible, but the app is worse

Crashing on map update. I thought that was fixed in January :-) Otherwise great app, should be filled with disclaimers because of poor data. OCTranspo buses seem to turn GPS on or off randomly, disappear and re-appear, come when none scheduled/GPS, etc... In our morning rush hour experience over two years, the system is wrong for 10% of the buses in fall/spring and 20-30% of the buses in winter, and 50% of buses in the two weeks before/after Christmas. Good way to encourage driving or cycling :-)

I used this app everyday before COVID. I like the interface - it's very convenient to see multiple bus arrival times at the same time, and the ads are unobtrusive. Unfortunately, now the app hangs on the "Initializing......" screen when starting up, even after clearing data and reinstalling the app. 5 star app after the problem is fixed.

New version automatically replaced old version on my phone. Not impressed ... I'd like to have a choice and not have it update without me approving the change on my phone first. New version either very slow or crashes constantly. Not user friendly like previous version. Frustrating due to slowness ... Keep getting a message that app and s not responding.

I've been using busbuddy for years with no issues. As of today, though, my app suddenly stopped working. The error message says "BusBuddy has stopped" or "BusBuddy keeps stopping", and it won't even reach the home screen. Please fix this! I have tried updating the app and restarting my phone, but to no avail.

I use to like this app but since the last update (or thereabouts) it's become unreliable. The GPS data often doesn't show for my stops or is often incorrect (says buses are showing one minute and then it disappears the next). It's not always wrong but often enough to make the app useless.

Favorite sometime disapear and have to go back and re add them....////tried different buss apps and i find this is the most accurate because it let you know if a buss is pass it time and gives a bit of a buffer if gps and tell if it late. i really wish oc transpo would invest in this app to help out. the app can take time to get use to but you can save rought and custome name them. i wish there was an option to pay to get rid of ads but they tuck away at the bottom and does let you report them.

After the update, nothing worked. My favourited routes and stops had been removed, and no buttons worked at all. The app would just load and nothing would operate. I uninstalled and reinstalled in which seemed to fix it, but I'm not sure why the update caused such a problem.

I would like to see the previous version returned. it was easy to use and informative. The planner ln the new version is awkward and difficult to read. It only gives trips for the moment. The previous version wa more detailed indicating the appropriate stop name etc.

I thought the logo looked a little goofy but thr updated UI is stellar. loads faster, looks cleaner, works better, and the updated map is awesome. My only gripe is that you can't turn off the automatic updating when you're in the stop. Otherwise, great update.

Some of the fonts are very smudgy and difficult to go through. Definitely would recommend tidying it up. The colours are atrocious, and it needs a bit of a paint job, as it were. Looks like it's from the 70's. Aside from that, it works well enough; better than others I have tried.

GPS shows the bus on a map, which is nice. User interface is easy to navigate and looks good. Favorites are easy to use. Trip planned simply opens Google maps, so could be improved, but still gets five stars.

Since the big update the GPS rarely works. How a bus can go from being 1 minute away to just vanishing is beyond me. And that's if the GPS actually shows. Every morning for the last 2 weeks, no GPS. When it's cloudy out, I can understand. When it's nothing but blue skies as clear as can, what's the excuse for that? All this app is used for now is to see the scheduled times. No clue if the bus is on time, early, late or just not there. EDIT: Doesn't work at all now for one of my routes.

Great app. But be careful from GPS based bus time. The app gets it from transport agencies, so I've been missing buses and taking cabs because of them, not the app itself. I also use multiple apps to double check schedules and arrival times.

New update is a mess! not showing my favorite stops properly now, and looking at individual stop times is an overwhelming pile of too much information. Older version was not beautiful but very functional. Regretting the update.

Latest update is just terrible. sure, it looks fancy, but there's too much unnecessary info on the screen - I just want to know when my bus will arrive SIMPLE, didn't need any new "features ". this was my most used app - now will delete.

not happy about the changes to the trip planner portion of the app. it was very helpful to be able to plan for a trip later on instead of just seeing current available buses on google maps.

The app itself is fine, what's frustrating is that with the latest update the pop up where you select which bus you want is white, and so is the bus name. Makes it kind of difficult to quickly select the right bus.

Bus schedules are rarely reliable. Ive lost so many buses using this app due to incorrect bus times. To anyone downloading - take the scheduled times only as mere suggestions. This app is the transit equivalent of Russian roulette.

This Bus Buddy was problem free for a long time until Monday, September 6, 2021 until it started crashing when you no sooner open it! I even did some troubleshooting to try to resolve the problem, but to no avail!!!😠

The app doesn't seem to work after the update. The tabs don't work and nothing displays on the main page. You can't use the app at all. It's disappointing because I really liked the app before the update.
