Business Class Email (BCE)

The Cisco Business Class Email (BCE) application helps encrypt your email and provides enhanced security features. To use the BCE application to open a secure email that you received in the Android email application, touch and hold the attached securedoc.html file, then select “Open in Cisco BCE.”NOTE: To send an encrypted email, the Cisco BCE application requires access to the Cisco Registered Envelope Service or Cisco IronPort Encryption Appliance.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Cisco BCE provides enhanced email security features such as read receipts, email recall, email expiration, and forward/reply control. Additionally, BCE removes the complexity of encryption and key management, so users can send and receive highly secure messages directly from their mobile devices. The primary benefits of the Cisco BCE application are:
• Confidentiality: BCE encrypts email to protect its confidentiality during transit.
• Encrypted email control: You have complete control over the emails you send, even after they are sent. The capabilities are:
• Read receipt: Sends a read receipt when the recipient opens an email.
• Email locking (enhanced recall): Gives you the ability to lock the decryption key, disabling decryption for that email.
• Email expiration: Sets an expiration date for the email.
• Forward/reply control: Allows or prevents the recipient to forward, reply, or reply all. To maintain the security of your replies, you cannot change the list of recipients.
If you are an end user and have any concerns, please contact your organization’s support department. If you are a system administrator having difficulty configuring or using the application, please contact your designated Cisco support point of contact. What’s New
• Selection of the recipient’s language: You can now select the recipient’s language for Registered Envelopes. This new option enables the application to determine which language is used for the message body, according to the locale set for recipients.

Completely unworking garbage, no matter what mobile device/android OS version I've tried. And the error message is a completely useless two words: "request failed". I never have a problem opening these secured messages with my password on ANY browser on my PC, but have only ever gotten it to work on my phone or tablet... ONCE. Well over a year ago. Multiple devices with multiple OS versions ALL FAILING. The level of incompetance/uncaring here is abso-frigging-lutely unbelievable...

More IT nonsense,"security" being defined as keeping the user from routine functions. True Cisco junk. Even if it is "free", it costs too much in frustration to use. Why people hate computers and "IT" systems.

Without a doubt the worst app I have ever tried to use. I have deleted and reinstalled numerous times, never worked. Always get the message the app has crashed would you like to restart. Truly trash

Complicated beyond reason...not updated since 2017. Requires technical information to set up an account. Tutorial is lengthy and unhelpful. I have spend 25 minutes trying to retrieve a work related email and still cannot open it.

Corporate software at its worst

This app is worthless. It crashes all the time, can't send secure emails (it crashes before it does) and can't receive emails either. You have to set up the account on a computer, and if you're super lucky and try for hours you can maybe open a secure message on it. Don't bother trying to email anything with it though, you can't. I'm honestly confused how anyone can rate it above 1 star.

Please do not use this app to write to me. Someone tried to send me a message, and I wasted more than an hour trying to open it. I received only contradictory errors. I had to reply to the sender explaining that I had not received the contents of the message. I would not ordinarily complain about a "free" app, but I do not want to waste more time trying to open messages that anyone else might send this way. I suspect also the purportedly "secure" feature might be as bug-infested as the contradictory error messages that prevented me from opening the message. If you must use a "secure" message, please use open source security such as PGP.

Hate this app! Have to uninstall and reinstall at least 10 times a week to get it to work. Bad thing is a very important account that brings me about $7k a month in revenue insists that we use it so I guess I'm stuck with it.

It dosent work. I followed instructions and the document won't open. Had to make an unnecessary trip. Uninstalling now

Crashes incessantly on an Android pixel phone. Was unable to send an email before the app crashed despite many attempts. Doesn't seem ready for primetime.

Does not work. Can't log in and when opening email in Yahoo mail says can not find app to open file.

This stupid app is useless. It doesn't open encrypted messages, it only causes frustration.

Just starts ave then exits. Tried to add an account that works from pc and it fails. Just awful. Be ashamed cisco for putting this out

It won't even let me log in with my user ID and password. Keeps saying invalid. This app is useless.

Literally did not work from the first use, even with all the steps you have to take just to use the "app". Wouldnt recommend it if you actually want to read your emails.

Not sure what the problem is. I set up my account on desktop and once that was done all I had to do was click the attachment, open using this app, select my email from the drop-down if it was sent to more than one person, then type the password I set up on desktop. Worked just fine...

Trying every email i have to log in and all say my password is wrong. I cant even use my exchange server (that is Cisco run) to log is

Keeps stopping. Even without the frequent crashes, it still takes longer to deal with the app than it does to read the encrypted document.

Was good about a year ago. Installed it to see medical appointments for my son now it won't even open. Continually crashes. Please fix

I always hace a hassle trying to use this app. Changing passwords app stopping, and many more issues. Do not install this app it will just make things harder

Dav. O. May 11, 2017

Interesting never know why its needed but cool I wouldn't use it more than I was only courted into using it, though. I do care about my privacy and of my peer

Bra. H. Aug 3, 2017

defaults to google mail, won't let you change settings and if you try doest work. Not even close to adequate help file

Roy. P. Jun 19, 2018

Cannot get anything that I want. I need access and the last 6 month bank statement. Very irritating and time wating!

A. G. u. Aug 4, 2018

It seems this app steals password. Why does it ask for email password? Why does it try to log into your email account immediately after you enter the password? Very unclear instruction and very complicated product that's not at all tested well.

Zhe. Z. Apr 16, 2018

Spent more than one hour to open an email from my colleague. Still couldn't figure it out.

Amb. Z. Jun 4, 2018

Poorly designed. I use it every two weeks to receive emails from my doctor, and every two weeks like clockwork, I have to uninstall and re-install, because it refuses to open the email, or even process the request. No two words were ever so irritating as "Request Failed".
