Business Card Scanner by Covve

The OCR is excellent, very few misses. Much better than a few expensive apps. There is also a handy cropping tool. I tested with 10 cards. I find he pricing ok and I would be willing to buy it. But I am not keeping the app. I could not figure out a way to sort the cards. They are shown in the order scanned and that is it. I cannot order alphabetically by name or company for instance (but also the current date of input). I thought that this would be the bare minimum to expect. Note that there is a search engine there but it is not an alternative.

It is absolutely great app for me. After the exhibition, having few hundreds of business cards on hand. It was easily to scan those business cards, with the tags, to classify in different categories, then export it in excel.. If the tag can be defined at the beginning, it would be great, i don't need to work on excel a bit. However it made my work much less. Oh.. We have developed our own free app, i know how much i need to invest in it to have a good app. It is worth to pay your app.

This app seems to be useful. Take a picture, it stores the info on your phone and you can export the contacts. Exactly what I wanted. HOWEVER, it would have been nice to know upfront that it will cost you after 10 scans. That seems underhanded to me so only 3 stars

so far so good. picking up accurate info from even tricky cards so far. I do wish it had a way to clarify which phone numbers are mobile, office, or fax. other than that pretty good.

I like this app quite a bit but can't use it because your pricing is just nuts. I always opt for lifetime purchase, but $60.00? I'd pay $14.99 or so, that's what it's worth. You're crazy. It's just a card scanner.

Heading to a conference this will be extremely help. Except when I go to share a contact the app is crashing. Do I need a 2nd app to share? Is there away to share my card with others? I saw you had other apps, wasn't sure the difference.

Good. All of you whining like Ashley should not expect everything to be free. Someone learned to program and design apps, and should be paid for it.

Works pretty not bad! However, while it allows a photo of the reverse side, does not scan and add the information. Does not allow you to add multiple numbers. If it does not detect them correctly, you're stuck with what you get. Also, and this is the deal-breaker, LIMITED NUMBER OF SCANS then nothing. Technically this app is a limited use sampler. Pretty tight.

I have been using OCR software of various makes for over a decade. This App beats them all in accuracy. In the trial version I subjected it to a rigorous test by trying different types of cards: Landscape, Portrait, inverted print - white on black background, bi-lingual, numbers on a curve. This app read them all. Also in most cases the data was correctly entered in the phone book. I will be happy to upgrade to premium, if I am assured that there will be no extra charges for future upgrades.

I went with the trial and almost immediately decided to subscribe to the lifetime sub. I'm impressed with the accuracy of the app as well as the way the information can be saved to my phone contacts. My only criticism is that, unless I'm mistaken, it cannot handle 2 sided printed cards which then means some manual input. It would also be great if the card backup could be made to, for example, One Drive or Dropbox, or even on the phone itself. Fantastic app and well worth the money.

WOW! I was genuinely surprised. Wasn't expecting that short of speed and accuracy. I also definitely didn't expect it to recognize characters with umlaut (e.g. ä) as most card scanners only recognize English, and only some allow you to download more languages. -1 ⭐ because there is no way to import cards from the gallery! So if you take a picture with your phone's normal camera (which is often faster because you can wake it up from the lock screen on most phones), you're out of luck!

Works but scams you a little. There is a limit of only ten cards in the free version and after you have invested the time to add them, you can either pay a huge sum (some 13pounds plus) or just get stuck, as you cannot even delete what you scanned. I hate the fact that they do this, and on principle moving on to something else from the mirror of alternatives.

The app is good; however, there needs to be a way to scan vertical cards so that the image it saves is vertical. The algorithm to load the info from the cards is a little faulty and I found myself having to modify a lot of the entries. The lifetime $60.00 unlimited sub seems a little expensive. Other than that, not too bad. Might consider lifetime sub if improvements made. For now just did the 8.99 for 50 scans.

The scanning is pretty accurate even with German language. Only thing which is really not a good solution is the contact save feature. It does not check if a similar contact is already present so you cannot just update / merge it always creates new entries. I wish there would be a merge / complete feature instead.

so far so good. I have 100% used the app. but it converts the cards nicely into phone or holding into app like a photo album for. business cards !

Pretty good business card scanner app... Still lacks some must haves for business. No export to Outlook or Gmail (natively) also can't save the back image of the business card (some business cards have info on both sides that should be able to be captured if desired). Backup to cloud option needs to be added (MS OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.) Export to CSV is nice if it were still 1990 for backups. Import from pictures is also a missing feature (business events is common for this need)

The app just doesn't work. I used up my free scans trying to get it to work. Everytime I scan a card it accurately writes down the entire contents of the card in the address field. If I have to erase the name from the address field and retype it, then remove the phone number from the address field and retype it, and finally erase the job title from the address field then it is useless. I could manually type in a contact faster.

Excellent app! The OCR capabilities in this app are amazing!!! I have scanned a few businesses cards just to test it out and it picked up everything. Plus the most amazing thing about this app is that it will allow you to save the contact info in your Google contacts!!!! That is a win win in my book. Happy scanning

Love the app! Contemplating purchase 🤔 of upgrades. Tried several other apps, although not perfect, it's much better than those I've tried. I have a problem with the price structure, though; it's not favorable for infrequent users!

Opportunities for improvement: 1. Content of reverse side of the card is not included/read. 2. I have not figured out the way to add additional info, such as private cell to the card field after scanning, unless I write it on the card very legibly... 3. Program does not discern between fax/phone/cell or ISO9001 #s... 4. Program does not know, how to handle 2 addresses on one card.5. you can export data to your phone and Excel, but it exports it strangely and does not combine with existing data.

I especially like that you have control over which cards get added to your contacts. Some yes, some no, but it's up to you. Either way you always have easy access to the cardfile. Excellent OCR. This app is good at finding names on busy cards. Fair pricing for 50 or unlimited cards. I didn't need more than 50, so I liked having two tier pricing.
