+ Location: We only use your location for determining nearby actions, trending campaigns, and trending products.
+ Contacts: If you try to invite a friend through the app, we access your contacts to provide you with a list of friends. Under no other circumstances do we access your contacts.
+ Camera: We only access your camera when you are scanning a barcode.

I first tried to scan some local products... the vibration when the app can't find the item is really annoying and I didn't see a way to turn it off. When I scanned some more common items, the scanner worked well, but every item came up with zero supporting or conflicting. Do I have to join a cause? I tried to join one, but that requires an account. I'm too lazy to make an account and add every single cause. Just let me see all the causes a company is connected to.
The last update was in 2016!!! This app has a lot of potential and I hope with the influx of downloads and use of this app that the developers don't give up on it! A lot of the information is user sourced so we input where a certain product/company has ties to what we're boycotting. That could be an issue with reliability but so far this and some own research can help narrow down what's true. I hope the developers keep working to improve it bc the UI and UX do have some issues but still good.
A wonderful concept. I only dock one star because many brands are missing attributes that are well documented. It would be good to be able to suggest a new attribute such as "certified cruelty free" or "uses sustainable Palm oil" but I only see an option to add conflicts. More ways to share info would help the app grow more quickly. Hopefully these capabilities will come in time.
The design is cool, it has a built in system that allows you to learn about many different causes (ranging from keeping away from child slavery to factory farms to the illusion of choice.) I signed up for some of these causes (a few were aimed at staying away from Walmart) so to check if it worked I grabbed some Walmart stuff from home, scanned it, and it said that there's nothing against the causes I've chosen to keep me from buying it. I don't think this app works.
Can be very slow/freeze, but generally, eventually works, and that's the key, considering. Like others have mentioned, would like an app that highlights companies we can safely buy vs ones we can't, would be far more useful and also give those companies doing the right thing desperately needed visibility vs the multibillion dollar marketing dollars spent by all the dirty companies.
It's an interesting idea. However if you're not from the US it doesn't recognize a lot of products. I also had an issue with the barcode scanner trying to scan everything even if it wasn't yet fully visible which lead to a lot of errors and frustration
Generally great, but lacking in variety of products(at least in eastern Europe) and sometimes random errors occur, but it's a really useful app, for those of us who refuse to finance wokeism, corrupt/polluting/virtue signaling corporations , so thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Love the concept but the app is extremely frustrating! Firstly, when it says, "you've joined the campaign, now share" I selected Facebook and wrote about it, posted it and it didn't show up! The only thing that posted was what I had written about it so my post was worthless and confusing. Now I can't get back to the campaign page that explains about it. So I can't even manually post about it! How do I get access to the campaign page again?
When attempting to scan a bar code, regardless of the code, it would only scan a portion of it and then fail to recognize the product. If it can't do literally the one thing it is made to do, it is zero stars.
Ok this app is a really cool idea but I have three HUGE complaints. First of all there's no way to search campaigns, you just scroll through aimlessly. Second, I want to buy non-China products and there's no cause in this app regarding the avoidance of China products, which given the nature of this app, you must admit, that's kind of scandalous. Third, it's SO long to leave campaigns. I want to restart my account from scratch but I can't find a way to reset it. Overall, dissatisfied.
clunky, needs a lot of refinement. crashes are typical, can not identify most products and asks for your help in collecting this info. their auto complete for this doesn't ever match up because, i assume, they don't have the resources to keep up with the every changing nature of industry.
Can't access the primary function of the app without creating an account. Right...because I need yet another useless login and yet another company spamming my email inbox. Come on guys. It's a barcode scanner. If people want to make an account, great, otherwise let me skip the signup process and just tell me if something is made by Nestle. I'll try again in a few months. Maybe they'll come to their senses by then. Oh wait, no, they won't, because then it's harder to monetize and sell the data.
I love the idea behind this app of being able to use your dollar as a form of speech, supporting causes you agree with and vice-versa but the app isn't as intuitive or as easy to use as it could be. Still a great app overall.
This is such a good app,I've made it a goal this year to be way more conscious of where my financial energy is being spent. It's awesome to be able to quickly check at a glance if something aligns with my values or not. You are what you eat, and what you consume you encourage! ✨ Stay mindful!
Excellent. Very informative and Eye Opening. It's also very empowering, knowing where the stuff I buy comes from, and the implications behind the companies that make them. I would highly recommend this app for anyone who's corporate conscious, and wants some way of making a difference, or at least an informed choice in what they're buying.
Its a good ideea, but its really poorly made. So little information about the products , and well known products and sometimes not even accurate. I wish there will be some improvement, i think it could be a really useful app if somebody put the time and a little effort in it.
The Facebook sign-up didn't work so I had to fill in a form to sign up. Then signing up to a cause just brought up a network error. Then it took me to a page that just showed a loading screen for the scanner. When I restarted the app it was the same. It won't let me do anything in the app. I haven't got the energy to keep trying.
It's a powerful thing to know in real time what companies ideals are from the products you buy and what they do/do not support. This app makes it easier for you to align yourself with companies who sell the products you like while also maintaining certain ideals and convictions you may or may not have which is more power to the consumer. I Highly recommend this app.
Great concept, app needs a lot of polishing. Please just crowdsource the data (wiki-style) instead of having to report it and get it to a central authority each time. Makes it easy to "internationalize" too.
I had so much hope for this app but it was truly pointless, incorrect information is everywhere and it just seems like things don't get updated. Campaigns such as no palm oil products support companies that use palm oil. I tried this app about a year ago and nothing has improved, it feels forgotten about. Also it didn't cater well to non US brands either (UK based).
Most useful app I have found in a long time. Sadly there seem to be some technical issues that lead to inaccesible content or crashes. Still happy to give 5 stars to support the cause.
Absolutely amazing app, easy and quick to use and the references in the form of articles is incredible. Issue: sometimes the camera app freezes after taking photograph of a barcode. nothing major though.
I was really excited to try this app but it will not work for me at all. Tried scanning multiple products and it kept telling me there was an error. Tried searching manually and on both mobile data and Wi-Fi, it told me to check my internet connection.
I love the idea of this app, but noone is vetting the campaigns for accuracy. Please, if you use this app, research things and don't just take then for granted because someone made a campaign for it here. There is a lot of misinformation to be had.
I have never rated an app before, but I feel this app beyond deserving. It needs to be talked about more. I absolutely love the level of transparency this app allows you to have. There are some items or brands that are not on the app yet, but tts all a work a progress. Dont get me wrong: A LOT of brand are on there. I think this app is amazing and will be using it the next time I go to the store. To the creators, THANK YOU!
This app has Good Intentions. It could use a bit more upgrades, like more causes and details on the present causes. Maybe some updates on the causes. I like it. When you send a message to the company it would be nice to have their email already there.
Really neat idea, but very sluggish and annoying to use. Events dont seem to be kept up to date with new information, some of them arent even close to recent. The app consistently freezes due to one popup or another and will not progress past a white screen, until you go to close it and the popup shows up properly. Says it hasnt been updated since 2016, and it shows. Id really like to use this as its been recommended for current boycotts, but in its current state Google is more reliable.
