Poorly marketed app. App showing me to subscribe to read articles which are easily accessible on the insider website. In a time where every other app is asking for accounts and log-ins i would happily stick to the website and FB. Am a long time insider follower.. Will remain as the quality os content is still superb. But am gonna un install the app right now.
My service is terrible and I can't believe in paying for it. I can't even thr app anymore and when I was in. It said I wasn't subscribed to the articles after I completed my purchase. I will be unsubscribing and Uninstalling the app, as they are both useless.
YOU WILL BE STUCK I tried the trial but was not really impressed. Fliboard is free and has better scope... I went to cancel my subscription and you literally cant! Selecting Subscription on the app opens you up to picking a new subscription on the web, trying the same on the web is impossible. You can't even log out!
Everytime I click on an article or try to search for one it keeps crashing. When the off chance it doesnt any article I try to find that they had weeks ago can not be found.
Stories are broken up into many sections so the 4 free articals are gone in a second! Uninstall total waste of time
So far I really like the app, all relevant news easily readable with the option to summerize each article so only key points are displayed. The option to search for specific articles is very user friendly, and the ability to save important articles makes it a breeze to refer back to. Not too flashy, with key information and simple usability. Keep up the good work!
The app gives you a news notice, lets you read it for about two seconds, then tells you the article is unavailable. The app developers also don't know how to manage image caching, and my phone fills up with gigabytes of image previews for old news that I don't even look at anymore. This is absolutely the worst news app I've ever used. If an article is published and you receive a push notification, the article shouldn't disappear when you try to read it.
It doesn't even open on my Samsung F62 phone and I have taken premium subscription and it was total waste.
I loaded to read article posted on Google to start the 💩 show The article that got me to load their cr💩ppy app was NO WHERE to be found nor was anything about the people I was interested in FUNNY CLICKER BAITER 🔭👀 Where to start on how poorly run this app is I uninstalled w/ in 10 mins if that is any indication▪︎ Buyer beware you're allowed like 5 free articles THEN 🪤🐍 they hit you for the bang💰 bang💰 There's other NEWS apps that are better quality & integrity HAVE A BLESSED DAY 💚💚💚
App is garbage and Google Play subscriptions don't work on website. I like BI's content. I subscribed through the Google Play store for convenience. When I am in the app, it shows I have an active subscription. However, when I log in online it shows that I do not have any subscription at all. Even worse, sometimes (randomly? inexplicably?) the app opens an in-app web browser and loads the website article, which, again, I can't access. Also the app cuts off almost every headline.
This app just bought a ticket off my phone. Nuisance notifications only to hit a paywall.
The content is pretty good, but the app is terrible. First, content is not properly refreshed in the app forcing manual refreshes. Second, clicking on notifications almost always results in an error that the article is not available despite the fact that you can find the same article by scrolling the feed...usually after manually refreshing the feed.
If you switch to another app, then switch back, the article you were reading will disappear. This makes the app completely useless. I am a paid subscriber.
I love Business Insider's content; however, the app can be better designed. 1. The night mode uses blue hyperlinks which are very difficult to read. I often finding myself switching between the night and the day modes just to read the hyperlinked texts. 2. The app lags on articles that contain many pictures and ads. My phone struggles the more I scroll down in such articles. Phone: Samsung Galaxy S8
I paid more than $50 for this app and it won't load. Customer service is non-existsnt. No phone number and have go pay a third party for service. Hope I can get my money back.
Poor app experience. I'll get notifications for articles and then when you click on them, the article loads for a few seconds and then you get a message this article is no longer available. I'm going to assume they aren't actually recalling every article they write and it's just a bad app. Good luck trying to use the search feature to find the article
Worst experience from the past six months. The app interface changes often and sometimes it shows half baked news. In addition to all of this, I can find a lot of grammatical and spelling errors in the articles. I am giving one star not for the news but the way you are presenting them.
Same issues everyone else is reporting: app can't seem to recognize my subscription. Ill get a news alert, click it, and almost immediately be asked to sign in. Once go through the sign in process, I'm taken the the home page and not the article I was just in. Search function for the article doesn't work either. Super frustrating. I've tried Uninstaller and reinstalling and still experience the same issues. Super frustrating as I'm paying $100 for the BI content and can't easily access it.
The news is good but the app experience is bad. I cannot believe there is no option for Dark Mode nor does it support landscape viewing. Not supporting landscape viewing renders the app useless for me on my tablet. I don't use my tablet in portrait mode. Please fix or I will not renew my annual subscription that I just signed up for today. I should have checked on the app first!
Immediately crashes when I try to open it.
One of my favorites. Read it daily. Great interface and great content. Worth the paid subscription. Recommended.
Worthless app. I have signed up with gmail for their prime membership through browser and it feels like an impossible task to sign in into this app. Everytime it asks to create a new password and then it does not work while log in. Update: Finally was able to log in, but their UI is so confusing that I do not know if I really signed in. And whenever I click on the links they send through my email, it asks to login each time. What the heck!
The best stories are the ones in the newsletter. The articles unlocked with the subscription are boring and irrelevant. Then when you try to cancel, they don't give an option on the website or the app. Do not bother with this app or a payed subscription. Just subscribe to the free newsletter.
I solely downloaded this app to give Business Insider a bad rating. But the rating is due to its desktop site. It will not let me see anything because of an ad-blocker. I disabled it from running on all BI sites, the ads even showed up, and it still keeps giving me the pop-up. I then remove the ad-blocker altogether and clear the browsing data. Guess what? STILL SAYS I'M USING AN AD-BLOCKER. You care so much about money but lost a viewer because of this - now no ads at all.
Too bad you can't follow articles with a specific word. Like Marvel or Disney-specific articles. You need to manually search for a word to find specific themed articles. A feature like this would be good and also to receive a notifications with it.
They offer the most interesting business article in the industry. Whenever I get a notification, nine times out of ten, I'll click.
Keeps crashing every few minutes. I paid for annual subscription and I get this! Stay away and do nothing t subscribe. FWIW, I'm on a Samsung Android phone with a newer OS.
